Fellowship of Animus | First Council of Sages

Characters: THE FELLOWSHIP OF ANIMUS aka pretty much everyone
Setting: Floor 38, early afternoon - forward-dated to July 29
Format: Party style - pick your poison
Summary: After repeated delays, Zelda and Gandalf have finally called the populace of the Tower to discuss productive means of dealing with their situation.
Warnings: None yet, will edit should something come up

It's taken far too long to get to this point.

Come Sunday, the various couches and armchairs of the uppermost lounge have been arranged in vaguely semi-circle-like patterns, with chairs from other floors scattered amongst them to increase seating even more. The semi-circles face inwards towards a central point to facilitate discussion among a large group of people. Though this is by no means a party, small slices of Lembas bread are available on tables around the perimeter - though there is no shortage of food, the hungry tend to be less cooperative, all the same.

Outside, the sun shines brightly without a cloud to obstruct it, but the atmosphere inside is much less carefree. Considering the purpose of gathering here this day, it's to be expected. Should this council succeed, it may very well change life in the Tower as everyone knows it. If not, well... one should certainly hope individual efforts begin to bear more fruit than they have in the past.

"'Be careful what you ask for, it might just come through,'" Nanoha murmured quietly to herself, before speaking loud enough to be heard.

"If requests granted are still within the confines of what's being granted, just from a certain point of view... I do wonder if there might be some way of utilizing that to our advantage in some way? Of course, they're not going to be foolish enough to be easily tricked... but it might be worth some consideration, at least."

There's a nod in Romeo's direction. "Yeah, there's that as well..." Nanoha's thought gets a chin-rub. "I suppose it's possible, though it would need some thought - if not some trial and error to get a feel for how they'll do things." He pulls a well-worn notebook out from his vest, and writes the idea down."

"You'd have to be really specific, it think."

Ven finally piped up, having been standing by quietly to simply keep an eye on things, but well-- he'd heard much of the saga of Roxas' struggle with the Suggestion Box. "I have a friend that's been wrestling with it for a while; he requested ice cream once and that was all that was in the Cafeteria one month. Another time he asked for clothes and tried being super specific, and they ended up giving him everything he asked for in toddler's sizes"

Nanoha frowned.

"So they might well fulfill the request, but if there's any possible loophole in it..."

She let out a quiet breath.

"Have there been instances of people getting requests fulfilled as they wanted them, by chance?"

"I asked for some rum once miss, so miss France could make lost bread and they gave me that. I just asked nicely." Sometimes being polite to the bad people didn't work though, it didn't stop them hurting them.

"Seems it may just be up to chance, then. Or possibly whoever fills the requests. We know they take turns at being in charge of the tower - perhaps that applies to filling those requests as well..." Or maybe it's just a crapshoot.

It probably was, and Nanoha knew that.

"It's a long shot to consider we'd be able to get anything that would help us defy them, at least directly," she said. "But if we can figure out a better way of at least getting things that can help us along, that would be helpful..."

She paused a bit.

"And maybe if we could figure out better how they're obtaining these things..."

"Maybe, mister Dax probably tries to give the right things and mister Jason makes everything bad, miss Ruana probably makes things bad as well because shes horrible."

He had no idea where they could come from though, if all the worlds were like his own... then there was nothing left to take...
