Summary: After repeated delays, Zelda and Gandalf have finally called the populace of the Tower to discuss productive means of dealing with their situation.

It's taken far too long to get to this point.

Come Sunday, the various couches and armchairs of the uppermost lounge have been arranged in vaguely semi-circle-like patterns, with chairs from other floors scattered amongst them to increase seating even more. The semi-circles face inwards towards a central point to facilitate discussion among a large group of people. Though this is by no means a party, small slices of Lembas bread are available on tables around the perimeter - though there is no shortage of food, the hungry tend to be less cooperative, all the same.

Outside, the sun shines brightly without a cloud to obstruct it, but the atmosphere inside is much less carefree. Considering the purpose of gathering here this day, it's to be expected. Should this council succeed, it may very well change life in the Tower as everyone knows it. If not, well... one should certainly hope individual efforts begin to bear more fruit than they have in the past.

Hm? [She turns away from the window, focusing her violet gaze on the newcomer.] I am not unfocused. I am merely waiting for the others to arrive.

Relax, I was just messin' with ya. [Yusuke chuckles.] Gotta do something to try and kill time, right?

Yes, exactly. [She sighs, glancing out the window again.] It's not much of a view, though, so it's not helping pass the time as much as I hoped it would.

[The lack of jokers here was troubling, but hey, Yusuke could adapt. The facility was sort of the same anyway, and this meeting was serious. He could be too, otherwise he wouldn't be here. Still, Yusuke was Yusuke until the end.]

Meh, time never flies fast just staring out there. Ya get the same results with a wall, or in a classroom with the ultimate in boring lectures.

Heh, I suppose you're right... [Hey, it's not her fault that humor in the 15th century is different from recent times. u_u]

Still, trying to focus on something is better than doing nothing at all. This restlessness... I hate it.

Better to socialize then, get to know the other guys around this place! Like me!

[He smirks, extending his hand.] Yusuke Urameshi, resident clone guy and asskicker of the monsters of this joint! And yours?

[She takes the offered hand, shaking it.] A clone? Interesting... I've never met a clone before.

[She's heard about it, listening to the youth of the modern times go on about their various entertainment mediums. But it wasn't exactly something that people could comprehend in her time.]

A pleasure, Yusuke. My name is Ruler.

Ruler? Kinda weird name, but whatever. [Reminded him of the name Lancer, but no need to mention that. He barely knew the guy anyway.]

Nice looking armor by the way. Don't suppose ya got some fight in ya, do ya?

[Ah, if you only knew, Yusuke...]

I do, as a matter of fact. I do not have as much experience as most soldiers, but I know how to defend myself in battle.

Really? [Pretty women were one thing, but hey, people who can fight? Major bonus points.] What kinda stuff can ya pull off? Or who or what are you used to brawling against?

[faithstaynight]

Many things. I am a soldier, so I was trained to fight all manner of enemies with various weapons.

[fingerbangingood]

Like a knight or something?

[faithstaynight]

Oh, certainly not! I did not receive such an honor. As I said, I was but an average soldier.

[Sort of a lie, but Jeanne isn't really the type to brag.]

Don't suppose you'd be up for a spar every now and then, would ya?

I cannot say no to such an offer. I need to keep my skills sharp, after all.
