Summary: In which Eleanor mothers her roommates a little.
Warnings: None to begin with, but talk might come up about the Shadow event and life in the Tower in general.

[The general consensus in Eleanor's head - but not mind - was that after the mess with Shadows and stuff, the best thing would be a nice meal and maybe some company. But there's not much to eat in the Tower right now and she's not exactly the best type of company, she knows. Nonetheless, a little worried about her roommates, Eleanor went out fishing in the Aquarium, much like she'd had during the food shortage a few months back - had it been months already? - and busied herself frying and preparing some plates of fresh food. Eventually, and with a judicious amount of applied telekinesis, she teleports herself into the center of the room, still clad in her suit. Her roommates might or might not be already used to seeing her around wearing the looming monstrosity, and they might or might not be aware of her powers.

But she's certainly never arrived like this, what with the plates and the food quickly filling up the room with it scent.]

So. Uh. Is anyone hungry?

[April had been sitting on her bed and was tweaking with her rifle when Elanor teleports in. She had been aware of her wearing the suit and her powers, but she still blinks in surprise when she appears, her Bullfairy peeking up from it's place on her lap.]

Ah, yeah... Did you make all of that?

[thebigsister]

Mhm.

[The hum is somewhat muffled by the helmet, as Eleanor places the plates on her bed and goes about taking the helmet and her gloves off. She offers April a lopsided smile.]

I don't know about you, but I'm sick of cardboard food.

[technologic]

[April glances at the plate curiously, before giving Eleanor a smile back.]

It was okay at first, but it got really dull after a day of it... Thanks, Eleanor.

[thebigsister]

It does that.

[Eleanor makes a face.]

I'm still not entirely convinced it is actual food.

[Then she shrugs a little.]

It's okay, I figure it wouldn't hurt to share.

[technologic]

It probably isn't. It certainly doesn't taste like real food, at least.

[The Bullfairy gives a little chirp and goes over to sniff at the plate of food.]

Oi, say 'thank you', Charlie. [And the Bullfairy looks up at Eleanor and chirps at her again.]

[Eleanor grins at the little thing.]

Dig in, Charlie, there's enough even for you.

[lethechained]

[Perhaps some time ago, Naminé would have been more startled. Now, though, when she looks up from her drawing a touch suddenly, she is at least not frightened.]

Oh, Eleanor--

[She's just starting to smile a greeting when she catches sight of the unusual addition of food. Blinking, she processes a moment late what was said before.]

...!

[Oh, so that's why...!]

Hello.

[Eleanor takes a moment to get rid of helmet and gloves before offering Naminé a plate.]

Would you like some, Naminé?

[lethechained]

[It's a bit hard not to stare at the food in the mean time; it's not often she gets a meal of substance these days. Her eyes shift between the plate and Eleanor, a smile spreading across her lips.]

Yes, please...! Thank you, Eleanor. It's wonderful of you to do this for us.

[She reaches to take the plate.]

It's okay.

[Eleanor smiles lightly, shrugging at Naminé.]

It's not that much, I figure everyone can use at least some decent food after... you know.

[lethechained]

[The girl stills, quiet for a moment, then smiles almost apologetically.]

... Right. Good thinking.

[thebigsister]

[Eleanor nods.]

I'm glad to help.

[She pauses for a moment, eyes glazing over for a second, as they often did when she took a ride on someone else's mind. She shook her head after a moment, snapping out of it.]

And they say food tastes best in good company.

[lethechained]

[Naminé watches, a bit concerned, but doesn't interrupt her. Quick to smile on response,]

... Mm. Maybe they're right. I guess we'll find out...!

[thebigsister]

Mmhmm!

[She brightens up a little, sitting on the edge of her bed.]

Company is certainly good.

[lethechained]

[Naminé holds her plate carefully, certain not to allow any risk of waste or any kind of mess. That just wouldn't do, especially when Eleanor went to all the trouble of getting that in the first place. The blonde smiles across at her, pleased to see that brightening.]

It really is wonderful. Just like I thought. [Back in the beginning, that is, when she spent so long alone save for her captors.]

[thebigsister]

[Eleanor only nods in agreement, as she's certainly felt the sting of isolation in her life.]

I don't mean to pry, but, are you feeling better?

[ Rin is completely unaware of the other woman and her abilities, so when she sees her outfitted in the strange armor, it does catch her attention. Rarely is she in her room these days, but after the Shadowy manifestations, she felt strangely out of place. ]

You have food? [ Sustenance is a good way to keep her attention and possibly make her appreciate her. ]

Mhm.

[Eleanor nodded, smiling easily at Rin.]

What is it you want out of me?

[ It's clear she doesn't mean to be rude by the quizzical expression on her face, more that she just fails to understand someone being generous. ]

[Eleanor blinks in surprise.]

Nothing? It's just been a few rough days and the food hasn't been good either. So I went fishing.

[She laughs a little.]

It's too much for me to eat on my own, and I figured everyone could use a little pick me up.

[ For the girl who's never been shown a kindness in her lifetime, this leaves her apprehensive. ]

I could have helped you with cooking it. [ Adding quickly after: ] With fire, that is.

[Eleanor smiles, waving a hand dismissively.]

It's not hard, and I like having something to do.

[Quietly, she offers the plate again, smile easy on her face.]

[ Gently she takes it, her hold wavering a bit. ]

Mm, thank you. [ Quietly whispering that, she's quick to draw away from her. ]

How did you get this though? You don't mind me asking, do you?

Not at all.

[A little shrug, or at least little by Eleanor's standards. Months inside that suit have left most of her body gestures more than a little exaggerated.]

There's plenty of edible fish in the Aquarium, it's just a matter of going after them.

[ Sniffing a bit to get a good idea of what the food might taste like. Not as an animal would, but enough to be heard in the usual quiet around them. ]
