Setting: Dorms, in and around room 1-06 (or anywhere else in the Tower, really). Backdated to yesterday.

Summary: Sora awakens after a month-long nap.
Warnings: None!
Notes: If Vanitas stole your character's stuff and left it with Sora - Gamzee and Taiki are the two that I can think of off the top of my head - feel free to come retrieve it in this log! Sora will gladly give it back.



Dorms - Locked to Xion

[It was with a loud yawn and a stretch that Sora, for the first time in over a month, opened his eyes. He didn't realize how long it had been, though - he came up here to take a short nap, so surely it was only a few hours. Right? Still, he felt a little drowsy, like he had overslept or something.

He'd had a lot of dreams, too, he remembered. That was pretty weird.

Sora sat up, planted his feet on the floor, and was started by a loud HONK that woke him right up.

...why were there horns on the bottom of his shoes?

And why did his face feel like it was covered in paint?]

Oh great.

[Welp. Time for a walk of shame to the bathroom to figure out just how bad this was. He takes off his shoe, for now - he can worry about that later.]

Anywhere Else - Open!

[Well, after finding out that he's been napping for just a little more than a few hours, Sora's eager to...well, for starters, to get something to eat. But mostly, he's eager to catch up with people!

So mission: talk to everyone is a go.]

[Cross turns his head towards the stranger that has just popped up. He is looking quite eloquent with a piece of bread sticking out of his mouth.]

Yeamgh Goth ajkhead.

[Oh, he's talking with his mouth full. Swallowing the whole piece, he grins towards Sora.]

Yeah, go ahead. It's nice to meet you, the name's Cross.

[derping]

[Thankfully, Sora speaks "talking with your mouth full" fluently, so there's no risk of miscommunication there. Besides, with how hungry he is right now, he can't exactly blame Cross for wanting to stuff his face.]

I'm Sora! [He grins back, taking a seat and starting in on his own meal.] You new to the Tower? I haven't seen you around here before.

[Then again, he has been napping for a month.]

[It is the only way to communicate. What are you talking about?]

Well it's good to meet you Sora.

[Still putting more food into his mouth.]

But, mm, I'm new. Got here maybe a little over a month ago. But, the power was out all over the place and this cafeteria didn't have any food here.

[derping]

[So just a little bit before he went to sleep, probably, huh?

When the next piece of information Cross gave him sinks in completely, Sora stops eating for a minute, giving the other boy a very confused look.]

...wait, really?

[That sounds kind of serious. What exactly did he nap through, anyway?]

I've been kind of...er, out of it...for the last month or so. What happened?

[hero_of_smiles]

Out of it? Were you okay?

[Cross puts a hand to his chin thinking about the question Sora just asked him.]

Well, the power was out, that's a big one. There were just some flashing red lights on. Monsters were pretty much anywhere in the tower. Oh and, there was no service in the cafeteria so we had to get our own food. But, other than that, nothing really special.

[derping]

Oh, yeah! I was just...asleep.

[For a month. Because that's a normal thing.]

Sounds pretty bad to me. [Monsters everywhere? Now he's glad one didn't get into the room while he was out cold. THAT wouldn't have been a fun wake-up call.] It wasn't another experiment or something, was it?

[He really hopes not. There have been too many of those lately...well, any was too many, but...he hates the thought of everyone having to go through another, when he couldn't even do anything to help.]

Well, as long as nothing bad happened than I'm glad it was just a month long sleep...Wonder how they did that?

[It's kind of curious. But Sora's the one asking questions here.]

Mm, it could be I guess. But I think everyone left here was relatively okay. Kinda had to admit it was a bit of a shock finding monsters here, but I took care of them along with another person.

But an experiment? Uhhhhhhh, no? I don't think? If it was there would be like guys in lab coats and stuff who run the place wandering around right? No one like that was in the tower at the time but the people who were here.

Well, that's...not exactly what the experiments are. It's... [How does he explain this?] Usually, a bunch of us are taken to somewhere in the tower that no one else can get to, and they try to force us to do something that's almost always awful. It's different every time, and we don't really know when to expect it.

[It's not the most precise explanation in the world, but Sora doesn't really want to get much more detailed than that. He doesn't want to have to think about it.]

I'm glad you were okay, at least. The monsters around here can be pretty tough to deal with!

[Yikes, Cross just frowns a bit as Sora explains that the experiments are worse than just sleeping. He doesn't really know what to say to that, but he'll just place a hand on the younger(?) boy's head and ruffle his hair. It's supposed to be a comforting gesture.]

Well, I'm sure that if something does happen next time we can try and take them down before anything bad happens.

[Cross does grin though.]

Yeah, they kind of are. But at least I only ran into zombies so far.

Hey!

[Sora's protest to the hair ruffle is weakened by a bit of laughter, though; he's okay with it, really. But gosh, what is it about his hair that makes EVERYONE want to mess with it?]

Well, it's worth a shot!

[They've never had much luck stopping them before - Sora's had more than one bad experience with trying - but he's not one to easily give up on the idea, either. He nods at the comment about the monsters, though, able to shift topics fairly easily.]

Just keep an eye out when you're wandering around. It's really easy to get hurt if you aren't being careful.

[It's because there's a creature living inside of it that has a hypnotic affect. It must be ruffled.]

Exactly, can't give up just yet.
