[After finding out the tower's been restocked, Genda's well past raided the fridge by now - he's cooked everything he knows how, prepared tons of homestyle meals, and now?
He's got it all spread out on a table and he is stuffing his face.
Genda's also made sure to avoid anything he deems inedible, too. Which means no poisonous foods, and definitely no vegetables, yuck.

You're free to the food too, of course! As it is, he's probably going to offer anyway.
... Not that he wouldn't be able to eat it all himself.]

[That gets a bit of a smile until he finishes whatever he'd been devouring at the moment -]

After that month, I had to get some sort of real food in me.
You feel the same, don't you?

[She laughs.]

Yeah, I did. I don't think anything in the universe could be worse than what they threw at the unlucky ones who got stuck in there. When they threw anything at all. It sucked.

Ah? ... Kidou never did tell me what he went through, in there.

[She picks at her plate a little, thinking.]

I think it was different for everyone in there. I saw Kidou a few times, and he looked tired, but he didn't look like he was hurt. I'm glad for that.

...as for me, I think all that needs to be said is that I was in Jason's pod and he thinks surgery is a hobby.

... Surgery?

[He stands then, moving around the table to give her a good look over - sorry, but as soon as you're Genda's friend, you will be motherhen'd at some point!]

You're not hurt, are you? Or hiding anything?

[Feferi lets Genda circle, but she holds up her hands, shaking them and her head.]

I - I got really hurt at the time. Jason...turned into a monster. Then a strange plush toy version of that monster.

But unless they hid some kind of chip or device or weird thing inside me when they changed me back to normal before bringing me back, I'm fine. I'm not hiding anything unless they stuck anything in me I don't know about, I promise.

...and I really hope they didn't.

We should probably check, then - it wouldn't be good to just leave something like that if there is something.

It wouldn't be hard to find, right? There'd be stitches or something...

[D-don't say something like that, Fef; you're going to make him worry more!
... Which is probably rather obvious, how worried he is.]

[And she turns a little pink.]

Checking my arms and legs, around my neck - that'll be okay. But I think I'll get my roommate to check over the rest of me tonight before I go to bed.

[Nervous laughter.]

... Oh - right. [He didn't even think of that - her safety came first in his mind...]

S-sorry, I didn't even realize... [His face has gone pretty red; acting like that towards a girl...]

I - er - it's okay. I'll just have her take a look tonight and - er - yeah.

[And her cheeks are just going to go bright pink.]

[And his hands are up to wave nervously, his face going just a tad more red at that.]

No, it's alright - forgive me, I'm the one who even... Suggested something like that.

[Aaand then he bows in apology.]

I'll... forget this conversation happened, for the most part. ... Sorry.

N-no, I - I shouldn't have even said anything at all about anything like that. It's all -

[She continues to get flustered, finally finding a glass of water and taking a long sip.]

Let's both forget that happened.

... Yeah, that's... probably for the best.

[He'll just. Sit back down in his spot, then.]

... Maybe we should go do something to take our minds off the past.
You said you wanted to learn how to play soccer, right?

That's a really good idea.

[She lights up at the idea of learning to play.]

I would love to! It seems like so much fun. We didn't really have sports like that back where I'm from, so I think it would really be a lot of fun to learn!

Then I can teach you!

I'm not very good at positions other than goalkeeper, but it's not like you need to learn from a professional, right?

The important thing is having fun, right? So it doesn't matter who I learn from, so long as everyone's having fun.

So what are the different positions like?

[She fishes around in her bag and comes up with a pen and paper, passing them over.]

[He takes it, thinking a bit, before drawing a few bubbles on the page and labeling them - as well as drawing a field and goal around them.]

Well - there's the forward. They're the one a lot of people pay attention to during a game, since they shoot for a goal. They need a lot of power, so they can jump and kick and stuff like that a lot. My best friend, Sakuma, is a forward.

The midfielders are next - they do most of the running, trying to get the ball to the forward so they can shoot. Two of my friends here - Kidou and Aphrodi - are midfielders.

Defenders are after that. They stick close to the goal, using their skills and abilities to block players so they can't make a point. It kind of seems like they don't do much, but they always have to be ready in case the opponent gets on their side of the field.

And the last one is the goalkeeper. It's what I do; they stay in the goal at all times, using power and speed to block any shots made. I like to think the position of goalkeeper is one of the most important, but that's probably just my ego talking, haha!

Feferi leaned over, her chin in her hands, listening to every word. She hummed a few times, nodding her head.

So the point is for your team to score as many shots as possibubble, while keeping the other team from scoring, right? In that case, I don't think it's your ego talking at all. Of course that's important! You're the last line of defense for your team, and I think that's reely important.

[She beams at him as she says that, nodding emphatically. There will be no arguing with her on this point.]

But everyguppy has an important part to play. The defenders, on your end, try to get the ball to the midfielders, who set things up...wait.

[Headtilt. Tangent time.]

You said Kidou? I think I talked to him on the network not long ago. Hair in a ponytail, with goggles? I feel bad for him. I can't someone had the nerve to steal his stuff while we were all stuck in that place.

Oh, fishsticks, I got off topic. Anemoneway, the midfielders set things up for the forwards, who make the big plays and score for your team. Everyone has an important role to play. I like that.

[... Oh - well, if she thinks his position is important, then who is he to argue? Especially since it's fluffed his ego a bit --]

Yes, Kidou - he was the captain of my team, before he transferred to a different school.

But yes - that's exactly it. Every role in the game is important, and everyone has to work together and do their part to win!
Is there a position you'd like to learn the most, Feferi?

Oh, wow! Small ocean, isn't it? It's got to be reely nice, having a frond like that here.

[She pauses for a beat, briefly thinking of the friends that she only just had time with in the tower - alternate timelines and different worlds or not, they meant a lot to her, and she missed them. But she wasn't going to let herself mope, she'd told herself. They wouldn't want that.]

Whale, I think if I'm going to learn from you, it needs to be the position you know best!

It is pretty nice - but meeting new friends is always great, too.

And if that's what you'd like! I'll teach you how to play Goalkeeper, and I'm ready for it whenever you are.

[Now he's wondering what kind of Hissatsu she'd make... hmm!]

[And just like that, anything resembling being upset is gone. She grins, bouncing on her heels a little.]

Okay! [He motions for her to follow then, giving her a grin.]

I can clean all this up later - but I have a soccer ball in my trunk, so let's go get started!

[She can borrow one of his uniforms, too!!]

[She beams right back, following along without a care in the world. It's really great to be able to let things go like this. Between the end of the world and that month she refuses to think about? Frankly, she's needed it.]

[He makes a stop at his room then, leading her in.]

... Do you have anything else to wear, Feferi? Playing in a skirt is...
Well, it's a kind of bad idea. Easier to get hurt, and it limits your movement.
