Summary: Xehanort draws a large amount of the tower into worlds constructed from their dreams in an attempt to learn about everyone en masse
Warnings: ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING

[Tendrils of magic wound their way around, lines of energy flickered into existence, forming a large shape on the ground around where Xehanort sat with his back straight and legs tucked neatly beneath him. Perfect. It was a bigger scale than the one he'd done but a month before, already he could feel the flickers of connection, the shape getting brighter and more defined.

More participants. More mental drag. There was little to worry about. With Xigbar on guard duty, his sleeping body would be quite safe. No, it was time to dream... and see just who would follow.

Darkness shrouded his hand, keyblade flaring into life, and he gripped the handle in both hands, aiming it at the ground, at the keyhole defined by criss-crossing darkness responding, resonating...

drowsiness laced through him, the blade in his hands sagging downward until the tip touched the ground, his posture slacking, head and shoulders slumping slightly

in slumber, the dreams of others awaited

the Master was asleep.]

[Sheik tilts his head nonchalantly, but look closely and there's a hint of anxiety in his eyes. This dark young man couldn't be able to pierce through his illusions, could he?]

I cannot say I have seen many outsiders in Hyrule since Ganondorf's rise.

[It's hardly a welcoming country, in this state. So who are you, and what do you know, traveler...]

[He knows this scent, he knows he knows it. And since it seems he is right about that much, the rest is just a question of time.

His eyes narrow slightly in recognition at that name - so this is that man's world - but he doesn't comment on it. Instead he tilts his head, and shrugs.]

I can't say I'm surprised, given the state of this world... it's not exactly inviting.

[He shakes his head.]

It's almost funny, what strange places we end up at in dream.

[... Sheik hardly finds this whole thing amusing, to be frank. This has been his reality for however many years now, and it's hardly one to be taken lightly. And yet.... there's something about this boy, something he can't quite place that tells him while he might not have much of a clue who he is, he's one that means no harm.]

In dream, you say.

[Explain, would you?]

[Riku doesn't really either, or maybe just the tragic kind of funny that really isn't amusing at all, except to those with the dark, cynic kind of humor. Though... the longer he eyes the other boy, the clearer things seem to become... or at least, he is becoming more certain of who he is facing.]

A dream. That's what this is- [There is a moment of hesitation - should he risk it, should he call out for the one he is almost certain he is facing - but it shows in his smile, when he tilts his head and ends his pause.] -Your Highness.

[Sheik's cool, collected demeanor vanishes almost entirely with those two little words, scarlet eyes widening in shock and fear. Then, in a flash, the "survivor of the Sheikah" is on Riku, grabbing his collar and hissing through his, or rather, her teeth.]

Do not say such things so casually.

[Aggressive her actions may be, but if Riku's perceptive enough, he might just notice that the disguised princess is trembling underneath her scolding. She's worked so hard for so long-- she can't be found out now!]

Explain.

[He stays still in her grip, doesn't move to defend himself and just calmly holds her gaze. He doesn't mean to bring her any harm.]

All this... all you are seeing right now is part of a spell. Someone in the tower has put us all to sleep, and that sleep is sending us from dream to dream.

[He reaches up to place his hand gently over the one at his collar.]

You need to remember.

[What comes after this. The memories that lie beyond this moment in time.]

Tower...?

[Her brow furrows at that word, eyes squinting in both recognition and confusion. That word holds significance, more significance than she knows what to do with right now and...

... Slowly, she loosens her grip, pulling back slightly to get a better look at the boy. She scans his features silently and with great intent for a moment, before she reaches up with her other hand and holds it over his eyes.

Wait a minute--]

... Riku?

[His lips twitch in amusement when she covers his eyes - does he really look that different without the blindfold?]

That's me.

[He turns more serious a second later though.]

Are you all right?

[And she'll just... gently but awkwardly let him go, stepping back into conversational space. Haha... this is embarrassing. Good thing the disguise covers up a lot of her expression.]

Yes, I am fine. This place is a sanctuary beyond even the Evil King's reach. Though I do not suppose that matters much if this is a dream...

[This is confusing.]

[He takes a step back himself, glancing around as he well... waits for the awkward to pass.]

A sanctuary, huh... [He supposes that fits the feel of this place.]

...Right now it might be treacherous though.

[As may be any place as long as they still dream.]
