It is.

Sometimes old sayings do have something to offer. And sometimes they're nonsense. The new has to have room to come in.

And all things, in the end, leave and are forgotten. Even a saying all people know like that someday will just be a memory in the wind.

That's just a little obvious, though. Change is inevitable. It's how they cope with it that's interesting. ... Don't you think?

This will probably seem like an eternity to those here, but it is really nothing more than a moment, a glimpse of time. This, too, will be passed. ... But I do not think what was learned here will be as soon forgotten.

You would be surprised at how many believe change may be halted.

The coping is always the most interesting part, because it's those who cope best that make the most change.

[Lucifer puts the pointer finger of his right hand and lays it against his chin, thinking.]

Perhaps it will be. Perhaps it won't be. In the end there's no such thing as a pointless gesture. As a meaningless action. All actions lead to something grander, to a sum total. It just takes a very specific eye to see where it might lead.

I would hope they might show more resistance. But then again, I have on rare occasions been proven wrong.
