008 | ❝Get this party started...❞
Characters: The Persona casts and invited guests (just ask if you want to hop in!)
Setting: Media Level, September 15th
Format: Whatever suits your fancy!
Summary: So the Shadow Event was Hell (haha), a few of them grabbed some booze from various sources(?!), so iiiiiiit's PARTY TIME~
Warnings: Somehow srs discussions in one thread and underage drinking in others? I don't even know, man.
So the last seven days had been a misty hell in the tower surrounded by fog... literally.
Muzicons.com
Sure, this was likely the normal aside from the fog... but that didn't mean that the residents didn't need some time to blow off some steam every now and then, and for the Persona users? It had been extremely rough on them with all the Shadows manifesting. That also included their own. Especially included their own in some cases (ow, Naoya...).
It didn't take much, just a small filteredand handwaved message to the other Persona users that Yu knew from either running into them in the battle for everyone's sanity in the past week or before then. "Bring what you can get your hands on," he said, but to the leaders there was also "we need to talk." Because there had been a long period of time where they hadn't spoken as a group... and after bribing Strega with a few rounds of Halo and possible drinking games if they could get their hands on some booze, he'd headed back up to the media floor...
There were no fancy decorations, but he had picked up what was disrupted from the fighting and cleaned like whoa. Everything was set up with whatever few snacks he'd saved in his trunk from the previous month.
Come on in whenever...
[ooc: feel free to mingle and do what you want. This IS a party, after all... so let loose and have fun with it! Start your own threads if there's something that doesn't fit what you were going to do. :3]
[EDIT: Due to earlier confusion, if anyone who knows/is close to any of the Persona people, they are welcome. Really, this is a party for friends.]

[Now there's an answer he wasn't expecting. Then again, it's not that dis-similar from himself, though Yosuke has to admit he does have a pretty big bias towards rock. A little Linkin Park and his day is made! Still, what he wouldn't give for a day with Minato's music player. Now there'd be a good time]
Actually, it's funny you should mention Queen. These guys have kind of a similar sound on some of their tracks. Your sister... that's the cute brunette with the hair clips, right? I remember seeing her around every now and then.
She's got taste! Queen might be classic, but it's still good.
So if you listen to anything, what's your favorite?

... Minami, yeah. That's her. Our parents were pretty music-loving people. Guess it just rubbed off on us both.
[ "Were", anyway. He remembers that much. As for favorites... that's too hard. ]
I... kind of acquired a bias for rock, alternative, sometimes some punk stuff, I guess. ... Classical or orchestral stuff. I can't name any bands in particular that are my absolute favorite. Every artist has their own merits. I've always liked bands with decent guitarists though. If I had the time, that'd be what I'd play, I think.
[ He's a pretty fair chance guy, so it follows he would like everything and not call one better or worse than another. Like, man, that Lotus Juice guy. So cool. And Yumi Kawamura? Also cool!! ]
But I guess if I had to pick a single song, it'd be Burn My Dread. The lyrics are nice. ... Ever heard it?
[ He's a tiny bit biased to it, maybe. ]

Hey, of all the things you can inherit from a parent, love of music isn't too bad.
[It's not. You could get insane loyalty to job and brand, and wind up working every single holiday and that's before trying to sell things to all of your friends at every opportunity. That one isn't so much fun to inherit. But Yosuke perks up when he hears of the fellow music lover's rock bias. He sounds genuine in his appreciation of everything, and Yosuke can respect that. People like that are truly hard to come by]
Burn My Dread... never heard of that one. Classic or pretty recent?

But it's nice to talk to someone who can genuinely appreciate music as much as he does. Though to be fair, Yosuke's parents are alive, at least? Of course, that kind of restrictive annoyance is something Minato wouldn't have liked much, either, buuuut... ]
Circa 2009, by Yumi Kawamura. Female singer, but she's pretty good. So, fairly recent. ... It's pretty weird finding stuff from after the year you're from here, though. I mean, it's cool in a way. It's kind of like getting a glimpse of the future of the music scene. ... I bet it's kind of crazy for the guys from way before us, though. 1996 and stuff, I think? ... Didn't they cassette players around a lot more then?
[ Speaking of his equipment and a lot of his music, he doesn't even remember where he picked it up... it's just the things he likes, really. The mp3 player is small and really portable. He prefers his Sony NW-S20x over a big iPod, really; it's good for battle or whatever. Not that it works during the Dark Hour... but he's come to appreciate the portability all the same.
Never mind he probably stole it when he was like 11.]Please excuse the stupid lateness of this reply!
[But that's really not important to the story. Music lovers unite!]
The name sounds familiar... but I don't remember hearing that one. And yeah, I know what you mean! I haven't listened to much of the stuff from the 3000's just because of how bad the thought even hurts my brain. I can't imagine what the Gas Chamber guys felt like, showing up here just to realize they're at least moderately successful and famous.
... let alone that CD's are a thing, yeah.
[He finds himself laughing, then grabs the end of his headphone cord and pops it out of his player before holding it out towards Minato]
If it's that good, I need to hear it. Mind plugging me in?
nooo problem. : |b
I don't mind at all. I think to some extent it's a matter of personal taste, what you like, but... music always meant a lot to me. I don't think I could imagine being anywhere without it.
