☆ Brief Moment of Rest
Characters: Anguished One and open!
Setting: Floor 29
Format: I'll match you guys~
Summary: Alcor gets his regain, ponders his room's disappearances, and begins to regain peace of mind.
Warnings: Saiduq being calm, aaaaahhhhh!!! Run for your livesssssssss!!!!!!!!!
When he returned from the event, Alcor had mostly been focused on a very important fact- Nyarlathotep was nowhere to be seen. He searched high and low, skimmed and scanned the entire tower over several times, and could not find a trace of the Crawling Chaos. Well, outside of the usual. And that which he wasn't sure he could attribute to Nyarly.
He was suspicious, but allowed himself to take the moment as a reprieve nonetheless. There were those he wanted direly to catch up with, and yet he found himself needing time to himself. Alcor had received a 'gift' after the closing of the infighting, and waited until he arrived on floor 29 to even consider opening it. He floated up to settle atop one of the hedges, settling in comfortably before unwrapping the small, unfamiliar box. He was curious, truth be told, since he had no possessions to speak of.
Well, that apparently was not so anymore- within the jewelry box was a silver necklace. At first, Saiduq looked at it sourly, and considered closing it up and storing it away. But, this was the first thing he'd ever willingly considered wearing, a thought he idly toyed with as he fidgeted with the charm. Eventually, Alcor he pulled it out, and set it about his neck. The box was set behind him, and he once again reclined back on the top of the hedge.
He felt...better, somehow. And from such a simple token. Maybe the past month's travails had been worth it.

He didn't like the quiet sadness he felt at the 'died' part, of course, but Alcor had always operated with death being a strange concept, something that could be dodged through the record if it wasn't truly fated. It had never made him distressed like the tower did. Maybe he was learning the depths of a mortal's struggle more acutely than he would have otherwise. "Regardless of where we come from, we are here now. And I am glad you're here."

He let the silence become companionable for a bit, eventually drawing his hand up to let Taro chill on his shoulder. Frankly, it'd probably be more comfy.
"Might I ask a favor of you?"
