[Oh, he can accept their existence, all right. He just likes comparing.]

You can fly? And some sort of detection... That's very impressive. I'm a mage myself, so I delight in learning about the different kinds of magic brought here from different worlds.

[So he does have magic. Maybe he'd be amenable to sharing some of it, or maybe she could surprise him and keep him still long enough and shut up shut up shut up . That is not how a teammate thinks.]

Y-Yeah. I mean, um, so would I. I-I'd, um, offer to show off a bit, but... [Here she gives her collar a tug - Tara has started to realize that it's at least in part to blame for her weakness.] ...kind of, um, running low.
fallen_stage: Kuja looking up, hair spread out behind him (Who inward search'd)

Running low... so rest doesn't replace your natural stores?

[He had a few restorative in his trunk upon arrival, but Kuja would rather save them for emergencies. However, who could know what good could come from the offer? For now he'll try to learn the mechanics first, before giving away his limited resources.]

[It slowly replaces her natural stores. Tara has just...well, gotten out of the habit of relying on her natural stores. She feels almost ill with weakness, having to rely on her own powers with an empty collar to boot.

But, realizing what she'd just said, what she's just possibly admitted about herself, a second too late, Tara shakes her head and stumbles to recover.]
Um, i-it does, just...really slowly. Especially with, w-with me being, um, kind of in bad shape when we first got here. Still kind of, um, patching myself up. That's, um, where all the energy's going. Less with the magic. I think.
fallen_stage: Full shot of Kuja, smiling with his arm upraised and hips swinging (In action how like an angel)

Sounds like a Regen spell to me. If it's really draining you so much, I could heal you with my magic right now.

[Little does Kuja know that Zidane offered her the exact same thing about a week ago.]

With your body repaired, your magic would return to its normal state.

[Zidane did offer her something very similar, yes, and that coupled with a week of bedrest repaired the weight on her body. So, if Kuja were to cast such a spell on her, now...Tara wonders, with desperate hope, if she might not get that excess energy to use as her own, without doing something so obvious as draining him.]

R-Really? Um, if, i-if you could...th-that'd be great.

Of course, it's simply no trouble at all.

[This time Kuja isn't lying at all. He casts Curaga with only a murmured incantation an a little light show. Tara should be feeling better immediately, any damage or pain wiped away. Kuja looks no worse the wear for it.]

Feeling better?

[personal profile] moontothetide 2012-06-14 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
[...holy mother goddess, that was good.

Needless to say, Tara is looking leaps and bounds more energetic, and her suspicions are confirmed. She feels as though she's just drained someone...without actually having had to drain the power out of someone. She feels downright peppy, and Tara has to take a second to even remember the name for that.]

Y-Yeah. Lots. Thanks - that, th-that was amazing!
fallen_stage: Kuja does that smirky smile too much (To a most dangerous sea)

[personal profile] fallen_stage 2012-06-14 03:06 am (UTC)(link)
[The change is more dramatic than Kuja was expecting. He smiles, happy at causing such a difference.]

You're very welcome. Like I said, it's a trifling effort from me, so if you ever need a boost, don't hesitate.
