Summary: FOOD.

[After finding out the tower's been restocked, Genda's well past raided the fridge by now - he's cooked everything he knows how, prepared tons of homestyle meals, and now?
He's got it all spread out on a table and he is stuffing his face.
Genda's also made sure to avoid anything he deems inedible, too. Which means no poisonous foods, and definitely no vegetables, yuck.

You're free to the food too, of course! As it is, he's probably going to offer anyway.
... Not that he wouldn't be able to eat it all himself.]

[Maaaaybe a little bit of both but he doesn't want to say that so instead he gives a shrug as he stabs a meatball with a fork and holds it up. Before he eats though, he finally notices something and kind of yells in alarm.]

What's wrong with your face?!

W-what?

[That startles him a bit, and he touches his face experimentally - like he's expecting it to have scales or something from the tower.]

... What do you mean?

[Sakuma drops his fork back on the plate and leans forward a little.]

You have scratches all over it? What happened?

[And here he was, hoping that he didn't run into too much trouble while he remained in the tower.]

Ah, it's - it's nothing big, Sakuma...

A few monsters got out around the bedrooms, but really, nothing I couldn't handle!

[Though he ended up having to run from a few of them - Drill Smasher or not, he's still just a kid...]

Are you sure you're okay?

[He's trying very, very hard to not leap across the table to make sure for himself.]

I'm... pretty sure?

Does it really look that bad?

[He hasn't looked in a mirror lately, after all...]

A bit. I have the feeling you had a worse time here than I did being stuck in that other place.

Well... maybe.
I wouldn't know; no one's really told me what happened over there.

[He's picking up a spoon nearby to check his reflection, though --]

It really wasn't too bad, though. Just... Remember the forest?
It was like that, just often.

Yeah. The worst I went through was the floor disappearing randomly.

[He doesn't mention the horror at seeing the experiments done on the members of Jason's group or the fact that he never dares to watch when ever someone is eliminated or the last week when it felt like he was dead.]

It's good nothing worse happened though.

Yeah. I'm glad that you're mostly okay, too - it's a relief.
I'll admit I worried about you.

I know you can handle yourself, but still...

[Sakuma's his best friend! It was hard not to worry.]

[He turns back to his food.]

I was worried too.

About what?

[It doesn't really occur to Genda that Sakuma could have been worried about him...]

[He looks up and rolls his eye as if it's obvious.]

... Oh.

I guess I figured you had more important things to worry about.

[Don't give him that look - he just didn't think of that okay...]

Most of the time we were trapped in a pod with no where to go and nothing to do. There was a lot of time to worry.

Oh, I guess that makes sense.

... Either way, I'm pretty glad you're back. Not that it's any better here, I'm sure.

I'd rather be here anyway.

[Mostly because all of his friends are around and he's able to know that they're okay.]

This is good, by the way. I miss eating your cooking.

Well - I guess I should start cooking for you more, here.
It'd be something nice amongst everything else, right?

[And it'd help keep up morale!]

You shouldn't trouble yourself.

[Not that he doesn't want to eat more of Genda's cooking...]

Mm, it wouldn't be a trouble for me.
Besides, I'm sure it would be better than what the workers plan on cooking.

[He pauses.]

I can't promise anything if all they serve is those bars again, though.

[He makes a face.]

I really hope they don't do that again. Was it like that last month too?

No, there wasn't any food at all in the cafeteria last month.

Haruna and I caught fish from the Aquarium - it was a lucky break that they had edible ones like tuna there.

[And they roasted them because the stoves hardly worked... u_u]

Wait, really? That's terrible.

[Now he feels bad that he was at least fed when he was in the pods while his friends had to forage for food.]

It wasn't too bad; honestly, it was a lot better than that month of nothing but those bars for food.

At least we had real things to eat, and now we know what to do if we lack anything really edible, again.

[Really, Sakuma, you should know that your animal loving friend would be able to survive something like that just fine!]

I guess so. We should probably see what else in the tower is edible, though, just in case.

[Because he's not sure he can survive on just fish.]
