Fellowship of Animus | First Council of Sages

Setting: Floor 38, early afternoon - forward-dated to July 29
Format: Party style - pick your poison
Summary: After repeated delays, Zelda and Gandalf have finally called the populace of the Tower to discuss productive means of dealing with their situation.

It's taken far too long to get to this point.

Come Sunday, the various couches and armchairs of the uppermost lounge have been arranged in vaguely semi-circle-like patterns, with chairs from other floors scattered amongst them to increase seating even more. The semi-circles face inwards towards a central point to facilitate discussion among a large group of people. Though this is by no means a party, small slices of Lembas bread are available on tables around the perimeter - though there is no shortage of food, the hungry tend to be less cooperative, all the same.

Outside, the sun shines brightly without a cloud to obstruct it, but the atmosphere inside is much less carefree. Considering the purpose of gathering here this day, it's to be expected. Should this council succeed, it may very well change life in the Tower as everyone knows it. If not, well... one should certainly hope individual efforts begin to bear more fruit than they have in the past.

[Well, Sora probably has to stop wandering around and sit down eventually. It's when he tears himself away from the crowd and starts looking for a seat that he spots a girl - someone he does know, but it looks like she isn't feeling very well. Does she need help?

Sora heads in that direction, intent on asking. He may not know her, but that doesn't mean he can't be a little concerned anyway.]

Hey. Are you feeling okay?

[moontothetide]

Mm?

[Tara lifts her head to blink muzzily at Sora. She certainly doesn't look okay. In fact, she looks a bit like she just lost a fight, or is recovering from an illness, and her words are a little slurred.]

Y-Yeah, um...I'm okay. Just, um, kind of tired.

...th-thank you, though. Um, it's, it's nice of you to ask. [She offers Sora a hesitant smile. People don't often express concern for Tara, even her friends, so it's nice when someone does.]

[derping]

[He's not so sure about that; she looks more than just a little tired. Still, arguing wouldn't be very nice, either. Still, he smiles back at her, hoping that she really is doing okay.]

Well, do you mind if I sit here?

[He needs to sit down anyway, and it would probably be good to stay nearby in case she really did end up needing help or something. Sora was no doctor, but he wasn't one to ignore a person who needed something, either.]

W-What?

[Why would a stranger willingly sit next to her? Hell, Tara still has days where she wonders why her friends would willingly sit next to her. She actually looks around the room, wondering if it's just that close to the meeting that Sora is out of options, before blinking back up at him.] N-No, um...I-I don't mind. [A thought strikes her, and she makes to stand.] Um, did, did you need this chair? I-I can move.

[derping]

[He shakes his head before she can stand, trying to motion for her to stay where she is.] What? No, you're fine where you are! Unless I end up bugging you, or something.

[The last comment is mostly a joke; Sora doesn't have the keenest eye for detail, and just figures that she may have gotten the wrong idea or something. He's so relaxed around people that, sometimes, he forgets that it's not as easy for everyone else. He just sees sitting by someone different as a chance to make a new friend.]

Anyway, I'm Sora.

I'm Tara. [She offers him a tentative smile, trusting to the fact that, at least, she's not going to have to find a new seat. Really, though, this boy is so obviously friendly that she relaxes just a bit more.]

K-Kind of wish this happened more often. Um, big meetings like this. I mean, it's, it's kind of nice to see, don't you think so?
