3rd Goal
Characters: Genda and anyone who stumbles across him!
Setting: Floor 32
Format: Action is preferred
Summary: Genda's pissed off after a past conversation, and decides to blow off steam.
Warnings: None yet, though Genda's v. angry, whoops.
[Genda's set himself up a small training area on the far side of the island, deciding to only use one or two of the trees for training, since the tower provides little else for such things.
One tree's decorated with little, hanging foil shapes to keep birds away from the area - don't want them nesting in trees he may shake up! - and its bark looks fairly worn down.
Right now, that's where Genda can be found - he's been working on his punches, since it's the main force behind his goalkeeping tactics. Every once in a while, a punch may have visible, orange shockwaves - it's something he's working on, and these fists are filled with emotions that need to be released somehow.
If you happen across him at the right time, of course, he does pull back from his relentless attack on the poor tree - only to summon a huge drill above his head and burying it within the wood.
That helped a bit, sure. But now he's short one tree, and he promise himself he wouldn't destroy the forest.]
... Damn it.

Once Genda drilled through the tree, Kidou took that as a good chance to intervene.]
Are you alright, Genda?
no subject
... I'll be alright.
no subject
No, talk to me about it.
no subject
I don't know.
[He reaches up then, holding his chest like it hurts.]
I'm just confused, that's all. Don't worry about it.
no subject
You can't really expect me to not worry.

Uh, you all right, kid?
[It's kind of weird for someone his age to be practicing punches, isn't it?]
no subject
I'll be alright.
I'm sorry if I startled you, sir.
[The first thing he does is apologize. Of course.]
no subject
...And my god, don't call me 'sir', okay? Name's Beat.
no subject
And I'll call you that, if you'd like. Beat, then.
You can call me Genda.
[Finally turning to face Beat then, and Genda gives him a smile! Though, it's little and partly forced.]
no subject
[He returns the smile. But this one seems genuine, if a bit sleazy. Sorry, he finds it really hard to smile any other way.]

Ah well.

Is everything alright?
no subject
Yes, I'm alright - don't worry about it. I didn't mean to cause that much damage, that's all.

[Which is mostly true!! This is nothing compared to the training he's gone through under his newest coach, back home.]

Either way, he tries to muster up a smile for Sakuma, though it's not all there - he knows better than to hide when he's upset from him and Kidou.]
... What're you doing out here, Sakuma?
Come to watch me practice or something?
no subject
[He stays where he is though and he doesn't ask what's bothering Genda. If Genda wants to tell him, then he will without Sakuma forcing his way into matters that could be personal.]
You know it still feels a bit weird to see you use that hissatsu.
no subject
That part gets a little chuckle from Genda though, and he scratches his cheek.]
It's weird seeing me use it? Really?
no subject
[He shrugs a little. He was looking forward to going home and being with the rest of Teikoku again but... well, he's stuck here now.]
the latest late person that ever was late
It scares her, a little, seeing that kind of destructive force coming from someone she cares about that much. But she doesn't say anything for a long few minutes.]
Nobody's going to hurt you. Not on my watch. I promise. I talked to him and I put it as plainly as I could: no hurting you. No saying anything else that will hurt you. No threatening you.
I'm so sorry that happened. I should have prevented it.
shh shhhh
But the way he responds to the surprise of her visiting, and everything she says, and just the way that she's caring for him and standing up against that murderous terror - he moves over to wrap his arms around her middle, scooping her up in a wordless hug of thanks.
He didn't want to tell Kidou, but Gamzee was frightening as hell, and the thought that this troll wanted him dead...
Yeah. It's unneeded to say that he's grateful Feferi did that for him.]
no subject
Ssh, now. It's going to be all right. I promise. Okay?
[And she keeps making soft, comforting noises.]
no subject
... I'm sorry, Feferi. All I did was enrage him further - I shouldn't have bothered.
no subject
[Feferi sighs.]
Maybe we should sit down for this part.
[And she does, taking a seat against one of the trees. She picks up a fallen twig, turning it anxiously between her fingers.]
Do you remember that month where they took a bunch of us away from the tower? The one where they turned off all the lights and stuff for those who were left here?
