{Kidou decided when he woke up today that he had given Sakuma long enough to calm down over the events that had happened upon Genda arriving. He had a plan, a plan to get Sakuma to forgive Genda or at least talk to him again.

After getting changed, he notices Sakuma still asleep and walks over, crouching down so he can be face-to-face with him and gently shaking his shoulder]

Sakuma, wake up.

[Genda suddenly jumping in surprises him but as he watches the other boy reach the penguins, he's so excited he forgets he's feeling awkward around the other boy. When Genda gets out of the tank, Sakuma's beside him. wordlessly reaching out to pet the penguin too.]

[ That was a bold move! Haruna lets out a cry of astonishment as Genda emerges with a baby penguin. She manages to pet it too despite the crowd it is managing to gather. ]

Awww, his fur is still fuzzy. [ a giggle ]

{Kidou crosses his arms and lets out an amused sigh. This was going a lot better then he thought it would.]

Be careful that you don't hold it for too long, it's still young and we wouldn't want to imprint on it and have it unable to return to it's parents.

[... B-but he kind of
wants to keep it

It looks so confused in his arms, though - looking up at Sakuma and Haruna and wiggling its feet a little.]

... Do you want to pet it before I let it go, Kidou?

[That makes Sakuma smile. After ignoring Genda for days, he forgot how silly the other boy can be.]

You should; it's really soft.

[He's also wants to keep it but understands they can't.]

Yeah, Onii-chan. Especially its tummy.

[ Honestly she is bit sad to see the little one go, but she knows they'll be here. So she'll just save all the gushing for later. ]

Oh, alright. [Way to peer pressure him guys!!!! Though, he secretly wanted to pet it this whole time anyway. He walks over and gently scratches it's tummy, smiling warmly as it wiggles and makes adorable noises. Why were baby penguins so cute????]

... How about we keep it? We could all take turns taking care of it, and we could take it to swim, and feed it...

[H-he said that they just shouldn't imprint on it, right? Never said they couldn't... keep it...]

[As much as he likes the idea...]

Don't be stupid, you'll be taking it away from its family.

[Only he spoke before thinking and as soon as the words leave his mouth he remembers he's been ignoring Genda. He looks up at Genda awkwardly then quickly looks away again.]

The thought is tempting isn't it?

[ Haruna looks over the tank and sees an adult penguin hovering over them. Or more specifically, the baby penguin. ]

But it looks like the parent is already here - ...

[ And before she can finish, the mommy penguin jumps out of the water and waddles over to them. ]

See, Genda? As much as I'm sure we would all love to take care of it, it has a family it needs to return to. {A pause]

You wouldn't want to be taken away from your parents or siblings, would you?

[whatpenguin]

... You mean my grandparents.

[He doesn't... have... ...

Okay, he puts the penguin down by its parent, letting out a sigh.]

... Are there other animals here? Like cats or dogs?

[Seeing as their attentions are turning away from the penguins and Sakuma's not really interested in other animals, he wanders away a bit. He's planning on staying by the penguins' tank if they do leave.

Besides, he's figuring out when he can apologize.]

[ Haruna notices Sakmua drifting away from the group and wonders if she should calls out to him - but that look on his face tells her that she should probably leave him be for now.

Now what is this about cats and dogs? ]

Genda-san you really want a pet, don't you?

I haven't noticed anything yet, but I imagine there might be.

... I wouldn't mind having a pet, here.
It's hard to sleep without my pets.

[He's used to having his three cats taking up a bunch of space...]

We could all go look, couldn't we?

[That's his attempt at bringing Sakuma back into the group, of course - he's even giving the other boy a warm, happy smile.]

[Aw no, Genda, don't do that. You're making him feel even more guilty for treating you badly.]

[He doesn't move from where he is to rejoin the group though.]

[ Hey this is a perfect chance to get them to clear things out. Haruna quickly grabs onto Kidou's arm. ]

Actually. I want to look at the aquarium more. Would it be okay if I take Onii-chan for a little while you two?

[ A GRIN. ]

{He's a little startled as she grabs onto his arms.]
But I had a few more things to talk about--

[But. Friends being friends again was really important, and maybe it would get those two to stop fighting..] --though I guess I could save it for later.

Oh, uh... No, it's okay.

[He goes over to Sakuma with a smile, holding his hand out as if to say "you're coming with me". >:T]

[No, please, don't leave him alone with Genda... Not like he has a choice though.]

[Trying to say that in the most normal tone he can manage, yep.]

[ And you're coming with me Onii-chan. Haruna happily leads the way to the tropical fish section.
