[Then they're going to get along just fine, because unlike others who tend to go into a blind rage, he's normally quite excellent at not letting his emotions rule him, but using them to an advantage. ...Unless of course a certain child was at risk, then they're all doomed.

Yet said child wasn't here, and they claimed that she was dead. Anything is possible at this point. One can only hope it's for their betterment, and not the fools in charge.]

Much as it pains me to say it, death might be the nicer alternative for us in this group.

[There was a lot of hesitation in his voice, especially after the first surgery... but he'd like to think that Alice was right on this one... It was rare for his other selves to lie to him before now... except Loki, but c'mon. It's Loki.]

The general rule is a day at best, but with these "games" I'm not entirely sure. We stayed dead until the end of it last time.

[Rages aren't always bad. In fact sometimes they can be useful. But in most cases Lucifer likes to take a more measured approach to things.]

Do you truly think the other groups might have it any better?

[Because he doesn't know anything about the people keeping them here. Not really. He only just arrived and all he knows is what he's learned while stuck in this place through the last couple of weeks and during these experiments.]

[A measure of control and icy tempers are oftentimes scarier to an opponent than blind rage, he'll admit. It all depends on the circumstance.]

I can hope that they do. Things were...a lot better in the tower with Dax in control that month.

[He hasn't been here for long, but comparing between him, Jason, and now this... his favor lies with Dax's group if nothing else. Things were relatively peaceful, and they weren't lab rats like now...]

Eight days, I think. [He gives a wry hint of a smirk.] Only lasted six, and even after that... we were punished for dying during it.

[It's not much but at least that's something in regards to the people who run this place.]

[Alright. Lucifer can't help but smile a bit at that. Most would think death itself would be the ultimate punishment but Lucifer could think of a few ways to heap even more admonishment upon it.]

I would much rather prefer to live, even in captivity if just because I believe you can always break out of captivity.

And yet death would be preferable and make more sense in contrast to this at the moment.

Either way, there are both risks we'd have to face. To be honest, I have to agree. We've always preferred life over death. But this...
