Setting: Dorms, in and around room 1-06 (or anywhere else in the Tower, really). Backdated to yesterday.

Summary: Sora awakens after a month-long nap.
Warnings: None!
Notes: If Vanitas stole your character's stuff and left it with Sora - Gamzee and Taiki are the two that I can think of off the top of my head - feel free to come retrieve it in this log! Sora will gladly give it back.

Dorms - Locked to Xion

[It was with a loud yawn and a stretch that Sora, for the first time in over a month, opened his eyes. He didn't realize how long it had been, though - he came up here to take a short nap, so surely it was only a few hours. Right? Still, he felt a little drowsy, like he had overslept or something.

He'd had a lot of dreams, too, he remembered. That was pretty weird.

Sora sat up, planted his feet on the floor, and was started by a loud HONK that woke him right up.

...why were there horns on the bottom of his shoes?

And why did his face feel like it was covered in paint?]

Oh great.

[Welp. Time for a walk of shame to the bathroom to figure out just how bad this was. He takes off his shoe, for now - he can worry about that later.]

Anywhere Else - Open!

[Well, after finding out that he's been napping for just a little more than a few hours, Sora's eager to...well, for starters, to get something to eat. But mostly, he's eager to catch up with people!

So mission: talk to everyone is a go.]

[Sora finally does wander back into the hall a little while after talking to Xion. His face is finally clean, and now that he's awake...honestly, he's feeling pretty good! A little slow, still, but maybe the month-long nap wasn't a totally bad thing.

Still, he couldn't help but wonder how the heck it had happened in the first place. People don't just fall asleep and wake up a month later - something must have made him sleep that long, but...what?

Well, it's on that thought that he spots Riku, who doesn't look NEARLY as well-rested. Sora doesn't run to catch up with him, though - he just stops to wait, since Riku's already running his way.]

Hey, Riku! Guess it's...been a little while, huh?

[It's still weird for Sora to think about that, though - it really doesn't feel like all that long since he last talked to his friend.]

More like a month.

[Once he reaches Sora, Riku places his hands on his hips and gives him a pointed look. Man, does Sora have any idea how worried he was? ...How worried everyone else probably was?

...well, maybe, maybe not. He was missing for a while.

Sigh.]

What happened to you?

Well...

[He sees that look, and...can't really object to it, tempting as it is to do so. He WAS gone for a month, after all. In a place like this...

All of his friends were probably really worried. Sora didn't like that idea one bit.

Still, at least this will be pretty easy to explain! Y'know, since he...doesn't actually know what happened.]

To tell you the truth, I don't have a clue. I just went to my room to take a nap, but Xion told me that it's been a whole month since then.

You just took a nap?

[Okay, that doesn't make sense. Who the heck sleeps for an entire month? Do pardon the wide-eyed stare. Riku's really trying to wrap his head around this.]

But you're fine now, right?

[Much as this news unsettles him, if Sora was feeling fine, maybe that was all that mattered. At least for now.]

I think so. Well...I'm a little drowsy, but mostly I feel normal. It's weird, though, isn't it?

[The whole experience isn't really sitting well with Sora, either. Strange happenings in this place almost never lead to anything good, and not knowing leaves him feeling more than a bit uncomfortable.

But...from what he's seen so far, it seems like it was just him who had been asleep. And the only weird thing he remembered happening while he slept was dreaming, and that wasn't weird at all.

Sleeping for a whole month doesn't just happen, though, does it?]

Weird's kind of an understatement, Sora.

[Really, it's a little disturbing, not that he really blames Sora. The fact that it happened at all is what bothers him. It just... doesn't feel right. Unless he got nailed with some killer Sleep spell, it just seems so unlikely.

Then again, this Tower does have its share of tricks.]

Man, I wish I could figure out what happened, though. This is gonna bug me.

[Again, an understatement.

Normally, at a time like this, Sora would ask Riku if he had any ideas about what could have happened. But right now, his friend seems just as clueless as he is about all of it. Still, maybe it's better not to make a big deal out of it for now. There was way too much to worry about around here as it was.]

What about you, Riku? I've heard that things have been kind of a mess around here while I've been asleep. Have you been okay?

Well, I haven't been taking any naps, if that's what you mean.

[He shrugs, leaning back against a wall.]

Just been trying to get by. To tell you the truth, I've... kinda been a bit of a hermit.

Yeah? That doesn't sound like any fun.

[Geez, Riku. This is why he can't leave you on your own! Being a hermit is bad for you, okay?]

Maybe we should go find something to do.
