[02] || [Doc Brown's Amazing Inventions] || [Open]
Characters: Doc, possibly Marty, Einstein (the dog) and You
Setting: Workshop (15th Floor) on Saturday 26th
Format: Prose or action, whichever you prefer
Summary: Following Marty’s announcement on the network, Doc keep working on his inventions and now accept requests. He offers free pancakes and free cup of coffee to anyone visiting the 'shop' too. Feel free to ask him to invent you something if there's something you need or just visit his working place.
Warnings: None. Marty working with him, he may pop-up at any time.
The first and most noticeable thing in the part of the workshop that's being slowly turned into Doc's lab, are the clocks. There are over ten of them aligned next to each other and they are all absolutely perfectly synchronized. On a table next to them is hovering a black and rather bland hoverboard, with the text '#2 Prototype' written onto it. Under the table was Einstein, laying in a comfy bed for dog Doc made him, nomming on a pancake.
Speaking of pancakes, there is a wonderful machine that automatically produces pancakes regularly working on a table opposite to the one with the hoverboard. And next to it are some delicious pancakes already made and ready to be eaten. Next to it is a coffee maker and a few empty cups next to it.
In the background can be seen the first requests Doc got, and started working on. There's a very long sword awaiting for its owner with a little paper attached on it "For Sephiroth". On the walls there are some blueprints and below the beginning of Doc's work to make that weapon. It's not very advanced yet, but it progresses.
Doc himself can be seen working on some sort of super-computer he's assembled using what he found in the tower- And improved greatly since his last attempts at simulating a time travel. He's wearing traditional lab coat and goggles. There are three screens next to each other, a couple of keyboards and a mess of wire and electronic stuff bellow. The middle screen is that of a classical computer, reading as follow:
………………………………………………………………………………………………… Experiment #0005
………………………………………………………………………………………………… Fifteenth Floor
TIME DISPLACEMENT
Mock-up – 38th Day

Recording: Off. Hit CTRL+F8 to turn the recording on.
Variants
Location: Ok
Atmospheric Conditions: Ok
Vehicle: Ok
Flux Capacitor: Ok
Passengers: _
Destination: _
Instantaneous Speed: _
Please input the variables then press enter to start the simulation
The left screen display the perfect reproduction of a Flux Capacitor with many texts and scientific calculation that are probably unreadable to most people. The screen on the right looks like a video game- It shows a weird car in the Cathedral Floor with nobody sitting in it. As this very moment, Doc is sitting in front of the computer, entering variable in the programs.

For Science!
Uninterested in pancakes or coffee, Fuhito lingers behind Doc, reading the computer screen over his shoulder and analyzing the image and interesting schematic calculations of the device shown on the left.]
So, you've managed time displacement-- fascinating.
SOMEHOW Doc gathers all the creepy scientists to him
Time displacement is the work of my life! It's taken years and all of my family's resources, but yes I have managed it.
[ And because Doc can't stop talking about that, he points the variable screen. ]
Alas, realizing it in this tower is more complicated. Not only I have to take into account the difference in the space-time continuum, but there are no surface large enough for the time vehicle to reach the required 88 miles per hour, so I need to work on alternatives.
Creepy Scientist Magnet (tm)
You plan to use your device as a means of escape. [It's a statement, not a question.]
I look forward to seeing your results-- [Fuhito struggles for the proper title, and comes up short.] sir.
You're obviously quite devoted to your work. I've always found complete dedication essential to mine.
My name is Fuhito.

I expect to have my first results in a couple months, alas working through simulation takes a lot of time.
[
Badluck that Sephiroth didn't warn Doc about Fuhito just yet. ]Fuhito? I am Doctor Emmett Brown, it's a pleasure to meet a fellow scientist in this tower! May i ask what your specialty in science it?

Your application of theory is fascinating, Doctor-- and your commitment is inspiring.
But I can't help but feel your work might be wasted, focused in this way.
It's my theory that there has been no destruction of worlds or universes. I believe this to be a vast and well-run experimental simulation. As to what its aims or its genesis might be, I've yet to form a hypothesis, but my research is proceeding, and that is something.
My-- primary background is in environmental biology and biomechanics.
[Warning? What warning? He's just doing science!]

[ He pauses. That could make sense, yet it is obvious people from countless worlds are present. Hum... ]
Yet I believe it's better if we consider both options, yours and theirs. The way I see it, even if our universes have not been destroyed, there is no way we can be sure so I'd rather work on solutions as to be on the safe side!
[ Some people do science and cares about ethics. ]
Biology and biomechanics? I see, that's an interesting domain, not quite mine but I know the basics and worked on it occasionally.
