Dorm Hallways - Dorm Floors 4 & 5:
[ It's...disorienting. The rooms, the floor, the way the building's structured--all of it's new to Roxas. This type of architecture isn't like anything he'd find back in his Tree-City, with shops and stores and homes built into knots and niches in the wood. This place looks so...artificial. Despondent? He's not sure if that's the right description; it feels far too much like a dream. And that note...

"Your world's been destroyed." That can't be right--

Overwhelmed, he's placing one hand on the wall and the other to his head. What's going on here...? ]

Stairwell - en route to Floor 38:
[ It takes a bit of navigating to get to the stairwell--mostly because his home of Bellim doesn't have them. All traffic done from one level to the next is via oversized roots. Stone steps in what's basically a tunnel to Roxas isn't the first place he'd go to try and find his way to the next floor.

Honestly, it's weird to be cut off from the outside like this. Where are the portholes to see outside? Where's the exit for that matter? ]

What is this place...? [ Yep, now he's muttering to himself ]

Floor 38 - Lounge:
[ Now this is...better? Sort of? Roxas doesn't recognize this sort of layout other than certain pieces of furniture, but those are all fleeting concerns in his head: once he notices the clear-glass window panes he's rushing over and placing both hands against them, staring in complete and utter disbelief.

Where in the world is this?? It's all mist--where's the bright sunny sky and the forest canopy?? Where's Bellim, his Tree-City??

Roxas' hands curl against the glass ]

...Oh, sorry. Kind of a cute little nickname I got for it, you know? You've probably seen one already, but 'giant skinless horror lizard' just isn't quite as catchy in casual conversation. No clue why.

So then...a dream? ~~More like a nightmare~~ But his knees and hands still ache from scraping around in the dirt back in his own world, so that option can't be it either.

[Ven frowed, and in contrast to Roxas, stepped closer to the...other Roxas, holding his hands up to try and calm him down.]

Hey, you OK? [Faces second, health first!]

My name's Ventus. His name is Roxas too. [And he gestured back at the Roxas that he had arrived with.] We're Sayaka's friends. This place is some kind of-- crossroads. It can bring people from alternate universes all to this one place. So, you must be an alternate version of Roxas.

[ Roxas wishes he was Sayaka right now )8 at least that way he would be the only one who doesn't look like...himself, really. Another Roxas, and a..."Ventus." That's about all he gathers from that explanation and it doesn't really help. He's still feeling sick to his stomach and more than a little cornered, especially when Ven steps forward.

And then the other world talk starts.

You are the only you! An alternate universe doesn't really mean that there's more than one of you. Your lives are probably too different to even be considered similar; think of it more as just someone having the same name as you.

[ Twins exist in his world--but he's an only child. And with a continental population of only a couple dozen-million, two similar-looking people doesn't happen that often. Complete copies are unheard of.
