Hacking #03: Monster Hunting

Characters: April and anyone
Setting: Hallways of the tower.
Format: Brackets to start with, but I can match you!
Summary: Now that things have calmed down a bit in the tower, it's monster hunting time.
Warnings: Some violence, but that's about it.

[The Hallways]

[Now that things had calmed down again, April had turned herself to another one of the projects she had decided to do when she isn't trying to crack the towers system, and that project was trying to make a monster list. Plus, monster hunting was good stress relief and April had been stressed out a bit lately.

So throughout the hallways of the tower tonight, some of the monsters will be electrocuted by one red haired woman with glowing green eyes, and the more stronger ones will be electrocuted with higher voltages before being shot a few times by her rifle. And once they're dead, she will crouch by their corpses and start writing things down in a little notebook she's carrying with her.]

... This would probably be a lot easier if I made a device for something like this... [But despite her grumblings, she still keeps taking notes.]

... I guess... [Then she sighs, realizing that he probably won't stop arguing with her about this.]

... F-fine.

[kindofademon]

Awesome! So just tell me what I should write down and I'll be your note-taker~

[technologic]

Basic details on their appearance, how many of a certain kind appear, what their attacks are, any weaknesses and how simple they are to take down.

[And now she hesitantly hands him the notebook... which is filled with barely readable writing] Though, uh, my writing is really bad, s-so I'm sorry about that.

[kindofademon]

No problem! [He flips through the notebook.] I've read worse.

[technologic]

[He'll find that she's already written up quite a few notes about the monsters so far. Though it's hard to tell which are scribbles and which is actually writing.] Um, thanks... And you might want to stay away from me a bit, since my way of fighting is kinda... destructive.

[kindofademon]

Gotcha. [He'll make sure to follow at a safe distance.]

[technologic]

Okay, let's go. [And away they go monster hunting. And when they find another one, April seems to start sparking off electricity again.]

[kindofademon]

[Rapt amazement!]

That is cool!

[technologic]

Huh, what is? [She turns her now glowing eyes towards him, electricity still flickering around her.]

[kindofademon]

The glowy electrical thing. C'mon, I want to see it in action!

[technologic]

[Blink, blink, but then she shrugs and looks back towards the monster. And without even moving, electricity flares out violently from around her to strike at the monster.

It doesn't seem to be one of the stronger ones, as it's only a matter of moments before it's just a smoking and twitching heap on the ground.] ... Hmm, looks like I used too much voltage.

[kindofademon]

[Don't mind him, he's just squeeing over here.]

-oh right, notes.

[technologic]

[Yeah, he's getting a confused look now.] ... You okay?

[kindofademon]

Yes ma'am. [He starts writing furiously.]

[technologic]

[Blink, blink.] Okay... Just lemme know when you're done and we can keep going.

[kindofademon]

[Scritch scratch scritch.] Got it.

[technologic]

[She gives him a nod, before continuing to head down the hallway.] ... How squeamish are you?

[kindofademon]

Not at all.

[technologic]

Good. Cause I'm gonna try something that may result in monsters blowing up.

[kindofademon]

I can't wait.

[technologic]

[Okay, that gets a raised eyebrow, but she continues down the hallway. And this time when they come cross a monster, April moves closer to it, making sure to dodge any attack before placing her hand against it for a second before quickly backing away.

And once she's a safe distance away, the monster seems to... freeze and then twitch erratically. And then in the next moment, the monster simply explodes, prompting a sigh from April.]

[kindofademon]

[Stare. Poke bits of exploded monster. Poke poke poke.

Slowly grin.]

Cool.

[technologic]

... I was hoping to control them more fully, but I guess I still haven't fine-tuned it yet. [She nudges at a piece of monster with her boot, frowning thoughtfully.]

[kindofademon]

Don't worry about it, it's awesome as it is! [Guts everywhere!]

[technologic]

It's kinda messy though. But I guess that's what happens when I can't control the electricity in the body.
