{01} Intro
Characters: Aphrodi and whoever he bumps into!
Setting: Room 1-18 for most of the morning, everywhere else in the afternoon
Format: Action, but I can match!
Summary: enter obligatory confused!introduction! And perhaps a little bit of sulking around since he doesn't want to be here.
Warnings: teeny reference to death, possibly language and um, that's it for now. Will update if needed!
[Room 1-18]
[ The first thought that pops into Aphrodi's head when he wakes up and finds he can't move is that, damn, he's dead again. The fact that he even had to wake up in the first place was a huge giveaway to something weird having happened but once the sleep paralysis passes, things stop making sense.
He can get up. So he's... still kind of alive. Okay, that's always a good thing. Aphrodi tugs at his collar a few times to try and get it off but it refuses to budge. That's not so okay. It's not the kind of thing he usually wears, and plus its implications are rather scary to think about (being owned by something is certainly not what he planned to do in his remaining days on Earth. Or not Earth, it seems). And then he sees the notes, which makes things even more not-okay, and then he starts to panic a little.
So, fellow dwellers of Room 1-18, you have yourselves +1 roommate (still in the clothes he woke up in) currently obsessively brushing his hair, generally being jittery and pacing the room and some feathers scattered about. He tried to pick them up at first and put them on a pile on his bed but gave up. ]
[Everywhere Else]
[ Aphrodi managed to calm himself down by the time the afternoon rolled around and finally got himself dressed into something more casual -- although the collar is still annoying and wouldn't come off, so it's covered with a scarf that only kind of matches the outfit. He's stomping around and trying to memorise every single room and corridor that he comes across.
Not to mention he's kicking a soccer ball around because he finds that dribbling it helps keep him grounded when he's in a situation where he has no idea what else to do; what better than to keep on doing what's familiar? He'd already thanked whatever gods (and himself, of course) brought his soccer ball along with the rest of his stuff.
...He's not being too observant, so if he does bump into someone or kick the ball at them a little too hard, it's completely on accident. ]

I'm Aphrodi! It's nice to meet you.
I did just arrive, yes -- just this morning, in fact.
no subject
Nice to meet ya too. You can call me Issun.
[He'd shake his hand if he were just a mite taller...!!]
Just this morning, huh? Well, you're in luck, honey - seems pretty close to cleaning up around here!
It's not normally this nasty; though I can't say the same about the grub! Heh!
... Hey - y'think I can ask ya for a favor?
no subject
Of course! So long as it's within my ability to do, of course.
no subject
Y'see - I'm an artist, and I've never seen someone with hair like yours before! I think you'd look stunnin' in a painting!
no subject
Do you want me to stand in a certain way or...?
no subject
[He pulls out a scroll then - surprisingly, it's normal sized - and gets ready with his brush and ink!]
I can paint anything!
no subject
Alright!
[ Aphrodi will just... stand then. He's not sure how to pose since he's never been painted (!!) before. ]
no subject
Once he's done, he looks it over for a moment, before turning it for Aphrodi to see. It's... pretty damn gorgeous, of course.
All of him captured in the Ukiyo-e style of old. Kind of looks like something you'd see in a museum!]
So - what do ya think?
no subject
He stares at it for a few seconds with wide eyes. ]
It- It's really, really good! Ah, am I allowed to keep it?
no subject
Y'know, you should be kinda flattered, too. Normally all I paint are the gods!
[But Aphrodi was just too pretty not to --]
no subject
I guess being Aphrodi is close enough.
no subject
[That goes straight over his head, sorry.]
Hah - I guess you are lovely enough for something like this, huh?
[Yep. Right over his head. Whoosh.]

Heh, never heard of'er before, though. All the gods I paint are the ones of Nippon!
But with the whole "other worlds" thing, I guess I'm not too surprised if ya don't know'em.

It's alright! "Other worlds" are rather confusing. [ Aphrodi has only barely managed to wrap his head around the concept of them. ]
