Fellowship of Animus | First Council of Sages

Setting: Floor 38, early afternoon - forward-dated to July 29
Format: Party style - pick your poison
Summary: After repeated delays, Zelda and Gandalf have finally called the populace of the Tower to discuss productive means of dealing with their situation.

It's taken far too long to get to this point.

Come Sunday, the various couches and armchairs of the uppermost lounge have been arranged in vaguely semi-circle-like patterns, with chairs from other floors scattered amongst them to increase seating even more. The semi-circles face inwards towards a central point to facilitate discussion among a large group of people. Though this is by no means a party, small slices of Lembas bread are available on tables around the perimeter - though there is no shortage of food, the hungry tend to be less cooperative, all the same.

Outside, the sun shines brightly without a cloud to obstruct it, but the atmosphere inside is much less carefree. Considering the purpose of gathering here this day, it's to be expected. Should this council succeed, it may very well change life in the Tower as everyone knows it. If not, well... one should certainly hope individual efforts begin to bear more fruit than they have in the past.

A legendary team-up between all of us! And...maybe...that part where everyone throw up their weapons and says "YOU HAVE MY SWORD" and "YOU HAVE MY AXE" and I could have gone "YOU HAVE MY GUITAR CASE" but it was just everyone arguing.

Then Gandalf thinks that all the monsters in the tower are actually people from our worlds that didn't get carried over correctly...which freaks me out a little. Then some idiot suggested we team up with the bad guys in the tower. Yeah cause I'm sure the Crawl Asshole's gonna love having an alliance and of course he'd never backstab us!

[Can you feel the rage, he is still very bitter over that and the Maya being stabbed part especially.]

I wonder how many people know about him...that'd probably be the kind of thing he wants. [Keep a low profile, be all cooperative, then gain control of everything.

...does make you think that he's got a collar like us...and what they can do to trap him like that in the first place.

Arguing.

More arguing than Lisa and me together combined. Guess that's what happens when you put too many people in one room.

...Should we tell them about...him, next time? The less people have been talking about him, the less he's been showing up.

Dunno. Either he's planning something or maybe he's really gone. Could be dangerous if too many people find out...

...I doubt he's actually gone. We should stay on the look out for him, just to be safe. And...yeah, the less he's mentioned, the better.
