Karaoke Party!
Characters: Yusuke and all nondreamers; dreamers' bodies can be brought and laid somewhere
Setting: Media Room
Format: any
Summary: Yusuke thinks the power of loud music might be able to wake up the dreamers and--he's just looking for an excuse to party.
Warnings: none so far, maybe swearing at best
[Only a few days after most had fallen into a coma, Yusuke had been preparing his own little party at the media room. There wasn't any food, but there was at least a section marked to let others know to drop off their comatose allies. Speakers were set apart across the room, to make sure the full power of the voices sung could reach this room. Yes, Yusuke knew this was a dumb idea, but hey, was anyone really going to stop him?
And yes, there was a bit of a stage as well, chairs and such spread out, and on the machine was an actual karaoke machine. How did he find it? Dumb luck apparently. Either way, to actually set all of this up was quite an achievement.
So what are you doing? Singing, or perhaps here to hope Yusuke's plan actually works?]

I've paid my dues
Time after time
I've done my sentence
But committed no crime
And bad mistakes
I've made a few
I've had my SHARE OF SAND KICKED IN MY FACE
BUT I'VE COME THROUUUUUUUUGH
[See, what could be said about Aleph's singing was that demons, upon hearing it, tend to think that he was trying to kill them with it. To put it lightly, it was awful.]

Can we turn the volume down a little?!
no subject
The point is to be as loud as possible, to wake them up, right?
Weeee are the champiooooons...

AND WE'LL KEEP ON FIGHTING TIL THE END.
[To her credit, she's at least on key.]

[It's on.]

'CAUSE WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS OF THE WOOOOOOORLD

[He's joking. Probably.]

[She'll believe him anyways.]

[Aleph picks the next one.
In the future of the Tokyo Millenium, Lady Gaga has become a musical giant the likes of which have never been seen.
It's Poker Face.]

I wanna hold 'em like they do in Texas please~

[At least it's not too high of a girl's voice. That would be much, much worse.]

And after he's been hooked I'll play the one that's on his heart
[She takes a deep breath. This is her favorite part!]
WHOAH OH OH OH, WHOAH OH OHHHH OH.

[Changing the gender of the lyrics would be an insult to the creative genius and artistic vision of Lady Gaga.]

Can't read my, can't read my, no he can't re~ad my Poker Face--
[And then she points to him to let him have the deep vocal part.]

[Thanks sis.]

even though she is good at it.Instead, she'll be taking a seat and listening to everyone who does sing and checking to see if there's any sign of life from the comatose people.]no subject
[She also looks over at the comatose people and gives a hum in agreement.] I hope so. Some of the people who're singing are certainly loud enough.
[Like Aleph and his... attempts at singing.]

... Ah, I'm April. It's nice to meet you, Aerith.
no subject
... Wait, you and your friend arrived together?
no subject
The next time there's a karaoke thing, we need to keep him away from it.

Luckily he's asleep or else things would get worse. April blinks at Aerith in surprise and shakes her head.]Ah, n-no way, I'm not good at singing. [She is, but she doesn't think so.]

Aaah! Sonata's here! Who's singing?! Who?! Sonata wants to sing, too!
[Then she hesitated. As she looked around and took in the room, she realized that something was kind of weird.]
...why's everyone sleeping?
no subject

[She looks skeptical about how effective this plan would be. Just a little. She creeps over to one of the sleepers and pokes them on the cheek. Huh. No response.]
Don't people in comas have to go to hospitals?
no subject
no subject
[Well, if that's the plan, that's the plan! Her enthusiasm returns, and she darts for the karaoke machine and the microphone.]
Sonata will sing! Sonata's an idol! Everyone will have to get up!
[...but not right away. It's taking time to locate the AKB0048 songs. Ohh, wait, why're they under AKB48...?]

[She selects a song, settles the microphone in her hand, and strikes a pose up on that bit of a stage. On comes the music, and away she goes.]
I've been waiting, I've been waiting, I've been waiting, YES!
[The YES comes with a jump, punctuating all that energy.]
I've been waiting, I've been waiting, I've been waiting, YES!
For yooooooou!
[She's not just singing here, no no. She's dancing. There's a routine here, and she's going through it like a pro idol.]
I pedal my bike with all my might,
As I make my way up- this- hill-!
Now even my shirt, blown by the wind,
Is only getting in my waaaaay!
[She's even running from one side of the stage to the other, waving at the sleepers at each stop. It's all an important part of the show! And so goes the rest of the song, belted out with all of the passion that she can manage. That would HAVE to wake someone up!]

Well.
Let's face it.
He was here for inevitable hilarity. Things such as this would surely provide that, and he needed something that skewed towards entertaining.
If it worked, that'd be swell.
If not, he'd have fun with the hopes of people making fools of themselves.
Win-win!
Thus, he just stood off in a corner, somehow managing to both lurk unobtrusively and stick out like a sore thumb at the same time.

[And yes, Yusuke is taking center stage as the music begins playing behind him from the machine; thank god it had presets. He smirks, twirling the microphone in his hand before he starts singing.]
In the opposite side of the mirror
I don't know the image of me that stands there
Like a violent storm blowing fiercely
Filling up my heart
A premonition of the neverending fight
This blood inside my body starts to boil
Already there is nothing I can do to stop myself
It's not part of the plot, dead or alive
Nothin' gonna believe, but I want to believe
If the case is that I feel love, however
I stand stock-still in the wind
The absolute zero of this dream hits me
Surpassing my life, this night
It lets me see
Reflected in my eye, a beautiful lullaby
Calling to me
My spirit has not been tainted
Only you fall when you try to stand
This waking love breaks open my hot chest
Am I not disoriented, yes or no?
Nothin' gonna be free, as I look back
I hold back my smile, however
I continue to run, always looking for
The absolute 100 degrees of this reliable epilogue
Nothin' gonna believe, but I want to believe
If the case is that I feel love, however
I stand stock-still in the wind
The absolute zero of this dream hits me!

But her enthusiasm for the performance dies off when he's finally done. For Sonata has taken a look around at all the sleepers....]
...I don't think it worked.
