Summary: Not content with just doing nothing in her room, Midna explores the immediate vicinity. Shadow form also available.

[This is all wrong.]

[Just when all the pieces were coming together. Literally. The Mirror of Twilight was right there. Her only way home, but instead of the familiar beauty of the Twilight, she wakes to white. Sterile. Unable to move. With nothing else to go by than the words on those letters.]

[The Twili was upset.]

[Her chance at Zant was ripped away from her yet again. Mere destruction wasn't close to what he deserved. And it wasn't what the Twilight Realm deserved.]

[I saved you. Let's be happy here.]

[What a joke. What was the point in saving her if she couldn't save her own home?]

[Merely doing nothing won't satisfy Midna. Removing the suit and donning the Fuse Shadow fragment, she journeyed off into the halls. So long as they don't initially see her, Midna takes up her shadow form in the presence of any wandering passerby.]

[Okay, tower. It's night, according to his watch. Assuming his watch even means something here. Whatever.

Monsters should be jumping out now, at any time. In a whole new environment, you better believe training is priority number one.]

[Hearing a noise, Midna quickly shifts over to shadow, blending in to the corner. Oh what's this?]

[A human?]

[A young one, but human nonetheless. Finally some sign of life that doesn't give her a bad feeling. Seems like he was heading somewhere too. Disrupting a man on a mission would just be rude, but the Twili was curious.]

[So the answer was clear. Silently following him, Midna quickly slides into his shadow.]

[Oh. It's night alright.]

[As evidenced by the roaming pack of 5-6 Miniblins that Midna managed to run across that were now chasing the Twili. Despite the creatures looking weak and just...dumb, combat wasn't really her strength.]

[Hearing footsteps closing in around the corner, Midna thought to let someone else handle these rats instead. Rounding the corner, Midna caught a glimpse of the teen right before phasing to shadow and jumping in right into Akihiko's.]

[As soon as she steps into his shadow, he stops and looks a little tense, turning a bit to see behind him. While Tatsuya doesn't see anyone or realize that anyone's there, he felt a little odd for just a second, like there was this weight somewhere on him, but it's not...there anymore.]

...Huh. [Oh well. Must have been just his imagination. He continues around the dorms, seemingly not having a real destination in mind.]

[Akihiko didn't feel anything, but Caesar did. He stirs, but it happens at the same time the Miniblins come around.

[And Caesar's magic power isn't strong enough to take them all down in one go. He gets lucky, and with the magic blast and a couple of punches has it down to three.]

[Midna figured the boy would be far too distracted to even notice the shift. Too bad he just chose to ignore his feeling.]

[Though the impressed notion faded fast as she noticed a few remained.]

What? That's it? [Her voice carries, sounding as though it's from all directions at once. Motivation is the key to victory.]

Unfortunately, ignoring that weird feeling doesn't last, because he's moved from the initial "hmm that felt weird" to the odd feeling that someone's following him.

He suddenly stops, listening for any potential footsteps. Obviously, there aren't any, but he can't shake this feeling...is it a trick of the tower, or something else?

As an experiment, he starts to sprint and keeps up the pace for a minute, then stops. No sound behind him, but...but he can't shake that odd feeling... He looks behind him but doesn't fully turn around, expecting someone to actually be there, but he doesn't say anything yet.]

[Of course, she doesn't know all the tricks the tower plays on its inhabitants. So this is likely more cruel than even she realizes.]

[Today is the day for teenagers walking in corridors. Or more likely, Naoki heading off downward to the cafeteria level.

He doesn't notice Midna, but she can probably notice the fact he is 1)shirtless 2)has a bunch of weird glowing tattoos on him--hey if you squint they could almost be like half-assed twili ones.

...Oh and 3) There's this weird fin protruding from his neck.]

He took a few more steps before abruptly turning around. Had Midna already sunk into his shadow?]

[Turning to the call of her name, Midna's eye(s) widened a little at the sight of Link. H-he's alive. Standing right in front of her.]

[Getting a rise out of someone was one thing, making them angry was another. She didn't worry if she made enemies, but making them in a confined space like this wasn't a good plan.]

[Considering all that had happened before in his own world, his paranoia was always on 24/7.

Now something felt really off. He looked around for a few more seconds...before shrugging it off for now and going right back to walking down the steps. Only a few more levels until the kitchen.

The larva start to scramble all around but it doesn't seem to phase Naoki at all. In fact he's starting to eat it.
