[02] || [Doc Brown's Amazing Inventions] || [Open]

Characters: Doc, possibly Marty, Einstein (the dog) and You
Setting: Workshop (15th Floor) on Saturday 26th
Format: Prose or action, whichever you prefer
Summary: Following Marty’s announcement on the network, Doc keep working on his inventions and now accept requests. He offers free pancakes and free cup of coffee to anyone visiting the 'shop' too. Feel free to ask him to invent you something if there's something you need or just visit his working place.
Warnings: None. Marty working with him, he may pop-up at any time.

The first and most noticeable thing in the part of the workshop that's being slowly turned into Doc's lab, are the clocks. There are over ten of them aligned next to each other and they are all absolutely perfectly synchronized. On a table next to them is hovering a black and rather bland hoverboard, with the text '#2 Prototype' written onto it. Under the table was Einstein, laying in a comfy bed for dog Doc made him, nomming on a pancake.

Speaking of pancakes, there is a wonderful machine that automatically produces pancakes regularly working on a table opposite to the one with the hoverboard. And next to it are some delicious pancakes already made and ready to be eaten. Next to it is a coffee maker and a few empty cups next to it.

In the background can be seen the first requests Doc got, and started working on. There's a very long sword awaiting for its owner with a little paper attached on it "For Sephiroth". On the walls there are some blueprints and below the beginning of Doc's work to make that weapon. It's not very advanced yet, but it progresses.

Doc himself can be seen working on some sort of super-computer he's assembled using what he found in the tower- And improved greatly since his last attempts at simulating a time travel. He's wearing traditional lab coat and goggles. There are three screens next to each other, a couple of keyboards and a mess of wire and electronic stuff bellow. The middle screen is that of a classical computer, reading as follow:

Variants
Location: Ok
Atmospheric Conditions: Ok
Vehicle: Ok
Flux Capacitor: Ok
Passengers: _
Destination: _
Instantaneous Speed: _

Please input the variables then press enter to start the simulation

The left screen display the perfect reproduction of a Flux Capacitor with many texts and scientific calculation that are probably unreadable to most people. The screen on the right looks like a video game- It shows a weird car in the Cathedral Floor with nobody sitting in it. As this very moment, Doc is sitting in front of the computer, entering variable in the programs.

Oh look. It was quite possibly the world's biggest killjoy. First, because the level, which he had, admittedly, been using more and more often lately for smiting was now noisy with the sound of the Doc's tinkering machines, but his glare was increased once that pancake machine appeared.

Ingredients were already hard to get and he was hording the floor, and this guy was making pancakes like nothing was wrong. Did he not understand how they had to salvage the food? At least Aki wasn't around to toss protein powder on top, he might have exploded in anger.

If he had been more prideful, he probably would have been insulted by the fact he was upstaging him with the swords too, but honestly he wasn't one to take in jobs others asked. Shinjiro was still learning the trade last he had been practicing it, and from his corner he was mostly quiet as he continued to work the giant machine with the molten metal. If either of them looked over, they might also notice that sometimes the molten lava would hit him and it...didn't do anything. How bizarre.

Actually what was worse was when he moved around with the giant metal bars, lifting them with one hand like it wasn't a problem. The guy was strong, there was no doubt about it. He could be useful to help them move things around...

But if they wanted to befriend him, it would be up to them. Shinjiro mostly kept to himself, if he could.

At least he had rainbows. Most of the scientists Shinjiro had been mad scientists and control freaks. You had to forgive him somewhat. Apart from the fact that he was also Shinjiro, the emotionally distant as a general rule if he didn't know you.

Shinjiro looked down at the lava on the floor, cooling off to become a piece of metal. A little careless there, thanks to all those damn clocks. Geeze, the sound of them was even louder than the hydraulic hammer. He gave the Doc a unapologetic glare.

"No." But didn't explain why not. Instead he took the metal he had been working on and put it right back into the furnace, without the use of gloves or tongues.

"Tch. Listen old man, I ain't exactly normal." He pointed to his equipment, groaning. "I got my stuff. If you were immune to fire, you'd be doing the same."

Well...maybe not shirtless. The world really didn't need or want to see the Doc shirtless except maybe Clara.

"Don't try to bring that science shit into this. This has nothing to do with science. It's paranormal." Did he want him to stick his head in there to prove his point?

"...whatever." Oh my god old man, don't bring too much SCIENCE in this. One of the biggest hurdles the Doc would have to overcome would be Shinjiro's typical hate for scientists in general. The ones in his world were exactly the bad type of mad scientists and the last thing he wanted was hanging around another like that.

That would be a good guess. Sorta. Maybe if Shinjiro actually explained the Persona concept and the gods bestowing them immunities (along with weaknesses), it could be easier to understand.

"...not always immune," he admitted. "I just switched to a Persona that is." He looked at him in a 'awww goddammit, please tell me someone else explained this to you because I am going to hate doing it.'

He wasn't sure what was going on, as Marty had just noticed Doc's drifting away from the shop, but he heard 'persona' and frowned.

Wait, what?

Maybe he shouldn't ask. The guy looked uncomfortable enough. "Doc..."

The biggest hurdle was going to get Shinjiro to accept hospitality from anyone. He wasn't quite used to it and the both of you were just at your first level of Social Link mostly strangers to him. Strangers who put giant clocks in the walls that made a lot of noise. Regardless, he was going to be polite enough to explain.

"Personas. Different aspects of yourself, god and bad. Represented by demons and gods. Tch. Shit's pretty confusing but point is I can bring 'em out and use them to my advantage." Knowing the Doc (and possibly Marty) would want a demo, he took our his Evoker.

"Don't freak out."

Then pointed it to his head, tilting it on the side. While he could use the card to bring out Augustus, the rest still required the gun for now. He just needed a bit of practice using the new method. But this was faster as a demonstration.

"Saturnus!"

A shot was fired, but instead of ending with guts all over, the splatter caused glowing bluish shards to appear and scatter, surrounding him. Above his head the creature god momentarily appeared in the center of the of bluish light, before it disappeared a short time later.

"That's a Persona."
deloreandriver: (What's that?!)

[personal profile] deloreandriver 2012-06-01 03:56 am (UTC)(link)
When he had taken the Evoker out and fired it, Marty had been all about to rush in and save him, even going so far as to shout, "No wait!"

But then that... creature thing appeared, and Marty stared at it, open mouthed.

"Heeeeaavy...."
