DREAM A LITTLE DREAM WITH ME

Characters: all the characters involved in the Dream Event
Setting: various dreams, various locations
Format: any
Summary: Xehanort draws a large amount of the tower into worlds constructed from their dreams in an attempt to learn about everyone en masse
Warnings: ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING

[Tendrils of magic wound their way around, lines of energy flickered into existence, forming a large shape on the ground around where Xehanort sat with his back straight and legs tucked neatly beneath him. Perfect. It was a bigger scale than the one he'd done but a month before, already he could feel the flickers of connection, the shape getting brighter and more defined.

More participants. More mental drag. There was little to worry about. With Xigbar on guard duty, his sleeping body would be quite safe. No, it was time to dream... and see just who would follow.

Darkness shrouded his hand, keyblade flaring into life, and he gripped the handle in both hands, aiming it at the ground, at the keyhole defined by criss-crossing darkness responding, resonating...

drowsiness laced through him, the blade in his hands sagging downward until the tip touched the ground, his posture slacking, head and shoulders slumping slightly

in slumber, the dreams of others awaited

the Master was asleep.]

OOC NOTE BECAUSE I CAN'T EDIT THE POST IT'S ON ANYMORE AND NOT REDOING ALL OF THAT: Dreamers should post to their REAL WORLD thread explaining where their character is, if they made it to a bed or if they're on the floor somewhere or wherever.

If you have questions for me, put them in your base character thread!

If I missed you somehow, let me know and I'll add you to the appropriate section!

Long and exhausting as it was-- and as dreary as the atmosphere was-- Ven didn't mind it too much. Normally he wouldn't like going through such dark and tense situations for so long on end, but after all the other dreams he'd visited, it was almost kind of nice.

He'd almost ran in after Gimli when they got to the tomb of Balin just so that something would happen, but stopped himself; that, didn't matter much though given the...monsters that were coming.

"Here they come--!" His sword had fallen just a bit, but he readied it up once again now, no matter how weird the grip felt.

The doors were quickly shut, sealed with axes from the fallen dwarves and whatever else they could block it with. Boromir muttered something about a cave troll as he moved back from the door. When it went, nobody would want to be so close to it, lest they risk being crushed.

Legolas drew back an arrow, sharp eyes watching the doors as orcs approached and began hacking at it. The first orc that was visible as they hacked a hole in the door would find an arrow in his eye, yellow feathers on the end of it marking it as the princes. And another arrow was knocked back before the orc had even fallen, prepared to take down yet another. One from Aragorn followed and then the door crashed open.

Part of him took the time off to note the impressive archery-- ranged skills were certainly his expertise, but he probably wouldn't be able to guide an arrow very well. The minor distracted was forced to take a backseat however, when the door was forcibly opened.

No time to waste then; Ven had no idea what these things were, but they were without a doubt the enemy. He sprinted forward swinging his sword in a wide arc in front of him to slice through the orcs.

Legolas was impressed as well, at how easily Ventus handled a blade. There were few humans that could handle one so well at such an age. This thought didn't slow the elf at all however as he fired another arrow and looked towards the cave troll that was lumbering into the tomb.

The prince knocked back another arrow and released, aiming for its face. Sadly, arrows were not the most effective of weapons against trolls, forcing the elf to draw his twin blades and attack it, attempting to ensure that the troll didn't go for Ventus or the Hobbits.

Legolas certainly didn't have to worry about the trolls going for Ven at least, because he was going straight for them. He slide across the ground to swing behind one of them and spun around, carrying the sword's blade through a small crowd of trolls around him.

A cave troll was a difficult foe to take down, even with the swords of the Fellowship and Gimli's axe, the troll was quite resilient. Although that was a given considering how large it was. The Hobbits barely seemed to participate, not until the troll nearly killed Frodo.

It would be lying to say Ven was still trucking along just fine; he had plenty of stamina sure, and he could run on forever, but when he was dashing around, using a strange weapon, and getting attacked himself, it made his stamina drain down, fast.

He took in a breath-- had to keep going though. He pointed the sword forward, unleashing a ball of fire towards one of the trolls harassing the Hobbits.

Magic? From a Man? Something there... wasn't right. Legolas almost stopped mid-fight but he was still aware of how dangerous this battle was, how anyone could die at any given moment considering how swarmed they were in the tomb.

And then it dawned on him. Humans weren't capable of magic. That was a gift wizards like Gandalf possessed.

Unfortunately, Ven missed that memo, and followed up the fireball attack with a few quick slashes with his sword.

It was when he stopped for a second to rest that he got Legolas' momentary look, and that was what caused him curiosity-- had he screwed up somehow? He was still kind of knew at this whole "course of a dream" thing...

But then of course, there was much time to dwell on it, because he had to spin around and try to stab a troll in the face.

Missed memo indeed and it has Legolas thinking. The dream is very close to being broken but for now, nothing yet. The focus is on the battle and any change from that could run the risk of someone getting killed.

Ven's attack was definitely worth the risk, blinding one of its eyes but also much more dangerous, the beast flailing in rage now.
