DREAM A LITTLE DREAM WITH ME

Characters: all the characters involved in the Dream Event
Setting: various dreams, various locations
Format: any
Summary: Xehanort draws a large amount of the tower into worlds constructed from their dreams in an attempt to learn about everyone en masse
Warnings: ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING

[Tendrils of magic wound their way around, lines of energy flickered into existence, forming a large shape on the ground around where Xehanort sat with his back straight and legs tucked neatly beneath him. Perfect. It was a bigger scale than the one he'd done but a month before, already he could feel the flickers of connection, the shape getting brighter and more defined.

More participants. More mental drag. There was little to worry about. With Xigbar on guard duty, his sleeping body would be quite safe. No, it was time to dream... and see just who would follow.

Darkness shrouded his hand, keyblade flaring into life, and he gripped the handle in both hands, aiming it at the ground, at the keyhole defined by criss-crossing darkness responding, resonating...

drowsiness laced through him, the blade in his hands sagging downward until the tip touched the ground, his posture slacking, head and shoulders slumping slightly

in slumber, the dreams of others awaited

the Master was asleep.]

OOC NOTE BECAUSE I CAN'T EDIT THE POST IT'S ON ANYMORE AND NOT REDOING ALL OF THAT: Dreamers should post to their REAL WORLD thread explaining where their character is, if they made it to a bed or if they're on the floor somewhere or wherever.

If you have questions for me, put them in your base character thread!

If I missed you somehow, let me know and I'll add you to the appropriate section!

American Museum of Natural History

A museum. Hei couldn't recall anything in the memories inside of his head when the last time he came to something similar. It appeared different from most he had been forced to attend for undercover missions, and the area gave off bad vibes all around. He moved silently and quickly, unsure of how he even appeared and wondering what threats were about.

Then he had seen a creature of unknown origin, and he hid behind a pillar, observing it. Whatever this being was, he knew nothing of it, so getting into combat was ill-advised. For now, he just had to avoid these strange creatures, right?

Simple plan, maybe hard in execution due to the growing nightmare.

Aya, on the other hand, was all too familiar with these creatures - while it may have crossed her mind that being back in the Museum of Natural History was odd, even moreso than the fact that abominations against nature were residing in it, she knew what she had to do: eliminate all monsters. That, and if Eve were upstairs again, she'd have to stop her once more - end it once and for all. Hopefully before she jetted out of there, but nonetheless the Ultimate Being couldn't arise once more. Aya would make certain of that.

"Take this, you bastard!" Why use mitochondrial powers when you can just kick a T-Rex, and give it a nosebleed instead? The creature hit the wall on the other side of the room as Aya readied her next attack. She certainly hoped that nobody else was around to witness this.

"Apobiosis!" Shooting electric discharges out of her fingertips, there was very suddenly roasted T-Rex in front of her. Too bad she wasn't hungry.

perfectly fine!

...Damn. Hei can honestly say he had never seen anything quite like that But while the sight was impressive, allowing him to study Aya's techniques, there were other things he needed to do. She certainly didn't need any help for the time being, and he could try to avoid her.

He moved from pillar to pillar, avoiding the gaze of the Mitochondria. They didn't even sense his presence, not closing in at him at all. Creatures like those should have had some sense, so why not strike him down as well? Strange, and it was making him all the more curious. Just what was she?

Unfortunately, even as experienced as Aya was, her powers right now were very little compared to what she had back when she was originally at the Museum of Natural History. No Liberation, and her Parasite Energies, while potent, were not all-powerful. It was nice seeing Maya again at the Chrysler Building, but the consequences of having her mitochondrial powers diminished finally caught up to her.

While the T-Rex was defeated and began disintegrating onto the floor, Aya was ambushed by several rodents, more than she could possibly handle. Not being able to cast Plasma quickly enough, Aya fell, bloodied.

Not much he could do at this rate. Aya was overrun with those strange creatures. Little he could do, but there had been blood on the floor, connecting to those rodents. An idea popped into this head, and he bent down. The familiar faint aura surrounded his body, eyes glowing a tint of red.

Electricity soon danced across the floor, striking into the mutated vermin. Given how effective her abilities were, this might work as well.

"Whoa, that was a doozy. I don't quite remember casting Plasma thought...?" Aya slowly got up, tossing aside the bloody rodents. Quickly casting a healing ability on herself, her wounds began to close, and the antibodies worked against whatever diseases those creatures may have been carrying. Quickly after that getting out of the blood pool in case there was a loose fuse somewhere, Aya looked around. Shaking her head after finding nobody, she quickly made her way to the stairs.

Good, that actually worked. If he could just shock these creatures himself, things would go a lot more smoothly. Carefully, he followed Aya, keeping to the shadows and behind cover. Right now, he needed to see more evidence within this dream, and find out just what she was. Not even a Contractor could demonstrate such power, at least not without the meteor shard.

"She's behind this door." Aya spoke aloud, catching her breath. She stood at the door to the central room on the top floor, the door framed with a mix of flesh and veins and whatever else that Mitochondrial Eve deemed fit for her nest. The smell was gross, too. Aya wondered if she could really survive this encounter again, especially with diminished powers compared to before. Shaking her head, she knew she had to do this.

"It's showtime." Aya kicked down the door, and her face twisted with disgust. The body of Melissa Pearce, twisted by the entity known as Mitochondrial Eve, pregnant with the Ultimate Being. Without another word, Aya's eyes lit up as the mitochondria within her own body heated up, unleashing a fury of flames toward her target without saying another word.

More and more, this was getting bizarre. Was this all really a memory, or just a dream of hers? Both technically, but it was still a bit hard to take in with all of this. Keeping to the shadows, all he could do was ponder just what the hell all of this was. At any rate, answers going to be given as sneaked closer to the battlefield, knife in hand. No doubt he may be forced to enter the fight if it came down to it.
