Summary: Futomimi discovers sleep paralysis and fishes. Not together.
Warnings: None so far.

Sleep paralysis would not be so bad without the impression of something terrible looming over him. After ten extremely long minutes, Futomimi can finally sit up in his unknown bed, looking around the room with wide eyes, his heart thumping and his hair askew.

After having found his usual clothes in the trunk at the foot of his bed and changed, Futomimi set off to explore this strange new world whose rules allowed him, a Manikin, to live. On his way down the Tower, the sight and sound of water caught his attention, and he entered Floor 10. There was indeed water there, but it was suspended by some kind of magic and full of living creatures swimming peacefully. Futomimi was so fascinated by the sight he forgot to look where he was going.

Amazing... *Such a big predator, swimming calmly among the other fishes. It reminded Futomimi of the Demi-Fiend a bit, and it made him smile.*

Yeah, sharks are really cool. I remember reading they've got these electric senses and stuff, so they know about everything in the water around them. It's really cool.

[ She grins. ]

Fish are pretty cool. They're also pretty free.

*Futomimi smiles slightly at her.* They are indeed very 'cool'. It's my first time seeing live fishes that are not demons. *He paused. ... no, none felt like a demon."

[ She glances at him, curious. ]

Demons? You mean, like, Oni and stuff? From those old legends...? Where do you live?

[foreseeing_one]

I live in a world inhabited by demons and mythical creatures called the Vortex World. In fact, I am surprised I can survive in this place.

[rocketboobs]

[ She gasps. ]

Whoa! That's...

[ She falls silent, and then just sort of gets closer to Futomimi, beaming. ]

SO COOL!! Oh, my god, are you like, a demon thing? Are you not human? You must be the coolest! The ultimate rebellion!!

*Futomimi lets her get closer, a little confused by her enthusiasm.* I believe I do count as a demon now, though I was not human to begin with. I am Futomimi, prophet and leader of the Manikins.

[ She confuses everyone, Futomimi. It's cool. ]

What're Manikins like? --Oh, right, I'm Rhyth! Nice to meet you~!

Nice to meet you as well, Rhyth. Manikins are nice, human-like beings who wish to live in peace and free of slavery.

[ She sighs, but offers Futomimi a sympathetic smile. ]

Oh, so you guys get oppressed too, huh? Humans have that problem too. It's why my friends and I put our art all over the place. We rebel 'cause we don't like the idea of people being stamped into this single thing, or labeled this one thing, or thought of as something.

You sound cool, though. I guess it's hard to find a world free of oppression, huh?

It is. That's why I tried to uphold a Reason, to create a world where everyone would be equal and live in peace. I believe in miracles. If you believe, too, you should never give up.
