{01} Intro
Characters: Aphrodi and whoever he bumps into!
Setting: Room 1-18 for most of the morning, everywhere else in the afternoon
Format: Action, but I can match!
Summary: enter obligatory confused!introduction! And perhaps a little bit of sulking around since he doesn't want to be here.
Warnings: teeny reference to death, possibly language and um, that's it for now. Will update if needed!
[Room 1-18]
[ The first thought that pops into Aphrodi's head when he wakes up and finds he can't move is that, damn, he's dead again. The fact that he even had to wake up in the first place was a huge giveaway to something weird having happened but once the sleep paralysis passes, things stop making sense.
He can get up. So he's... still kind of alive. Okay, that's always a good thing. Aphrodi tugs at his collar a few times to try and get it off but it refuses to budge. That's not so okay. It's not the kind of thing he usually wears, and plus its implications are rather scary to think about (being owned by something is certainly not what he planned to do in his remaining days on Earth. Or not Earth, it seems). And then he sees the notes, which makes things even more not-okay, and then he starts to panic a little.
So, fellow dwellers of Room 1-18, you have yourselves +1 roommate (still in the clothes he woke up in) currently obsessively brushing his hair, generally being jittery and pacing the room and some feathers scattered about. He tried to pick them up at first and put them on a pile on his bed but gave up. ]
[Everywhere Else]
[ Aphrodi managed to calm himself down by the time the afternoon rolled around and finally got himself dressed into something more casual -- although the collar is still annoying and wouldn't come off, so it's covered with a scarf that only kind of matches the outfit. He's stomping around and trying to memorise every single room and corridor that he comes across.
Not to mention he's kicking a soccer ball around because he finds that dribbling it helps keep him grounded when he's in a situation where he has no idea what else to do; what better than to keep on doing what's familiar? He'd already thanked whatever gods (and himself, of course) brought his soccer ball along with the rest of his stuff.
...He's not being too observant, so if he does bump into someone or kick the ball at them a little too hard, it's completely on accident. ]

That would be good! I'm pretty interested as to how you manage.
no subject
The trunk at the end of the bed has your stuff, by the way! I forgot to mention that...
[And now he's rifling through his own stuff!]
But yeah! Sakuma's here, and his friend Kidou; I helped Kidou out the last time this place tried to do something terrible to us. He's not so good at fighting, so I fought all the monsters and kept him safe.
Aha!
[There's his Deku Leaf! He pulls it out with a smile, watching the leaf unfurl in response to his magic. It's so neat!
And then he climbs onto his bed, jumping off and using the Deku Leaf to glide across the room.]
This is my Deku Leaf! The Great Deku Tree gave it to me - he's the spirit of the forest! And he's really nice, too!
no subject
[ ...if these people managed to get his wardrobe and bathroom's stuff in there, he will be impressed. ]
Kidou too, huh. Of course. [ They are best friends, right? ...At least he made peace with Kidou somewhat during his time on the team. ] You're pretty brave!
[ Staring at that leaf now. How did that manage to let him glide so far. ]
Deku trees, huh? [ He's so confused right now. ] That's pretty neat. Small in size, too!
no subject
Of course I'm brave, heh. I'm a Hero!
And yes - the Deku Leaf is really, really neat!
I've gotta use my magic to use it, but it doesn't take a lot.
no subject
That's right you are. [ "Hero" seems strangely fitting for this kid now that they've been talking for a while. ]
Oh, of course. Your magic. [ ...this does not make him any less confused. ] Looks pretty simple.
no subject
[He holds the leaf out, grinning.]
I know you can fly somehow without it, but it's fun anyway!
no subject
[ He mock-pouts. ]
I feel like I've missed out on something fun.
no subject
I'm not even that good with magic, anyway, so that's okay!
[The Deku Leaf is pretty automatic, after all.]
no subject
I'm sure it's plenty great. You could explore new places with it, since it allows you to glide around. [ Being airborne is always a huge plus when exploring. ]
no subject
[He can't say no to that at all. The sense of adventure and exploration - it's awesome.]
I used it a lot in this place called the Forbidden Woods; my friend Makar got lost in there, and I had to go help him.
Flying over the sea to get there was kind of scary at first, but it was a lot of fun, too!
no subject
[ Sounds like he did a fair bit of adventuring. ]
Yes, seems like a good thing to have, especially if you need to help people.
[ Although, he's not quite sure if he approves of flying over the sea. ]
no subject
... Do you have anything neat like this, Aphrodi?
no subject
Nope! The only "neat" thing I have is hair conditioner. [ He nods sagely. Best thing ever created, yep. ]
no subject
What's that?
[Feel free to scream, Aphrodi.]
no subject
Are you joking?
no subject
What's it do?
[A-and why does it make you make noises like that, Aphrodi??]
no subject
Okay, let me check in my trunk to see if I have it.
[ He reaches into his trunk and goes through the stuff, at the same time seeing what is here and what's not -- and making a few disappointed faces at how little was brought over.
Eventually he pulls out a bottle of pearly liquid. ]
This.
no subject
... But what does it do?
[Sorry! Not his fault his world isn't as technological as everything else! >:T]
I saw some in the washroom here, but I never knew what it was for, so I never used it...
no subject
[ Okay fine. Aphrodi holds out a few locks of his hair for Sea to touch because clearly he's a hands-on learner. It's supershiny and soft because he
spends far too long on ittakes care of it well. ]no subject
... Why would you want to make your hair better?
It's just hair.
no subject
Because it's.... better? Hair is part of your appearance, and appearances should be kept and nurtured so that you're always looking your best.
no subject
[How has Aphrodi not noticed that this kid doesn't have the best appearance. Covered in tiny battle scars, and thanks to the lack of power this last month, he's not that clean. And he's underfed, too...]
I mean, I guess if you want to impress someone, but... I don't know.
It seems like it takes too much time, to me!
no subject
I guess it just feels good to know that I'm looking my best? It isn't necessarily for impressing people -- being at your best also boosts your own psyche!
no subject
[He leans back, arms crossed as he thinks that over.]
... I guess that makes sense...
But it still takes too long, doesn't it?
no subject
It doesn't matter if it takes long. In fact, if it takes a long time, it feels more rewarding by the end.
