Ammy padded through the giant room, peering quizzically at the fish inside the tanks of water. Well, 'tanks', anyway, since they didn't seem to be held in by glass of any kind. What was making the water keep its shape, anyway? She approached a large enclosure, one filled with brightly-colored angelfish, corals, and anemones, then stuck her snout up against the wall of water -- only to end up shoving her head into the water, with no resistance at all.

She snapped at a passing fish; it reacted as any other would, swimming frantically away from her jaws in a panic and burrowing itself in between the corals to hide. Puzzled, she drew her head back out out and shook the water vigorously from her fur, sending droplets flying in a wide arc.

Weeeird.

Once Xue had enough fish, she began hauling them back until she popped out of the water square and shook a bit of the excess water out of her hair and smiled mischievously at Ammy, whoops!

"Heh, sorry, think I might have gotten ya a bit wet der. But no worries! We be gettin' well fed tonight mon."

Xue moved over to her belongings and took out some string to string the fish together for easy carrying.

"Ready ta set out?"

Ammy shook herself vigorously, sending a few droplets of water flying. She barked in reply, then settled into following at Xue's side, ready to leave. Was Xue's place around here? Or were they going to the cafeteria? Whichever it was, she was ready!

She'd be surprised when they ended up in the floor that housed the forest. Xue decided to stay close to the stairs, not wanting the more unpleasant denizens to catch a whiff of their food and began setting up a firepit so they could make these delicious looking fish into delicious tasting meals!

A fire, huh? Well, that Ammy could help with. As Xue put the finishing touches on the firepit, a flame winked into existence in the midst of the kindling; it would rapidly become a warm and cheery cooking fire.

It was the least she could do, since Xue was treating them!

Xue blinked a few times and looked around before looking back at Ammy.

"Huh, dunno were dat came from, but it sure is convenient!"

It certainly sped up the process of cooking the food.

She went ahead to start cleaning the fish in a nearby pool of water, gutting them and such. She looked over and smiled, "Joo a organ pup? Or ya ain't into them?" she asked before she set the parts aside. Her worg ate everything, they were not picky at all.

Ammy put on her best innocent face, then padded over to watch Xue clean the fish. She sniffed at the offal, but seemed largely disinterested. After all, she was used to nabbing sushi off dinner trays -- she'd eat the organs if she had to, but why bother when there was someone to pick them out for her?

She seemed more interested in Xue's skill in cleaning and gutting the fish. No hands, no way to handle a knife.

Xue smirked and nodded, getting back to work.

It didn't take long for the skilled woman of the seas to get all the fish neatly cleaned without losing any of the delicious content. After a moment, she cut a piece from one and gave it a taste, smiling after she was done with it.

"Dey are definitely of a fine line. Dees will make for a great meal." And with that, she started back towards the firepit.

Ammy laid herself down near the fire, basking in the cheerful, crackling warmth of the firelight. She rested her head on her front paws as she watched Xue at work and then closed her eyes briefly. Yeah. Just for a moment...

Soon she was having a little trouble keeping her eyes open with the combination of being toasty warm and the smell of delicious cooking fish wafting up into the air. But she was going to stay awake! Probably.

Xue smiled, endeared at how familiar this scene was. Well, at least with one keeping her company instead of her small pack of worgs.

She continued her task silently, letting Ammy rest until the food was well and done. Once she was finished, she gently shook Ammy.

"Food's done, 'ope ya got an appetite mon cause der be lots of food to go 'round."
