001; [OPEN]
Characters: Roxas; OPEN TO ALL
Setting: Tower hallways
Format: [Action] but will match
Summary: Venturing out into his surroundings after waking up!
Warnings: None atm; will update if this changes
Dorm Hallways - Dorm Floors 4 & 5:
[ It's...disorienting. The rooms, the floor, the way the building's structured--all of it's new to Roxas. This type of architecture isn't like anything he'd find back in his Tree-City, with shops and stores and homes built into knots and niches in the wood. This place looks so...artificial. Despondent? He's not sure if that's the right description; it feels far too much like a dream. And that note...
"Your world's been destroyed." That can't be right--
Overwhelmed, he's placing one hand on the wall and the other to his head. What's going on here...? ]
Stairwell - en route to Floor 38:
[ It takes a bit of navigating to get to the stairwell--mostly because his home of Bellim doesn't have them. All traffic done from one level to the next is via oversized roots. Stone steps in what's basically a tunnel to Roxas isn't the first place he'd go to try and find his way to the next floor.
Honestly, it's weird to be cut off from the outside like this. Where are the portholes to see outside? Where's the exit for that matter? ]
What is this place...? [ Yep, now he's muttering to himself ]
Floor 38 - Lounge:
[ Now this is...better? Sort of? Roxas doesn't recognize this sort of layout other than certain pieces of furniture, but those are all fleeting concerns in his head: once he notices the clear-glass window panes he's rushing over and placing both hands against them, staring in complete and utter disbelief.
Where in the world is this?? It's all mist--where's the bright sunny sky and the forest canopy?? Where's Bellim, his Tree-City??
Roxas' hands curl against the glass ]

[Floor 38]
[Which is why she's come to the 38th floor now; as far as the floors in the tower go, it may not be the most interesting, but... well, the lounges have always been comparatively comfortable, and a change of scenery seemed to be in order. It's not so unexpected to have company, but as she descends the stairs far enough to realize that someone else is already here, she's nevertheless brought to a stop by specifically who that someone else is-- or appears to be, anyway. She recognizes that hair color instantly, and she also recognizes instantly that something is very off. So hopefully he won't mind that there's a young lady stopped halfway down the stairs staring - no pun intended - at the back of his head, then at the rest of him.]

He's loathed to tear his eyes away from the sight, but eventually Roxas manages a glance back over his shoulder and--
There's no recognition, no usual sense of deja vu--just an uneasy expression. Judging by this girl's appearance she must be...human. He's never met one besides his own mother. ]

Um... [ Where does he even begin. The world, the note, this building....
Roxas settles for pointing at the window, looking helplessly lost ]

So, before long, Riku trudges his way, taking a just a few feet behind him.]
You lost?
floor 38
But then Riku actually speaks and he starts a little, glancing back over his shoulder. ]
--Huh? [ ....Wait, what the heck? This guy? Kid? Has silver hair? Roxas stares. ]
floor 38
Riku lets out a soft sigh, folding his arms over his chest.]
What's with that look?

...You new too? Man, I haven't been here that long either.
no subject
Do you know what's going on? I met one girl, but...
no subject
What? You didn't read the letter?
Dragged outta your home and stuck here, I guess. Somethin' about saviors or whatever....
I don't believe them one bit though.
no subject
I read the first one, but... I didn't believe it either. You can just destroy an entire world.
no subject
Exactly, there's just no way. There are just a bunch of whackos here.
no subject
So then what's going on--? How could we all be taken from our homes with no one noticing?

[stairwell]
... but the clothes are wrong. All wrong. She stops, one foot hanging over the next step, and she can't help but stare. Who...? What...?]
Re: [stairwell]
...Hi.
hi OURox is one of her close CR so you get to be bugged
Hey, Rox! You see anything out there?
[Sayaka pauses for only a moment, and lets a bit of nervousness bleed into her voice.]
...It's not another whale, is it?
8>c oh goodness
The second is "whale," because even if the region he lives in borders the ocean on two separate sides, ocean travel is incredibly rare and he doesn't even know what that word means. So whale could be literally....anything.
The third and final thing is the color of her hair and eyes--blue. Blue. It leaves him gawking a bit, honestly, when he turns to answer her.
Nero was right, there really are people with blue hair-- ]

[...caught up in her own ramble, Sayaka sneaks a glance over her shoulder. Nope, nothing there.]
--Welp, can't be that one.
