Setting: Floor 38, early afternoon - forward-dated to July 29
Format: Party style - pick your poison
Summary: After repeated delays, Zelda and Gandalf have finally called the populace of the Tower to discuss productive means of dealing with their situation.

It's taken far too long to get to this point.

Come Sunday, the various couches and armchairs of the uppermost lounge have been arranged in vaguely semi-circle-like patterns, with chairs from other floors scattered amongst them to increase seating even more. The semi-circles face inwards towards a central point to facilitate discussion among a large group of people. Though this is by no means a party, small slices of Lembas bread are available on tables around the perimeter - though there is no shortage of food, the hungry tend to be less cooperative, all the same.

Outside, the sun shines brightly without a cloud to obstruct it, but the atmosphere inside is much less carefree. Considering the purpose of gathering here this day, it's to be expected. Should this council succeed, it may very well change life in the Tower as everyone knows it. If not, well... one should certainly hope individual efforts begin to bear more fruit than they have in the past.

It's worrying, to think that he was ordered to kill and he most likely did spill blood. And he didn't remember.

How many people did he kill? Or hurt?

It's not his entire fault, but the knowledge weighs heavily on him.]

...And who ordered me?

[Suzaku remained silent, letting Minato take that in. He understood, as much as anyone else knew what it felt like to be told you had killed and not have any memory of it.

He had wondered about telling him, about betraying Lelouch; yet again. On the one hand Lelouch had done wrong, but he didn't want people turning on him because that would just isolate Lelouch more.

However Minato deserved to know.] I will tell you, so that you know to avoid them. Usually only one order can be given in a lifetime to one person but since yours disappeared when you died they might be able to do it again...

However you are not to tell anyone else...

[It's a big thing to ask of Minato. If he know who's responsible, Minato would be able to warn people of the risk. On the other hand, that might provoke and push the culprit into desperate measures, depending on their actions.

If he give his word, he won't easily take it back. That's how he is.]

...I won't tell anyone, Suzaku-san.

[Suzaku knew he could trust Minato, more than Minato could trust him at least. He lowered his voice.] Lelouch... he is the only person here with that power as far as I know, and... I confronted him about it. It was him.

I apologise on behalf of him. [Because Lelouch never will...]

In a way, that made sense. That brief memory confusion when he came down and meet with the other boy...]

You're welcome... [He nodded again looking grim, but waited to see if Minato had any other questions.]

...Who else have the Geass power?

[swordofzero]

No one here that I know of. Unless there is another world with Geass in it.

...Thank you again for telling me, Suzaku-san.

Don't worry about it... Hopefully it wont happen again...

[But he still hadn't said anything he wished to...] I also wish to apologise for myself...

[Suzaku looked to the side, this never got any easier. When death was permanent you never had to look those you killed in the eye and explain why. Families and friends were hard enough but this...]

When I realised what Lelouch had done, I knew the only way to stop you... was if you died...

[So the only way was to die.

Minato didn't want to die, not when he have things to do. Death means, in this tower, missing out on things he could've been a part of. However, death means his Geass given order was removed.]

It couldn't be help. You know it's necessary, Suzaku-san.

It doesn't make it any less wrong. [He stared past Minato.]

Then what will you do? [He still watch Suzaku, waiting patiently for his reply. If any.]

All I can do is apologise, and if there is anyway to make up for what I did...

[The deed is already done, Suzaku knows by the conversation that Minato can't remember dying as he was still under the Geass, it still doesn't make Suzaku feel any better.]

...Nothing. All I ask for is for you to keep being my friend and support me.

[Nothing more, nothing less. But a part of him feel selfish about his request.]

Of course. [He doesn't think he makes a good friend, but if Minato wants that of him he will not deny him.]
