[CLOSED] you and i go hard at each other
Characters: Eleanor Lamb, Naminé, April Sinclair and Rin Matou(?)
Setting: Room 1-15
Format: [Action]
Summary: In which Eleanor mothers her roommates a little.
Warnings: None to begin with, but talk might come up about the Shadow event and life in the Tower in general.
[The general consensus in Eleanor's head - but not mind - was that after the mess with Shadows and stuff, the best thing would be a nice meal and maybe some company. But there's not much to eat in the Tower right now and she's not exactly the best type of company, she knows. Nonetheless, a little worried about her roommates, Eleanor went out fishing in the Aquarium, much like she'd had during the food shortage a few months back - had it been months already? - and busied herself frying and preparing some plates of fresh food. Eventually, and with a judicious amount of applied telekinesis, she teleports herself into the center of the room, still clad in her suit. Her roommates might or might not be already used to seeing her around wearing the looming monstrosity, and they might or might not be aware of her powers.
But she's certainly never arrived like this, what with the plates and the food quickly filling up the room with it scent.]
So. Uh. Is anyone hungry?

So. Uh. Is anyone hungry?

Mm. I'm--... I am, too. Maybe it's silly, but I feel safer now.
no subject
[Eleanor blinks, tilting her head to the side.]
You did a great job.
no subject
... Thank you. You did, too. It's just-- even if that's over... ['there'll always be something new'. There will always be another thing to cause them all trouble, it seems, but she hesitates, then shakes her head.]
... Nevermind. I should just be grateful that it is.
no subject
[Eleanor nods, smiling encouragingly at Naminé.]
Whatever happen next, we'll just have to kick its butt.
no subject
... Right. Or you will, anyway. [Self-deprecating though such a thing might be to say, she still laughs; it's also kind of a joke.]
no subject
[Eleanor gives Naminé a look.]
We wouldn't have been able to take it down without you, you know? You did the hardest part.
no subject
I... was just trying to protect everyone. ['from a mistake I made' goes unsaid, but very much felt.]
no subject
[Eleanor's smile brightens considerably.]
We won thanks to you.
no subject
But you had to fight because of me, too...!
no subject
I'm always fighting anyway. I might as well fight with you.
no subject
I'd prefer you didn't have to. But I'll-- always appreciate it.
no subject
[a small, awkward pause.]
Or for a good friend.
no subject
... I suppose... as reasons go, that's a good one.
[Not that she can count herself a 'good friend'.]
no subject
You think so?
[Eleanor smiles a little shyly.]
I'm still trying to figure that out.
no subject
Mm! Of course-- you do have to be careful to pay attention to your conscience, too.
[Her smile is small, but is definitely there in reply.
If one has one, of course.]no subject
...I think the real challenge is to figure out which voice is my actual conscience.
[She laughs though, wry.]
no subject
--... I'm sure it would be.
....
Eleanor...? What... is the reason for those voices? If you don't mind me asking.
no subject
Same reason as my powers, ADAM.
[She pauses, trying to think of how to explain it properly.]
...they're imprints, memories and skills and thoughts and voices, from the people who had the ADAM before they gave it to me. They're almost useful sometimes...
no subject
I suppose... it's amazing, how much you can learn from the memories of others. But it sounds-- difficult. [Noisy, at least, if she can hear them without meaning to.] I'm sorry.
no subject
[Eleanor picks a little at her food.]
It's not so bad, I think, after a while. You just need to... you know, ignore the worst of it.
[The bloodthirsty angry screams, she means.]
no subject
I guess that's one way to deal with a lot of things. I'm glad you can... cope.
no subject
[Eleanor laughs a little.]
I just have to remember who I am, and that who I am is not who they are, because I haven't done what they have.
no subject
... You know, if you ever need any help--....
no subject
[Eleanor blinks a little, a bit surprised by that last bit. Not used to having anyone to ask for help, this is a bit of unknown territory.]
no subject
You know... help remembering who you are, Eleanor. Or-- with anything else.
