Format: Action, but I'll match if you want.
Summary: Jeanne has killed a man and snapped badly at another all within the span of less than a week. Poor girl is sulking, big time.
Warnings: N/A

[Guilt. Guilt was a thing Jeanne did not like to deal with. During her first life and her second, she had always done her best to live honestly, to mind her actions and make sure she would not do anything she would regret. But here, in the tower... it seems events were being thrown at her just to stress her out.

And so that guilt caused Jeanne to retreat again, to just... take a break and ignore things for a while. She wanted to avoid the Cathedral for a while; she knew it was unlikely to happen again, but if there was an encounter like the one with Aleph, with her in this state? It would've ended badly. Very badly. Instead she simply chose to collapse in the lounge. And what is she doing in the lounge? What any distraught Catholic would do, of course: pray.

She doesn't exactly look like she wants to be bothered, with her head bowed and hands clasped together as she mutters softly, but that certainly won't stop some people from approaching. Right?]

[Her reaction to this is... pretty much the same as when Taro first spoke up. Sorry about the surprised yelp!]

Wha... What are you? A shapeshifter?

[Eh, it's fine. He chuckles a little, though.]

Basically. Technically I'm classified as a spirit. Or a demon, though demon's not really accurate. I just like to think of myself as a different kind of person.

[faithstaynight]

[A demon... the word made Jeanne uneasy. Spirit? Not so much. She herself is a spirit. Even so, it might not be a bad thing to be a bit cautious around this one...]

I see... that is quite interesting. I've never met a spirit such as yourself before.

[hachitaro]

At least in my world, we try to keep hidden. People don't tend to react well to what they don't understand.

[faithstaynight]

[... Ha. She can understand that. Though many people praised her and called her all sorts of wonderful things, there were still people who sneered at her, called her a witch and questioned the legitimacy of her visions...]

That is because they are scared. You cannot truly blame them for being fearful of things they have never seen before.

[hachitaro]

[... He puts a paw on her leg. He can tell there's something else, but he's trying to not pry despite his natural intense curiosity.]

I know. But it's still hard. And there's a lot of people who do blame humans for being scared. I think they're scared too, though.

[faithstaynight]

[Such a strange creature, and yet... oddly comforting. She reashes out to rest a hand on his head again.] They're scared of what the humans would do when spurred on by their own fear, yes?

[hachitaro]

Pretty much. ... I was, too. I hadn't revealed myself to any humans in a very long time until I got here. I helped create an entire branch of the Underground to help hide people who couldn't blend in like me.

[faithstaynight]

That's quite an noble thing to do. Were you able to help many people?

[hachitaro]

Yeah. The people who are in charge now aren't... the most trustworthy, though. I was trying to reveal what they were doing and figure out why they were doing it... but they sent someone after me.

[At least he died laughing.]

I'm sorry to hear that.

Things will turn out okay, I think. I have a friend who'll probably pick up where I left off, at least in some ways.
