{Kidou decided when he woke up today that he had given Sakuma long enough to calm down over the events that had happened upon Genda arriving. He had a plan, a plan to get Sakuma to forgive Genda or at least talk to him again.

After getting changed, he notices Sakuma still asleep and walks over, crouching down so he can be face-to-face with him and gently shaking his shoulder]

Sakuma, wake up.

[Oh, damnit. Genda lets out a curse under his breath, scrambling for something to use to get Sakuma away from that... thing - and finds a sharp rock on the forest floor.
As far as he's concerned, that's perfect.

He dashes then, and with a quick, strong swing shears through Sakuma's hair, and manages to pull him away - chucking the rock at whatever it was afterwards, of course.
Which luckily seems to ward it away fully.]

Come on, Sakuma - we should get out of here!

[Or you'll probably lose more than your hair next time...]

[He doesn't need to be told twice and he's immediately scrambling towards the staircase. Only when they reach the next floor did he stop. Sakuma drops to his knees, breathing heavily. Suffice to say, he's thoroughly shaken by their encounter.]

W-what was that?

[whatpenguin]

... A monster. Or something.

[He leans against the wall, panting a bit, and shakes his head. He should've known.]

... Someone told me there are... monsters here. In this tower.
I'm sorry. It's my fault we rushed ahead like that.

[kickspenguins]

No, it was me. I took us there.

[Sakuma's still sitting there, shaking a little. Then, very hesitatingly, he reaches up and touches his haphazardly cut hair and furrows his brows.]

[whatpenguin]

... At least let me apologize for that.
There was probably a better way to get you out of that...

[He kneels then, looking at the damage he caused. ... It looks pretty bad, but that's what happens when you use a rock.]

... We could probably have Otonashi-san clean it up, right?

[kickspenguins]

..It's fine.

[He's disappointed, of course. It took a long time for his hair to reach that length.]

That saved me, anyway. You shouldn't feel bad.

[whatpenguin]

I suppose.

... Besides - hair can always grow again, right?

[He still feels bad, though...]

[He tries to smile but what with still being freaked out over getting attacked and being sad about his hair that kind of fails so he stop.]

Yeah, it can.

[He sighs a little.]

Can we go back now? I don't want to go anywhere else anymore.

[whatpenguin]

Yeah. Let's... let's go somewhere safe.

[They can go back to the penguins or something.
Genda stands, offering his hand to help Sakuma up.]

[kickspenguins]

Okay.

[He takes Genda's hand and stands up. He's willing to go anywhere Genda leads him as long as it's not back to the forest.]

Sorry you didn't get to see any cats.

[whatpenguin]

... It's okay. If there are cats here, I'm sure I'll find them.

[He's Genda, after all!
But he'll just take him back to the aquarium - it's the safest floor he knows of that's nearby, after all.]

[kickspenguins]

[Okay, being back at the aquarium is okay too ad now that they're here, Sakuma's finally feeling normal again. Normal enough to worry what others might think of his messily cut hair.]

Does it look weird?

Not at all.

Well, a little bit. But we can fix that.

[Sakuma snorts at that but it actually put him in better spirit than earlier for some reason.]

You're right. It'll definitely take some getting used to though.
