Lullaby ♩ Rest
Characters: Princess Zelda and you!
Setting: Infirmary; Day
Format: Starting in action, will switch to prose if you'd like!
Summary: After getting beaten up by Ghoul Powder'd Momotaros and subsequently rescued by SS!Link, Zelda's stuck in recovery. She's not exactly thrilled about it.
Warnings: Vague mentions of injuries, nothing too gruesome.
[Well, she supposes only being incapacitated once without actually dying in the process is a pretty good track record for someone who's been in this accursed place over eight months now.
Wander into one of the few non-ruined floors - the infirmary - and you'll find one Princess of Hyrule laid up in bed. She isn't as bad off as she could be (healing magic is something she definitely needs to learn more about), but there are still bandages peeking out under her clothing here and there, bruises where the wrappings don't cover, and even the stubborn Princess herself recognizes that she should probably stay put for a while.
Still, that doesn't mean it isn't horrifically boring. There's a notepad of Fellowship related things at her bedside table - an attempt to get something done when she can't do much else, but even that grows dull and stagnant after a while.
Someone please save the princess from her own boredom.]

Link is... hesitant to peek into the infirmary. He saved that girl's life. He ought to check on her. But... Her hair, her eyes, her ears, they remind him...
And he's not proud to admit that was why he saved her. Because she reminded him of someone else.
But he saved her life. He ought to see if she's okay.
So he steps inside the infirmary, very hesitantly, and makes his way to Zelda's bed.

His name had disappeared from his door, hadn't it? And she's heard stories, witnessed conversations on the network detailing how sometimes your loved ones will come back after disappearing, only not to remember you.
She's worried, but doesn't let it show when Link walks in. Either way, she owes him her life, and so she smiles, friendly and polite. "Hello, Link."

"You...know me?"
no subject
"Ah, perhaps it would be better to say that I know of you. You and yours are a part of my country's history, I believe."
Not a lie, though perhaps not entirely the truth, either.

She's been doing a lot of sleeping, lying on her side since that was apparently supposed to help, even if it hurt some still. It's been long enough though that she's starting to get bored as well as nervous. It's during one of these points that she looks around and realizes that not only is she not alone, that's someone familiar over there, yep.
Well. She can still walk. So, she gets out of bed, slips her boots on and walks over, face growing more concerned the closer she gets and the more obvious Zelda's injuries become.]
Zelda?
no subject
She may not know Xion terribly well, but she knows the girl gets anxious easily, and so she tries to reassure her with something of a calm, if tired, smile.]
Ah, hello, Xion. How are you?
no subject
[Neeever going to admit that moving her torso or breathing too deeply still hurts a fair bit. She does sit down though, on the bed next to Zelda's. There, that was easier.
There's a worried frown on her face.]
What happened?
no subject
Something made a man lose his mind. I do not know what, precisely, but I ended up in his path. What happened then is fairly obvious, but thankfully, a brave young man brought me to safety before it was too late.
[Even if dying meant she wouldn't have to spend so much time here, she'd still rather not.]
no subject
The sight of Zelda laying in one of the beds, though, drives every other thought out of Tara's mind. She makes a small, soft, panicked little noise before scurrying over the princess' side.]
Z-Zelda? Z-Zelda, w-what happened? A-Are you okay?
[Stupid question, she knows, but...well, old habits.]
no subject
I am all right now, Tara; do not fret. I have not been injured in a way time will not heal.
[Her voice and expression remain composed, if somewhat tired.]
As for how I came to be this way... simply put, I was caught up in a battle I did not necessarily want to win. Unfortunately, men driven out of their senses are difficult to reason with.
no subject
[Because Tara's gone through that one once, and it led to her getting vivisected, and that sucked.
She takes several deep breaths to try and calm down.] O-Okay. Um. I-I can help. I know this potion. It doesn't heal anything on its own, it just...speeds things up. I-I can make it, if you want me to.
no subject
[So, no - no getting vivisected in the near future. She smiles slightly, reassuringly, encouraging Tara to calm down. Fortunately, healing potions are a thing in her world, so it doesn't get so much as a second thought.]
If you would not mind, that would be greatly appreciated, Tara, thank you. Anything that will shorten my stay here would be wonderful.
[Seriously. The clear-collared drones get creepy after a while.]

The infirmary isn't really a place she visits much - she heals fast enough so that visits when she's injured aren't really necessary. Even so, she visits from time to time, to check in if there are any hurt residents. Call it a habit she never really broke from her first life, when she would check in on her injured soldiers.
She's certainly glad she chose to visit today, when she notices a very familiar fellow blonde, and wastes no time in running over to her.]
Princess! What happened?!
no subject
[Then again, she didn't really want to win the fight, anyway. Momotaros was clearly not in his right mind. Though... the exact source of his madness is something that has yet to be figured out.
Still, she doesn't want her friend to worry, so she gives her a small smile.]
I am all right now, however. A kind young man saved me, and I have been healing here ever since.
no subject
A look of relief crosses her face, replacing the troubled frown.] But it is good to hear that you will be fine. Though I will still worry a bit, if that's all right with you.
no subject
[Really. There's the incident itself, of course, but then she has no idea who else might have been affected by the sudden madness, or who the perpetrator is or if they'll do it again. And all she can do about it is lay here! Troublesome indeed.]
Honestly I would prefer it if you would simply keep me company for a while. It is horrendously dull here, I would have you know.

She made notes to herself, now and then, about who was in there each time she passed by.
But when she passed this time, a little while later? That's a face she wasn't expecting to see. The pacing around stuff could wait.]
How are you feeling?
no subject
I have had better days, to be sure, but I shall live. Thankfully there are a good number of healers among us.
[Likely the reason why she isn't even worse off right now. She tilts her head slightly, cordially.]
And yourself, Feferi?
no subject
[Feferi takes a seat in a nearby chair, settling herself.]
I'm very glad that the dust is finally starting to settle after this latest round of chaos. I don't think anyone was expecting something like that.

I forget if he learned Zelda's name >_<
So when he notices a familiar face, the one who had organized the Fellowship meeting, as he passes the infirmary, he heads over.*
Were you attacked...?
Haaah, if nothing else, he might've heard it around? |Da;
Unfortunately, yes. Men who have lost their senses are difficult to reason with.
Sounds fair enough to me!
In a place like this, it's a wonder such a thing doesn't happen more often. I'm sorry, for the both of you.

Zelda straightens slightly, swallows that residual fear, and speaks up.
"It is rude to lurk in doorways, you know."
no subject
"Yeah, well..." He pauses, not really sure where to go from here with that. He eventually speaks up again, though it's likely more reserved than anything Zelda's heard out of the Imagin.
"...ain't like I could do any worse than I already did."
