2nd Recipe - Substitute Ingredients

Summary: Kazumi wakes up in the body of a different magical(?) girl. Confusion ensues. Replies from witchofpleiades.

[Room 3-11, Dorms - Day 1]

[At first, Kazumi barely even notices anything is amiss as she gets up - her body is, more or less the same, and she's half asleep. It's only when she goes to brush her hair and pokes her ears that she notices...]

Huh, what?

[And feeling around, she confirms that yes, she has dog ears. Staring in the mirror, she tries to clear her eyes but everything remains kind of blurry until she squints up close. That. That is not her face at all.]

What's going ooooon!?

[Floor 1, Cafeteria - Any Day]

[Dressed in Jade's dogtier godtier outfit and equipped with glasses, Kazumi is... down in the kitchens of course. She's cooking up a storm as usual, and more than willing to share. If you think it's odd that Jade is cooking so much, you recognize Kazumi's cooking (can people do that???) or are just hungry, come bother her!]

[Floor 25, Meadow - Any Day]

[Kazumi-in-Jade's body is out enjoying this one peaceful floor quietly... right until she sees one of the tinkerbulls go fluttering by. Normally she just feels kind of sorry for them but something about the way this one flies by just... makes her... want to...]

[Floor 10, Aquarium - Any Day]

[Kazumi is trying out Jade's space powers... shrinking things down or making them bigger. Mostly trying it on some of the fish, making tiny sharks or humongous minnows. She's giggling and having a lot of fun with it, though she jumps back in surprise when she accidentally makes a fish so big it bursts out of the wall of water, almost hitting her before she quickly shrinks it back down]

Aack! Geez, that was scary...

[It was like the scent of Kazumi's cooking along drew the King of Knights like a blood does a shark.]

Kazum--

[Wait. The knight, dressed in the black suit she wore in the 4th War, cut herself off and furrowed her brow.]

Who are you?

Ah, Saber!

[Kazumi waves cheerfully, dog-ears perking up]

It's me, Kazumi! I, uh, seem to have switched bodies.

[scorchedchivalry]

[Forgive her, but Saber is going to reach out to touch one of those ears.]

H-hey!

[Kazumi giggles and squirms a bit, the ears twitching at that touch]

[What an odd thing. Saber pinches the one to see if it elicits a slight pain reaction.]

...explain this to me.

[witchofpleiades]

Owowowow... [She pulls her head back, reaching up and massaging her poor pinched ear]

I'm not really sure what happened... I woke up today in someone else's body, it seems like! And... I guess she has dog ears!

[Rosa, in Homura's body, is standing to the side, staring at the dog-eared girl churn out food.]

[Unfortunately, Kazumi has missed meeting Homura so far, so she doesn't recognize her. Still, after setting out a plate of cookies, she waves over at her]

Hello! Are you hungry?

[homurosa]

Y-yes. A little...

[witchofpleiades]

Well, go ahead and help yourself! With the staff only handing out oatmeal and nutrition bars, I figured there'd be a lot of people who want to eat something else.

[Besides the cookies, there's already some pasta and a fruit salad]

I'm Kazumi! Oh, though this isn't my normal body.

[homurosa]

T-thank you.

[She picks up a cookie.]

I am Rosa Ushiromiya. This...is not my normal body either. I am usually...older.

Meadow, Day 1

[So far, Itachi's had no luck in finding his body. He's relaxing in the meadow, and he watches the little fairy bull fly past at the same time that another person does.

When that person starts barking at it abruptly, he's so startled that he almost jumps. This body is a lot harder to control than his own; he's not used to it at all. But he suppresses that reflex, and instead his eyes just go wide.

He doesn't say anything, but he is very noticeably staring at the dog-girl.]

BARKBARKBARKBARKBARKBARKBARKBARKARFBARKBARKBARK!

[And she is chasing after the poor thing as it flutters as fast as its poor, mutilated wings can carr it... right... in itachi's... direction...]

[As soon as Itachi realizes that the pair aren't going to swerve to avoid him, he moves to scramble out of the way. But, because he instinctively tries to move limbs that are too short and weak with a burst of chakra he no longer has, he soon finds himself sprawled out on the grass, the wind knocked out of him.

This is not his proudest moment.

He pushes himself up on his elbows, only to realize that the dog-girl is a second away from trampling all over his - well, "his" - legs.]

BARKBARKBARKBARKBA-waugh!

[And that was Kazumi tripping over Itachi's legs and falling face first in the ground beside him]

[Itachi bites back a grunt of pain when the girl trips over his legs. He pulls them underneath of himself and sits up, brushing grass off of his shirt.

He's not going to say anything just yet. He'll just hold his elbow and glare, oblivious to the fact that his glare looks more like a pout in Romeo's body.]

[Kazumi's cooking brings all the Pleiades to the yard. And so the minute Saki smells it, there she goes.]

Hi, Kazumi, that smells really good --

[...that's not Kazumi.]

-- sorry, I thought you were a friend of mine.

[witchofpleiades]

Ah, Saki!

[Kazumi waves as she sets a dish of food down on the table]

It's me, it's me! Eheheh...

What - but you don't look like yourself. Or sound like yourself.

[Pardon Saki, she's just going to inspect Kazumi's new Witch self. Noting the tail and the ears.]

...what happened?

[witchofpleiades]

Er, well... I kind of woke up like this! So I'm not really sure. And in a different room so... I guess I switched bodies with someone?

Cafeteria

[Eventually, Jade's search for the new owner of her body leads her to the cafeteria and wow, that food smells really good! She follows the scent and finds... oh, hey. There's her body. That was... easier than she was expecting. Not that she's complaining, of course.]

Hi! You must be Kazumi! I'm glad I finally found you. My name is Jade, and I'm the one who ended up in your body.

[... wow, that sounds really weird to say out loud.]

Ah! My body!

[Setting down the soup she'd just brought out, she bounces over to herself - the person in her body? - ears perked up]

Oh, wow, hi, Jade! Eheh... I was looking for you... me? You, I guess... I was looking for my body earlier but then I got kind of hungry so...

[Not as hungry as she usually got though... that was probably Jade's problem now; came with the body]

[Jade smiles a little sheepishly when Kazumi mentions getting hungry.] Now that you mention it, I'm pretty hungry myself... and that food smells really good! Would you mind if I had some?

Go ahead! I was making it for anyone who wants any, since the food here otherwise isn't that great.

Thanks! [Jade starts getting herself some food now that she's sure it's okay.]

So is there anything I should know about this body I'm in now? Other than the fact that it's apparently got quite the appetite... [She laughs a little.]
