Summary: Xehanort draws a large amount of the tower into worlds constructed from their dreams in an attempt to learn about everyone en masse
Warnings: ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING

[Tendrils of magic wound their way around, lines of energy flickered into existence, forming a large shape on the ground around where Xehanort sat with his back straight and legs tucked neatly beneath him. Perfect. It was a bigger scale than the one he'd done but a month before, already he could feel the flickers of connection, the shape getting brighter and more defined.

More participants. More mental drag. There was little to worry about. With Xigbar on guard duty, his sleeping body would be quite safe. No, it was time to dream... and see just who would follow.

Darkness shrouded his hand, keyblade flaring into life, and he gripped the handle in both hands, aiming it at the ground, at the keyhole defined by criss-crossing darkness responding, resonating...

drowsiness laced through him, the blade in his hands sagging downward until the tip touched the ground, his posture slacking, head and shoulders slumping slightly

in slumber, the dreams of others awaited

[He took a deep breath, and gingerly held the side of his head for a moment, as if to stave off a developing a migraine. What could he say...]

In my universe, there's a spell that can put enemies to sleep for a short period of time. This is a more advanced version of that spell.

I can't tell you how or why. I don't really understand all of the mechanics myself.

[ ... Link listens intently. ]

... I see. So in other words, this is the work of one of the other captives here and not our administrators.

[ ... Mmm. Link has to say, this isn't their style. Not sterile enough. But you have to give 'em credit for being a decent puzzle solver. ]

This... does not feel as though the King of Evil is responsible. Perhaps there is another means of waking her... you mentioned dreams?

[The surprise on his face was hopefully confirmation enough, as he wouldn't be able to hint it otherwise. He was glad someone had figured that out.]

Yeah-- I've figured out how to enter people's dreams. If you want, I can send you into whatever Zelda's dreaming of now. I don't know if it's possible to wake anyone up like that, but you can still help either way.

[And hopefully keep Xehanort from seeing something too bad....]

[It's at this point that Sheik reveals himself, stepping out of the shadows. He had heard part of their conversation, and now he looks down at the sleeping princess, a worried expression on his face. A pang of guilt hits; if he had done his duty and kept an eye on her, perhaps this wouldn't be happening.

He looks at the boy, the only one he doesn't know of the two, and nods his head in greeting. It would be best to introduce himself before he's seen as an enemy] My name is Sheik. I am a...friend, of Link and Princess Zelda. You say it is possible to enter her dreams?

[ Okay Link is momentarily distracted because HOW ARE THERE TWO ZELDAS IS THIS HER MAGIC?!

... Bah, alternate timelines. The only thing the Hero of Time can assume. Thankfully being here has long since gotten Link used to duplicates, and they shake it off quickly. ]

... Sheik, I am... glad to see you.

[ Ahem. Turning back to Ventus-- ]

... I want to try. Can you help me? ... Forgive my rashness, my name is Link, by the way. I assume you already know Zelda. But I will do all I can to wake her, if that may work.

--Whoah! [Sheik's sudden appearance makes him jump in surprise, but he makes a quick recovery and offers a smile, though it's not the strongest.] I'm Ventus. I'm a friend of hers too.

[It was back to business though, as he looked at both Sheik and Link with a nod.] I can send you both in; it's not that hard. I can send you in, and then all you have to do is fall and not crash into anything until you reach the dream itself. Easy enough, if you're up to it.
