2nd Recipe - Substitute Ingredients

[Room 3-11, Dorms - Day 1]

[At first, Kazumi barely even notices anything is amiss as she gets up - her body is, more or less the same, and she's half asleep. It's only when she goes to brush her hair and pokes her ears that she notices...]

Huh, what?

[And feeling around, she confirms that yes, she has dog ears. Staring in the mirror, she tries to clear her eyes but everything remains kind of blurry until she squints up close. That. That is not her face at all.]

[Floor 1, Cafeteria - Any Day]

[Dressed in Jade's dogtier godtier outfit and equipped with glasses, Kazumi is... down in the kitchens of course. She's cooking up a storm as usual, and more than willing to share. If you think it's odd that Jade is cooking so much, you recognize Kazumi's cooking (can people do that???) or are just hungry, come bother her!]

[Floor 25, Meadow - Any Day]

[Kazumi-in-Jade's body is out enjoying this one peaceful floor quietly... right until she sees one of the tinkerbulls go fluttering by. Normally she just feels kind of sorry for them but something about the way this one flies by just... makes her... want to...]

[Floor 10, Aquarium - Any Day]

[Kazumi is trying out Jade's space powers... shrinking things down or making them bigger. Mostly trying it on some of the fish, making tiny sharks or humongous minnows. She's giggling and having a lot of fun with it, though she jumps back in surprise when she accidentally makes a fish so big it bursts out of the wall of water, almost hitting her before she quickly shrinks it back down]

Aack! Geez, that was scary...

Hmm, well, it's a little weird! Like having long hair again... but at least this girl seems to be about the same size as me? So I'm not having those kinds of problems. As for the ears... ehehe, I'm not sure really how to phrase it, having ears on top of my head... they're pretty sensitive.

[Twitch twitch. She guess it is kind of like Jyuubey but... he had more than just the ears]

Not the pixies with wings kind of faerie, but the other spirits of nature from Arcadia. Some of them possess animal features as you do now.

Ohh, that's what you mean. That must be really cute!

Some are. Some are extremely irritating.

Ahaha... well, I guess it's fairy-like to play tricks on people.

[Not that she'd call what Jyuubey did something as light as a "trick" but she also suspects he's not a real fairy either]

The fae have two sides - a seelie and an unseelie side. Think of them as light and dark. [Which wasn't exactly true, but easier to understand than summer and winter.]

So... all of them are good and bad?

Not exactly. All of them have the capacity for it, yes, but each exonerates one aspect over the other. It creates two separate courts - the Summer Court and the Winter Court.

So, like a good kingdom and a bad kingdom? I guess they must have a lot of conflicts.

...it is not as simple as that. Not black and white. Not clean-cut. And Winter, the unseelie, are not necessarily evil.

It is hard to explain and I cannot remember everything Merlin taught me.

Oh, okay... wow, what, you were taught by Merlin? Isn't he that really famous wizard guy?

Yes, yes... That is unimportant. [Saber waves the question away. The old wizard was not someone she cared to talk about.]

But do you see what I mean? Is winter bad or evil? No. It is a natural part of the land's cycle. It is necessary.

I guess that's true... plus it's really pretty!

I guess that's true. I hadn't really thought of it that way much.

[She'd just had too many times associating night with bad things that had happened, with witches, and darkness with a soul-gem's taint]

Is that why you wear so many dark colors? [By which she means a whole lotta black.] Being a knight of winter.

Yes. When I was a knight of summer, I wore silver and royal blue as was befitting of my station as the King of Knights.
