(Intro) I had to struggle to be gracious, now we can touch it, we can taste it
Characters: Thor, Loki and YOU.
Setting: Dorm 2-04, and can probably be heard the next floor down because Thor.
Format: Whichever you're more comfy with~
Summary: Thor and Loki have a rather loud wake up. You should come tell them to shut up.
Warnings: None that come to mind~
[ The first thirty seconds Thor is awake are spent in blessed, blessed silence, eyes merely peering around at the corners of the ceiling as sleep paralysis takes hold, keeping the heavily confused god in place to adjust to the new surroundings. Well. As much as getting used to the ceiling counts for adjusting. But the moment that wears away, Thor jolts up in the narrow dormitory bed, head whipping around and eyes narrowed warily. He stands, moving cautiously to explore the new room in his white, spandex jumpsuit that makes him look like someone taped a bunch of milk jugs together, when he halts – spotting something of exceeding importance. That something may not be too happy when he’s shaken awake a moment later.
Hands gripped around the collar of Loki’s jumpsuit as he lies in bed, Thor near on throttles him awake, a growl on his lips as he makes demands to his not entirely awake yet brother. ] Loki. The Tesseract – what have you done with it? What new meddling is this?!
[ It’s not the worst awakening he’s ever had, but it is far from the best. Lashes fluttering for a moment as he finds the large face of his brother impeding on his vision and an inability to move his limbs; it’s with that that panic comes. A cold shot down his spine because they have been able to chain him but never truly bind him. Of course when this passes and he feels his limbs sag slightly when the atrophy-- or whatever it was-- seeps from them. It’s in this moment he doesn’t even bother with answering verbally, no, he just wants that face out of his face. Fist curling at his side he finds there’s no chains to bind him and instead he just aims a swing at the Thunderer. Stay out of his bubble. ] I know not of what you speak but if you do not remove your scruffy visage from mine own I will be forced to actually hit you.
[ A beat passes before he actually has a change to take guage of the situation-- what in the Norns was he wearing? And this room? It is not like the gold of Asgard, that much he was sure of. ]
[ Thor being Thor manages to lean back enough to miss the swing, but Loki’s front isn’t yet released. Whether he’s ready or not, he’s being yanked up into a sitting position by the larger, more volatile man, one hand releasing the strange fabric of the whatever it is to present the room to him. ] Does this appear of Asgard to you, brother? I’ll ask you only once more – what have you done to the Tesseract to have it react such? I’m not so dim as to believe you did not have a hand in this.
[ No, no, he is just dim enough to believe Loki is responsible for all of it to begin with, but what other explanation has he? Only an instant before, they had been on their way to return him to Asgard for judgment and punishment, only hours after Loki saw to releasing havoc upon Midgard. He wouldn’t allow his brother’s silver tongue to convince him otherwise. ]
Are you so daft? [ He snaps in a tone that clearly implies that, yes, he believes Thor to be that daft. ] If I would have summoned us elsewhere it would not be like this-- nor would I put myself in a room with you. [ If anything he would be just as inclined to drop Thor into a cell and go about his way. He had plans and white, uncomfortable jumpsuits played no part in them. ] I have not had a hand in this, if I did do you think I would degrade myself in such a way? [ Really, try and think of a time you’ve seen Loki in anything that was form fitting and/or white, Thor. He’ll give you all the years you’ve got left because you won’t think of one. Not to mention baring his own despised slim form around the golden prince of Asgard. It just made him want to punch him again for the sake of his simply existing. ]
Do not be an idiot, I know that is asking much of you but take a moment and look around. [ It’s then he tries to twist away from his grip so he could earn himself some well needed space. ]
[ There’s a sour sort of look on Thor’s face as Loki goes on his minor rant about Thor misassumptions and as bent as he is on ignoring the liesmith’s protests, much of it rings true – the setting, the room, the fact he is still well within reach of Thor himself. Had Loki the power to teleport them elsewhere mid-jump to Asgard, it would not be to a place he was so disadvantaged. Or... bizarrely dress. There’s a pause as he squints at him, allowing the man to yank away for the moment before he speaks. ] ...Very well. [ He’d accept the answers don’t lie with Loki for the moment, but the wariness of foul play is not yet dissolved. The hand returns to yank at the back of Loki’s jumpsuit, dragging him into a stand position, so convicted in the want not to let the trickster out of his sight.
He’s dragged close to him one last time for a harsh whisper. ] You will find your bind. You will replace them. And you will cooperate. Should you make a single step out of what I command, I will remind you of the difference in strength the Tesseract has left between us. [ Gruffly, he’s released, and Thor goes to pace alongside the bed, frustration with the situation evident. This is so far beyond Not Good, Loki free and a device of untold potential for destruction missing, with them in a strange place and Mjolnir out of sight. So, so far beyond Not Good. A cautious glance down to his clothing... ] And we will... relieve ourselves of such restricting dress. [ Srsly, this is getting awkward ]
[[ooc; expect tags from both Thor and Loki - if you'd like just one or the other, feel free to state it in the header :3 ]]

He assumes the offer to turn around is for Loki, as Thor fairly obviously could careless as he pulls on the undershirt of his uniform, though the offer to introduce all of them intrigues him, and Thor gives a smirk and a slight chuckle. "Very well, if you would like to try your hand at it."

"If you are so assured and eager then I see no reason why not," He would not show amusement in this instance, even if he felt it, instead focusing on double checking his remaining items.

Luke could take the opportunity to keep the information to himself, to use for some future purpose, but he's never been able to resist showing off.
"Let's start with Asgard, the land you're apparently from. That ought to make the pair of you Aesir, or you, at the very least. And you've just placed what is obviously an important, somewhat ornate hammer on top of your trunk, and while it's not exactly a war hammer, I think, in connection with Asgard, it would be fair to assume that it's Mjölnir. Then, unless we're having a repetition of Thrymr, or Brynhildr, that would make you Thor." He smiles faintly. Not the Thor he knows, clearly, though not all that different, especially to when he was younger.
"From there it's easy. You're incredibly loud, you know." He nods at Thor, and then nods at...well, his other self, he supposes. "You're Loki. And I'm Luke. It will make things easier."

Because sleeping with one eye open would not be fun. Continuing to pull on pants and armor pieces, he listens to the boy's explanation with a sort of chuckle coming out of it. Okay, so, yes, Thor spoke fairly loudly and most of Midgardians recognize the names Loki or Thor, but there's more in what he says than mere recognition of old myths, which has Thor peering up at him with arms crosses over his chest once the last of his vambraces are secured.
"You know much of our world. Have you studied the ancient legends of Midgard?" He inquires, hands adjusting armor into comfy spots here and there.

He doubts, on that same token, that Thor will be able to keep his word and shadow Loki even if he cares to. The mischief monger will do as he wants and Thor will have to deal with it. That aside his focus would be finding a way out of the tower, diplomatic or otherwise.

"Monsters constantly frequent particular floors, I've heard, but the time I've been here is a peculiar case. They don't come into these rooms, and they generally only come out at night, apparently. I prefer it this way. Especially with the power and food back in the building. Anyway, you shouldn't have to worry about a nightly sentry, so I imagine that's something."
He eyes Loki sidelong. Interesting. His magic definitely works differently. He'll have to see what he can work out later.
"I haven't had much time," he says in response to Thor's last question. "Or the inclination, really. It didn't seem worth the effort. And I only had two years, after all, so it looks like I was right." He's smirking a bit, now. This is fun. He wonders how many clues he'll provide.

"And have none attempted to exterminate these monsters?" Seriously, someone should get on that. Thor himself might later. It's been a while since he's had a decent hunt.
The second part is curious and he raises a brow at the boy, questioning. "Two years? Why only two year? The legends have been around for eons in Midgard's time."
no subject
He doesn't seem surprised at all, but considering his faith in others it should come as no surprise.
"Not human, nor Aesir, curious enough."

"I was aware of some of them, back when they were being invented," Luke admits, in response to Thor's last question. "They kept getting it wrong. And honestly, some of them were really nasty. I expect they were especially rude about the entire Baldur incident and I'm not sure I want to know what they thought. Or what they were told to think."
He wonders if these two are there yet. Or if they'll ever be there. Maybe he ought to warn Loki about the potential issues with that particular joke himself, just in case. That was a shitty series of centuries.
"Well, I don't know," he says to Loki, walking back away from Thor's hammer. He shrugs and smiles brightly. "What would you say you are?"
no subject
Loki's declaration of not human nor Aesir catches him and Thor watches Luke more closely, arms crossed over his shoulders as he listens intently to the small speech of things he understands none of. "Some of what? What was gotten wrong?"
He squints at him for a moment, moving to sit at the edge of one of the bed. "If you are neither, what manner of creature does that leave you to be?"
no subject
"I care to play this game no longer," His shoulders straightened and his gaze closed off. He did not like the unsaid implications of words that rested among them. "Is that indeed what you meant?"
no subject
What a strange reaction from Loki, though. Had something bad just happened? Well, obviously, Thor was taking away weapons from him, but he wasn't sure if he'd ever been upset to be identified. Different universes were strange.
He sighs. No more game.
"Sort of," he says. "Not entirely. I implied I wasn't human but I never said I wasn't Aesir. You assumed that all on your own. You know of parallel universes, right? I was always aware of them in theory. I thought they might be fun, or that I might do better in one of them. I thought that for a while, actually, especially when it came to Ragnarok."
He reels himself back in. No matter if these are versions of himself and a best friend, he does't know them at all, not really.
"So yes, I'm Jotun. And Aesir. And me."
