[Sitting alone at one of the tables in the cafeteria, a grown man is folding a piece of paper. The entire table he is sitting at is covered with identical sheets of paper.

What on earth is he doing?]

Well keeping active is good. Do you always make paper hats when you're trying to think?

No, normally I go save a planet or race or spaceliner.

That is completely true. [She hesitates and then speaks] You know we're gaining children at an alarming rate now. I don't know why they brought them here.

I don't either. I don't like it, though. Not one bit.

...Well yes but I don't think we have an ice cream machine.

There are some little boys you'd make very happy if you did so, myself included.

Don't know. I don't think there's enough materials to make one, but I could try.
