towerofanimus | 3rd Goal

Characters: Genda and anyone who stumbles across him!
Setting: Floor 32
Format: Action is preferred
Summary: Genda's pissed off after a past conversation, and decides to blow off steam.
Warnings: None yet, though Genda's v. angry, whoops.

[Genda's set himself up a small training area on the far side of the island, deciding to only use one or two of the trees for training, since the tower provides little else for such things.
One tree's decorated with little, hanging foil shapes to keep birds away from the area - don't want them nesting in trees he may shake up! - and its bark looks fairly worn down.
Right now, that's where Genda can be found - he's been working on his punches, since it's the main force behind his goalkeeping tactics. Every once in a while, a punch may have visible, orange shockwaves - it's something he's working on, and these fists are filled with emotions that need to be released somehow.

If you happen across him at the right time, of course, he does pull back from his relentless attack on the poor tree - only to summon a huge drill above his head and burying it within the wood.
That helped a bit, sure. But now he's short one tree, and he promise himself he wouldn't destroy the forest.]

... Damn it.

I'm sure Kidou wouldn't mind pitching in, either - he was the former captain of a team I was on, and an amazing game maker.
I've only been a goalkeeper all my life, so that's all I'd be able to teach you, but I would definitely enjoy helping!

[Beat sees it. And there goes his own too, getting really overly excited about this in a manner strikingly reminiscent of a kid.]

[There's also a really weird feeling in the back of his head that he can't quite identify, but it's just as warm and fuzzy as the excitement is. If he wasn't such a self-centered jerk the rest of the time, he might have been able to identify it as big brother instinct kicking him in the ass.]

[Whoops.]

This is gonna be awesome.

Yes, it definitely will! [All of this has finally got a big grin out of Genda, thinking about playing soccer with all of his friends in the tower.

It would be a blast!]

Maybe we can even put together teams to play real games?

Yeah! Like I said, there are a bunch of people sitting around here being angsty and doing nothing, I betcha they'd love to get something like that going!

And we can even make the goals that Kidou and I had been planning!

[He hops to his feet then, giving Beat a smile and holding out his hand for Beat.]

Let's do this, then! We can even customize our field however we'd like!

Alright! [Wow, kid's strong. He didn't exactly need help getting up, but he took it anyway.] What'll we use for field? The meadow?

That's where we've been playing, yes. There's enough room for a field, I think!

[Dude, he could carry Beat if he really wanted to. He's likely going to be the one doing a lot of heavy lifting.]

[Yeah, fair enough. Beat is by no means a weak man, but most of the strength is in his legs.] Sweet. You're gonna need to tell me where the lines go, but I can probably get it painted.

Don't worry about that - I have my field back home memorized by now, so that'll be easy.

[Mind if they start off then? He's excited, and wants to get this set up!]

[Next stop: workshop floor!!!! ...Eventually.]

Man. Walking down stairs is slow.

Well, there isn't really an alternative.

[Shrug!]

But that doesn't matter, right? We're at the place we need to be, after all.

'Course there is... if I had worn my skates. [He could just grind down that rail like nobody's business.]

...Hey, so we are! Go figure.

[Another shrug!]

But then you'd leave me behind!

[Just gonna poke around everything in the workshop now - he doesn't visit often, after all!]

Then you'd have to learn to go faster. [The troll grin is strong in this one.]

[While Genda goes exploring, Beat hunts for something a bit more specific -- the measuring tape and metal rods.] How big 're these goal-things, Genda?

Two and a half meters tall, and seven and a half meters long.
For the frame, anyway.

[Guy knows his goal inside and out, yeeee]

There's yard paint over here for when we get the goals set! [Good, good!]

Cool. [And he lugs several of the rods over and commences cutting them into shape. Fortunately, his outfit already includes gloves and safety goggles.]

Nice, now see if you can get that into a spray can! [...Is he kidding?]
