What goes BUMP in the night
Characters: Prussia and Hungary/ open
Setting: In the darkened corridors of the dorms
Format: Prose?
Summary: The power's gone out, so Prussia is scouting to try to find out why this is.
Warnings: TBA
After the power had gone out, and had been out for longer than a few hours Prussia had given up on waiting around in his room and speculating on what had gone wrong in the tower. But once he was out in the hallways, armed with his sword, was when the sense of foreboding started in. It wasn't the dark that had him worried, he'd grown through the centuries where campfires were the only source of light and being in the dark was more than just a literal sense of the word. It was the movement he'd noticed in the shadows, vague humanoid shapes that'd vanish when he'd turn to peer into the murky darkness. Yet he swore he knew the silhouette of the figures that disappeared.
What had disturbed him more had been the voices that he'd sworn he'd heard calling his name and whispering close to him. Brandishing his sword he looked around into the darkness, this was much too strange for him.

"It really feels like there's almost no gravity with how dark it is here."

Turning her head back towards the bathroom, she took a deep breath and stepped inside with one foot, then another. Instantly she felt her ankles get snared and tugged harsh that swept her legs out from under her with a harsh scream only to get dragged in to the bathroom with the door slamming tightly shut behind her and between the two Nations.

"Liz!" he yelled, trying to hear any sound of struggle from within the darkness. Panic was crawling up his spine as he heard that same childlike whispering calling to him. "Fuck, Liz!"
no subject
"Get out!" She yelled at him. "It's just as dangerous in here as out there!" Her concern was for him before herself. How could he heal if he only injured himself more?

"Fuck I'm an idiot." he cursed and flicked open the lighter, immediately illuminating the once pitch black bathroom. The hulking shadow he saw made him curse loudly and slash at it. The shadow didn't seem effected in the slightest by the sword but cringed away from the light of the open flame, snarling at him and trying to lash out.
"HAHA scared of light are you, stupid fucker!" he growled and made his way back toward where Hungary's voice was heard, never taking his eyes off the shadowy creature.

Hopping the best she good, she grabbed his arm and tried to pull him with her back in to the room."The room is the safe zone . It's like Holy ground or something."
no subject
"When I say so, slam the door." he said, taking a step backward over the threshold into the bedroom and keeping the lighter up. "NOW!" he took the final step back into the room so they were both clear of the doorway and the door for her to slam shut.

Trembling just a bit from the blood loss, when they step back quickly and he shouted, she used her good leg and kicked the door shut violently only to hold her breath in hopes that her theory was right.
no subject
"Looks like your theory was right. Do you have any candles in here?" he asked still holding the lighter and looking at her torn leg.

Her leg continued to tremble and she nodded and leaned over to her bedside drawer to fish out a couple of plain white candlesticks. "Here. I didn't realize you had a lighter." She said while handing them over to him.
"So far, I can heart fully say I hate this place."

"I hope you're not fond of your bed sheets because one is becoming bandaging." he said and pulled a white sheet off of the bed and began tearing it into long strips.

Tucking some hair behind her ear, she sighed and glanced down while moving herself to help gather she sheet off of the bed. In the pale glow, she looked normal but only a few shades paler with lips nearly fading to a purple blue. It had taken a wicked bite from her leg, but Hungary was determined not to let something like that beat her, no matter what.
"I believe the saying 'caught between a rock and a hard place' applies to our situation here. I don't like the idea of being trapped." She sighed while helping him rip apart the sheet in long rectangles to use as bandages.

"You have anything to clean this? Alcohol, those make-up wipes that girls use, anything?" he asked while putting pressure against the gashes to slow their bleeding. Looking up at her he wore an expression that was rarely if ever seen on him; concern. "You feeling okay? Lightheaded, cold, dizzy, like you're going to puke?" he asked.
no subject
"I don't have anything in here but bottled water." She said as she fell back on the bed with a groan. "Well- I feel dizzy...probably like I'm going to throw up but whatever." She said quietly as she tried to control her breathing to the best of her ability.
no subject
"Hey if you're going to puke, not on me. Here." he grabbed a bucket shaped object beside him and handed it to her. "Just stay still and it'll pass." he mumbled and worked on fixing her leg. Just how badly it was bitten worried him, he'd had wounds like this before and even as a kingdom in the height of his power it took a long time to heal.
Finishing the last loop around her leg he tied it and looked over the bandaging. Already he could see where it was bleeding through but he was thankful that the rate had dropped.
"I think you're lucky and it missed your main artery."

Just swallowing heavily, she gave the weakest of nods to him and just rested against her bed.

"Hey Liz, you need to stay awake okay. Look at me, you need to stay awake." he said, red eyes watching her own green ones closely. His chest was still aching from earlier and he bit his lip, trying to think if there was anything else he could do. He shot a glance at the door then back at her. He could risk going out in the hallway with the lighter again and try to make it to the infirmary and back but it was almost certain death to step outside of the bedrooms.
Course, he didn't know if Liz was going to be able to keep going with a wound that bad. It was a loose loose situation he found himself in and he took a moment to debate. Whatever was out there wanted him dead, but with how much blood Liz had lost, she wasn't in the clear either.
no subject
"Don't..go out there. Promise me." She said quietly with tired eyes barely opening to stare tiredly up at him. "I can't be there to protect you."
no subject
"You know, I think its been centuries since you've had to protect me Liz. But...I don't think I can promise you that. You're bleeding badly and need stitches and we have nothing here either to help you replace the amount of blood you lost." he sighed and looked at her, still unsure of if he should go or not. It was a gamble but he was willing to risk it, after all he was a ghost of a nation anyway.
