DREAM A LITTLE DREAM WITH ME

Characters: all the characters involved in the Dream Event
Setting: various dreams, various locations
Format: any
Summary: Xehanort draws a large amount of the tower into worlds constructed from their dreams in an attempt to learn about everyone en masse
Warnings: ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING

[Tendrils of magic wound their way around, lines of energy flickered into existence, forming a large shape on the ground around where Xehanort sat with his back straight and legs tucked neatly beneath him. Perfect. It was a bigger scale than the one he'd done but a month before, already he could feel the flickers of connection, the shape getting brighter and more defined.

More participants. More mental drag. There was little to worry about. With Xigbar on guard duty, his sleeping body would be quite safe. No, it was time to dream... and see just who would follow.

Darkness shrouded his hand, keyblade flaring into life, and he gripped the handle in both hands, aiming it at the ground, at the keyhole defined by criss-crossing darkness responding, resonating...

drowsiness laced through him, the blade in his hands sagging downward until the tip touched the ground, his posture slacking, head and shoulders slumping slightly

in slumber, the dreams of others awaited

the Master was asleep.]

OOC NOTE BECAUSE I CAN'T EDIT THE POST IT'S ON ANYMORE AND NOT REDOING ALL OF THAT: Dreamers should post to their REAL WORLD thread explaining where their character is, if they made it to a bed or if they're on the floor somewhere or wherever.

If you have questions for me, put them in your base character thread!

If I missed you somehow, let me know and I'll add you to the appropriate section!

As the scene changes once more in a mirage of past friends and possibly future foes, Haldir found himself staring at Majima and his friend once more as they gazed out at the city below. Somewhat hesitant to roam towards the edge of the roof out of his own fear of being blown off by the strong breeze, the Elf's indigo gaze lingered on Majima as the two "brothers" began to converse. Similar to the earlier conversation, this one was light and charming as well. Whoever this Saejima was, Haldir had nothing but respect for this man. He seemed like a person that he would easily like. Someone who could keep Majima in his place with just a few well-placed jokes.

Nearly grinning from ear to ear once Saejima mentioned buying the fool a collar, Haldir broke his silence again with a hearty laugh that was a little too loud. He couldn't help himself! Just the sheer thought of Majima roaming about on four legs with a tacky dog collar tickled him terribly.

His laughter immediately ceased as he heard someone else's with his own. Saejima should have turned at that moment, too, but seemed content how he was -- smoking and staring up at the sky which was overcast at the moment. He growled slightly as he turned toward the intruder. Within this dream, he could not quite recognize who this person was -- still in the past and his youth rather than recognizing he should be in the present.

The cigarette was pulled from his mouth to be tossed down on the roof. He stepped on it, twisted his heel to snuff it out. "Who the fuck are you?" The title that he was given before seemed obvious now -- a guard-dog that was trying to protect his charge. It didn't matter to him that the charge being someone who still seemed built on pure muscle yet still the one that he would defend against.

His laughter suddenly ceased when he received a heated glare from the "Mad Dog". Haldir wasn't aware that Majima could still "see" him, nevertheless, still "hear" him as well. Already realizing why Majima's nickname was that of a mad dog, the Elf offered the young man a slight smirk as he arched his brow high in surprise. "Already forgotten your manners, I see." he replied quite hastily with a hint of arrogance in his tone. "Such a shame, I'm not fond of being easily forgotten like this." Idly wondering what this guard-dog shall do next, the marchwarden merely smiles at Majima and waits for him to reply.

"Forgotten?" Saejima continued to have his conversation, pausing for the breaks where Majima would speak, even though the man had long since started walking toward this man. His eyebrows came together -- nobody that he recognized. Of course, as he thought that, the youthful appearance shifted to his older then back. The dream was not willing to relinquish what it was that he should know easily.

"And, I got no manners for people who over hear shit they shouldn't."

As Majima came ever so nearer, the Elf retreated. He could tell that this could end rather badly for him if he blatantly stated the truth here and now. This scene before him was nothing other than a dream, a dream that the young yakuza obviously believed was real. The marchwarden knew he would have a difficult time getting Majima to believe that this dream world was nothing other than a dream.

"I have spied upon your conversations earlier but it was quite unwillingly." Now backed into a wall, Haldir stood there awaiting for whatever would come next. "Surely you do remember me, Majima Goro. This is not the first we've met but you act as if you remember nothing of me." Looking a tad curious now, the Elf tilted his head somewhat to the right and stared at Majima almost pleadingly. "Rein in your anger long enough and I shall tell you what you need to know."

Saejima continued to seem unaffected by what was happening as Majima decided that his brother just didn't care enough to worry about this shit. This was why he had to worry all the time; he sighed loudly to himself as he crossed his arms. His head bobbed from side to side, very much like some dog who heard an unfamiliar noise and trying to discover the source.

"Unwillin', huh?" He ran his tongue along his teeth before sighing. "All right. I already promised someone that I ain't gonna start a fight on this roof. Seems that's why my brother is remainin' as calm as all this." It wasn't like they were talking about anything too serious about the Tojo Clan. He closed his eyes, and only just seemed to control himself. The desire to protect 'em was pretty powerful but he didn't have a right to go smashin' anyone's face in.

"Go on, then." His clothing shifted then to a suit, yet he didn't seem to notice how that would be strange.

Rather grateful that Majima's wrath has been reined for now, Haldir answers him quickly in hopes of not being interrupted. "This you before you is nothing more than a dream." he began with somewhat solemn tone. "Unbeknown to me, I've been snatched from the waking world and forced into the dreams of others. I know of naught of how this came to be but here I am, and here you are."

Growing quite restless now, Haldir moves away cautiously from Majima and walks towards the babbling Saejima. "Can't you tell this is a dream?" he asked as he glanced back towards Majima, still quite surprised by how different the man looked in his youth. "Your sworn brother fails to notice me. How odd." Haldir hesitantly brings his gaze back to Saejima, just watching him as he talked to nothing.

"They must've done this." The elf whispered softly. "The Administrators, the ones who rule the Tower."

Majima stared at him for a time, quiet, but could still hear Saejima carry on. The jokes that they would have and responding to what he normally would say. "Oy, brother. What the hell are you doin'?" But there wasn't any change. Even to what he was saying -- his eyebrows came together as he took another step away from his brother.

The silence descended then, yet his appearance did not change to his older. Something stopped him from returning, from remembering. Maybe, he wanted to stay this way so he could stay with his brother. Something silly of that. "So this is a dream." He finally spoke as he turned back to the other. Haldir. "Right. What's the point of it, Haldir? I ain't leavin' my brother even if this is a dream. He might be trapped, too."

Now resting his dark gaze on Majima once more, Haldir answered him with undeniable logic. "Had been a victim of this foul jest, then surely he would've noticed by now that you're no longer speaking to him." Offering him a faint smirk, Haldir turned away from Majima completely to focus on the city before him.

"What an exquisite view..."

"Right." Majima did not explain which statement he was responding to, but walked back to Saejima. He stared up at him for a time, tilting his head in the same manner. The laughter at their old jokes and conversations that felt both new and old. "I'm going on ahead, brother." He lightly patted the shoulder of the other, but did not get a response from him.

"This is how it was years ago. Don't look much like this anymore." He scratched his nose as he returned to how he should be. The fact he was in a suit didn't change, however, just the color. "These memories and dreams ain't for someone to be enjoyin' but me. I hate the fact someone's rubbin' one out on this.

So, figure out how to wake up from these yet, Haldir?"

Once the elf turned to face Majima, his eyes widened once that youthful face became aged and gaunt once more. Now wearing a fancy eye-patch as he did before in Animus, Haldir simply stared at the man with wide blue eyes. He almost looked nothing like his former self, all except for the hair. For some reason, Majima seemed to be rather fond of wearing his hair so plainly. The suit, however, was an interesting addition to the yakuza's usual attire. Haldir would've preferred the suit for him more hadn't Majima looked so uncomfortable within it. Perhaps the fabric of this attire isn't finely made or maybe it's heavy in some way. Whatever the reason, it seemed to have brought Majima great discomfort.

"Not as of yet." Haldir lamented as he felt a sigh escape his lips. "I'm uncertain whether I'm dreaming or not but I guess I cannot leave this dream until you awake." Now wondering how he's going to achieve that feat, a chilling thought suddenly came to him. One that he's quite unwilling to share with Majima just yet. There might be a way to wake him but it would have to be something quite startling enough to knock Majima out of unconsciousness.

"That so?" He shrugged his shoulders once as he couldn't figure out how it was that he should wake up. His gaze shifted toward the stairs leading up to the rooftop -- Yasuko stood there with a plate full of some rice balls. She walked past the two to where Saejima and "he" was supposed to be.

Saejima began as he knew that he would, now that his memories and self were somewhat back to where they should be. "You didn't have to do this. Besides, isn't it a little late--"

"For both of you to still be up, you mean?" She teased softly with laughter in both words and eyes. "Besides, Majima's looking a lot thinner than usual."

"That's right. Aren't you even trying to take care of yourself, anymore?"

"Don't worry about me. You two should worry about yerselves." Majima called over his shoulder as they carried on their conversation without him. Some fretting about how much he should be eating and promises to come over more often so that he can get a good meal instead of what food he would partake in bars or wherever he was eating these days.

"'ch." He almost forgot himself back in the dream. Obvious as his appearance once more changed, and did not change back. Still, the voice and tone was obviously his present self. "I should kill the people who would drag those two into this. Beat their fuckin' heads in."
