[open]

Characters: Midna ([personal profile] humsalament) and you
Setting: Dormitory floors
Format: Action preferred, but open to whichever.
Summary: Not content with just doing nothing in her room, Midna explores the immediate vicinity. Shadow form also available.
Warnings: None yet

[Destroyed?]

[No. No.]

[This is all wrong.]

[Just when all the pieces were coming together. Literally. The Mirror of Twilight was right there. Her only way home, but instead of the familiar beauty of the Twilight, she wakes to white. Sterile. Unable to move. With nothing else to go by than the words on those letters.]

[The Twili was upset.]

[Her chance at Zant was ripped away from her yet again. Mere destruction wasn't close to what he deserved. And it wasn't what the Twilight Realm deserved.]

[I saved you. Let's be happy here.]

[What a joke. What was the point in saving her if she couldn't save her own home?]

[Merely doing nothing won't satisfy Midna. Removing the suit and donning the Fuse Shadow fragment, she journeyed off into the halls. So long as they don't initially see her, Midna takes up her shadow form in the presence of any wandering passerby.]

[The Triforce of Wisdom. A spirit brimming with Light. A regal bearing despite adversity. Everything about the woman passing Midna's current hiding place might strike her as terribly familiar.

And yet, everything about her is just a little different. Perhaps she's a bit younger, perhaps she carries herself a little differently, but one thing is rather clear: this is not the Princess of Light you know, Midna.

Approach her?]

[And she blinks in response, caught off guard by the out-of-the-blue directness of the question. Others might not be receptive to such a greeting, but there's something odd about this imp-like being that she just can't put a name to - something that urges her to be upfront and honest.]

I am Zelda, Princess of Hyrule. [She tilts her head.] Can I help you?
sageprincess: (Discerning intentions)

Why do you say that?

[And that bluntness is only getting more questioning looks in response. Explain, please?]
sageprincess: (Plaguing uncertainty)

[The princess is gone. No... no, that isn't right; she didn't abandon her people-- but she can't say how she stayed in Hyrule, either.

A flash of pain enters Zelda's eyes.]

... I know I was, and there was not a moment when I did not wish I could have returned sooner, but the Evil King's influence made it impossible.

I do not know who you are, nor do I know where in Hyrule you hail from, but... I am sorry.

Yes, the very same.

[And Zelda is growing ever more confused as well. She has certainly never seen anything like the imp-like creature before her, but Hyrule is a vast country, with many mysterious hideaways. But...]

You are not? How do you know of the Royal Family and Ganondorf, then?
sageprincess: (Standing before)

Is that so.

[Yeaaah, she doesn't believe that for a second, and it's evident in her tone. But she won't pry, not yet.]

All the same, I am who I say I am - nothing more, nothing less.
