Fellowship of Animus | First Council of Sages
Characters: THE FELLOWSHIP OF ANIMUS aka pretty much everyone
Setting: Floor 38, early afternoon - forward-dated to July 29
Format: Party style - pick your poison
Summary: After repeated delays, Zelda and Gandalf have finally called the populace of the Tower to discuss productive means of dealing with their situation.
Warnings: None yet, will edit should something come up
It's taken far too long to get to this point.
Come Sunday, the various couches and armchairs of the uppermost lounge have been arranged in vaguely semi-circle-like patterns, with chairs from other floors scattered amongst them to increase seating even more. The semi-circles face inwards towards a central point to facilitate discussion among a large group of people. Though this is by no means a party, small slices of Lembas bread are available on tables around the perimeter - though there is no shortage of food, the hungry tend to be less cooperative, all the same.
Outside, the sun shines brightly without a cloud to obstruct it, but the atmosphere inside is much less carefree. Considering the purpose of gathering here this day, it's to be expected. Should this council succeed, it may very well change life in the Tower as everyone knows it. If not, well... one should certainly hope individual efforts begin to bear more fruit than they have in the past.

Eventually she finds herself standing before the boy who had sacrificed so much for her sake, and she can do nothing but drop to her knees and hold him.]
I am sorry, I just... I do not want to lose anyone anymore. Not to him, not to the tower, not to anything.
[Please, don't leave her now.]

from the friendship,Fado followed Zelda and stood before them, blocking the path to the door (albeit with his small stature) with his arms and violin folded behind his back.]You were not wrong to say such things; in fact there was truth to your words. Truth to everyone's words. [After all, Ganondorf had not entirely betrayed the last break in mission....]
...But even a Hero cannot always handle it alone. And he doesn't have to.

It isn't self-pity. He just feels... so helpless. He doesn't have the answers. He doesn't even know where to start looking. He has searched the tower high and low, he has made it into the control room, and still... nothing. He hasn't moved forward or backward. He had thought that maybe the Triforce would be the answer. He had thought that if they had just worked together...
Even setting aside any illogical emotional reactions, it was proven, by many people with different points, that that wouldn't work, either. There is no movement. He's trapped. And that's what makes his heart pound in his chest hardest of all.]
I'm tired, [he finds himself saying. His voice is so small. He swallows, and makes an effort to speak louder.] I'm just... so tired.

As much as he had heard of terrible things going down in this tower, it hadn't shaken him just yet, but seeing Link here, like this - worn down, broken...
That put fear in his heart.]
oh I guess it's my tag now isn't it
[Zelda responds, her confession as quiet as Link's. Slowly, she draws back to look into his eyes, to see the exhaustion and feelings of powerlessness that she too shares. In another world, she could guide him, tell him where to go and what to do to complete his quest... but she can't anymore.
And she's just... so afraid of losing him, and not being able to do anything to stop it.]
I am... very tired as well. But... we do not need to be tired alone.
[It's hard to make herself think that way, admittedly. But so many here have said as much, there must be some truth to it.]

Still, with the other two Sages' silence, he felt he had to bring something to say.]
...It's true; such solitude for either of you would do no one any service. [And here his smile brightened just a tad.] And is it not a Sage's duty to lend their energy to those in need?
