i found you myself, it's only natural you'd fall in love with me (OPEN)

Characters: Haruhi Suzumiya and YOU!
Setting: Everywhere and anywhere.
Format: Starting with prose, but will match you!
Summary: Enter one very annoyed brigade leader. Who will be investigating the tower top to bottom.
Warnings: None at the moment, but possible cursing and harassment.

The first thought in Haruhi's mind wasn't that she was kidnapped, or even the mere fact that she wasn't in Nishinomiya, no way. The first thing she thought was that this place was so amazing!

'Your world has been destroyed?' Ha, as if. That wasn't very likely at all, and she knew it. After all, she wasn't the ultra detective, the supersleuth for nothing. If there wasn't any solid proof, then those words held no truth to them at all. Which is why this detective isn't going to stop until she finds out what exactly is going on.

She knew that this was a big tower, and that the outfit she was wearing wasn't exactly suitable for roaming around a place as big and vast as this. She did have her North High uniform, but she couldn't be bothered changing to it. At least, not now. There were more important things to take care of. The first question that came to mind was: 'Where are the other brigade members?' They were important to her, and plus, if they were truly missing, she would have another problem on her hands. The chief was supposed to take care of her members, each and every single one of them! If she failed them, she failed herself.

But at least, for the moment, she was alive. Trying to be as enthusiastic as she could, she pumped her fist into the air, calling out as loud as we can, "Alright! Time for the supersleuth to do some sleuthing!" But what she didn't know was how horrible things can get in a mysterious place. It was just like a mystery novel, wasn't it...

Though that's not going to stop Haruhi from checking each floor.

Now it was time to move onwards!

"There are," Wilhelm responded calmly. His albinism-stricken eyes took in the young girl, sizing her up. She was young. Unfortunately young, given the Lovecraftian hellhole she was just pulled into. And yet... Wilhelm sensed something odd about her. Something that caught his interest, and even felt oddly familiar to him. He'd have to study her later with the Compass.

He then motioned to the seat in front of him. "Do you play chess?" he asked calmly, as the music began to pick up into the crescendo.

Ahh. That type of grin. How many of those has he seen throughout the last few millennia? It really says a lot about a person, especially when asked to play a game most people consider boring.

Wilhelm withdrew a small, polished glass chessboard from underneath his desk. His hand began glowing for a second, as the various chess pieces, also glowing the same myriad of dark colors as hand, levitated into place on the chess board. When they were in place, Wilhelm's hand stopped glowing. It was only a very minor display of power, but it was done for the sole purpose of gauging her reactions. After all - he could sense hers a bit, too.

The two types of chess pieces were clear, and white. He shifted the board so that Haruhi would be the white team, meaning she went first.

"Would you mind if I asked you a few questions?" he asked politely, reaching for his wine glass. She was young; no wine for her, unless she asked.
