Format: Party style - pick your poison
Summary: After repeated delays, Zelda and Gandalf have finally called the populace of the Tower to discuss productive means of dealing with their situation.

It's taken far too long to get to this point.

Come Sunday, the various couches and armchairs of the uppermost lounge have been arranged in vaguely semi-circle-like patterns, with chairs from other floors scattered amongst them to increase seating even more. The semi-circles face inwards towards a central point to facilitate discussion among a large group of people. Though this is by no means a party, small slices of Lembas bread are available on tables around the perimeter - though there is no shortage of food, the hungry tend to be less cooperative, all the same.

Outside, the sun shines brightly without a cloud to obstruct it, but the atmosphere inside is much less carefree. Considering the purpose of gathering here this day, it's to be expected. Should this council succeed, it may very well change life in the Tower as everyone knows it. If not, well... one should certainly hope individual efforts begin to bear more fruit than they have in the past.

[April does notice what the titles on the pages say, and it gets a quick curious glance, before concern appears on her expression again.]

Um, yeah, it's nice to see you again... Though if you don't mind me saying, you really don't look good.

[moontothetide]

...I-I don't mind you saying. [Why would she? It's true, after all.]

It's just, um...it's been a long week. I-I've been, um, working on the garden plan. But mostly, um, work. I-I have a job. I...I keep forgetting that bit, until they remind me. [The threat of drowning does not tend to lend itself to a good night's sleep. Nor do hallucinogenic drugs.]

You, um, you look really good, though. Is everything okay?

[technologic]

... They can give you jobs here? [April tilts her head, curiosity mixing in with the concern on her face.]

Um, yeah... I've, ah, just been keeping myself busy with projects lately. [Though said projects aren't going so well.]

[moontothetide]

Projects? [Tara brightens slightly, if only because this looks like a good excuse to get the topic off of her.] Um...w-what kind of projects? Craft type projects, o-or machine type projects, or gardening?

Ah, machine projects. I've, um, been asked to make communication devices, so I've been working on that for the past few days. It's been pretty difficult though.

[moontothetide]

Communication devices? Like...portable communication devices? [Because they do already have the terminals.

Tara grins in what she hopes is an encouraging manner, and nods.] Whoever asked you to do that, it's, it's a really great idea. I mean, the terminals are great, but th-they're not everywhere and, and sometimes it's nice to be able to run and call for help, too.

Yep, portable ones.

Yeah, he wanted them for... a response team or something. But materials are really scarce, and I need to think of a way to set up a wireless network too.

[moontothetide]

Yeah, I, I guess you would. Otherwise... [Tara gestures vaguely through the air, attempting with her hands to encompass the network that currently exists.] Kind of just, um, more of the same, right? M-Maybe you can ask here. I mean, s-someone might know something. Maybe just something different about the network. I-I'm not going to be that much help there.

Ah, y-yeah, I could ask... [April looks a bit nervous about that. Speaking in front of groups of people is still something she's anxious about doing.] ... And I'll, ah, listen to the discussions that'll go on.

W-Well, of course.

[She can certainly sympathize on that front. Tara has some things she'd like to say. Whether she'll feel up to saying them, well, that's another matter entirely.]

I mean...th-that's part of why we're all here. Listening to different ideas. M-Maybe even yours'.

N-no, probably not mine. I, uh, get really nervous when I talk in f-front of a group of people... I would probably end up tripping over my words or something if I spoke up.
