Ed and Sollux had parted ways and he, for one, wasn't complaining. He had more important things to do. Things like finding out if this letter was for real. Somewhere in this tower he would find what he was looking for. I mean, Amestris couldn't be gone... right?

Regardless of how fortunate you are, you shouldn't have to feel that way about a person treating you as an equal and with respect. That's just how it should be.

Lost them in the Eastern Conflict when I was a kid. It was a huge civil war [except not reallly] and it tore up most of the countryside where I used to live. [not quite a lie] I was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Gotta say, they come in handy. Saved my sorry ass more times than I care to remember.
