Summary: He's working at the makeshift lab/food bar on Floor 38.

The pancake batter was getting a little on the thin side, but that didn't deter the teenager as he prepared it for cooking in the automatic pancake maker. Marty tried really hard to stretch out their supplies, and while he was really grateful the power was back on which meant less monsters hanging around (and to be honest he was still a little mystified monsters actually existed, let alone all the other stuff he'd seen since being here) he hoped it meant that the cafeteria was going to come back too.

What was going to happen to the Pancake Stand (as he liked to call it) if that happened? It was fun, if.... different, getting to know the people that came for pancakes and cooking the food they brought. Still, he was getting pretty tired of pancakes.

Giving the machine the last bit of batter, Marty took off his makeshift apron and walked over to flop down on a sofa, a book nicked from the library in hand, while the machine did its work. He'd get to the coffee later, if they even had any left, but it was still pretty early and he didn't expect anyone to show up just yet.

[He stops and steps off, flipping the board up and tucking it under his arm.]

Uhhh...

[ That was an odd question. He was pretty sure he could, but he kind of needed a Tannen for that.]

I've been chased by cars with people trying to shoot me. Does that count?

Hmmm. Not bad. As long as you've got real moves and you're not just doing it to impress people, you can get somewhere, you know?

[ She can tell, yes.

Still, this guy could have some talent... given their lack of GG-level material thusfar, well... ]

Oh believe me, I've had some close calls. Why?

[He went back over to the pancake table and put his hoverboard away, and then checked the machine over.

There was a pretty large stack of pancakes by now.]

[ She just sort of lays back lazily where she's sitting, here. ]

'Cause I'm a rudie is why. I like having fun. I like skating. I like doing tricks as much as the next girl or guy. If people can back up their big talk, then that's cool. If not, then you're kind of a loser, you know?

Besides, I'm part of the GGs. We're pretty much the only name you need to know anyway.

[Marty pours some more batter into the machine to make some more pancakes, then wipes his hands on a towel and shrugs.]

Oh, nah, I got a few but they're nothing fancy.

[That should about do it for the morning rush.]

The GGs huh?

My friends, yeah. We're all about freedom, though. Freedom and having fun and hanging out. We're pretty much the only people you need to know.

[ She does sort of get up here, and stretches before speaking again. ]

Although... we're always up for new talent, but it's kind of hard to find it here when you don't have skates for people. Our skates we bought regular or customized or whatever, but with everyone here from different places, would it even be possible for us to find the parts to make them?

[Need skates, huh? Well... it wasn't his strong suit, but he could try.]

There's stuff down in the workshop, materials and tools. I could try making a pair. Doc's working on more hoverboards.
