[2nd Evil Meeting] || [Evil is One Big Family] || [Open]
Characters : Open to any and every villain / morally gray character in the tower
Setting: Eight Floor (Labyrinth)
Format: Either Prose or Action
Summary: This is a reunion for all bad guys in the tower, or at least characters who are morally gray, who think ends justify the means, etc. If your character qualifies, feel free to post in. There are no invitations or network message about it, Ganondorf simply spread the rumor that a reunion was about to happen on the 8th floor, this way all bad guys could get word of it.
There will be mostly the bad guys speaking about what happened lately and what should be done. Possibly a few far-fetched plans to take over the tower. And probably ideas to make the good guys' lives even worse. Spies are welcome as well, although of course, there are risks…
Like for the other reunion/party threads, this one will be divided in sub-threads. One of them for before the reunion, one during and one after. There will be another thread for Kidou and Romeo (aka the bitties) who have been invited at the very endfor corruption purpose and a fifth thread where Reno's betrayal will be uncovered after the reunion ended and most participants left.
Warnings: EVIL. If a good guy interrupts the reunion he’ll be killed or worse.
Unlike last reunion, this one didn't happen in the Cathedral. No, too many people had walked in the cathedral last time and it was too much of an open space. Didn't want another Link or so-called hero to walk in and get off'd. This time it happened at the center of the maze in the eight floor. Much more discreet and less dangerous-
Those participating in should have no difficulty reaching the center fortunately enough. Undesirable intruders though... That is better left unsaid.
The maze was different from usual. It was night already and grey, dense mist was filling the entire floor. In the center of the maze were over ten chairs, all of them identical and arranged in circle. It was so that those sitting could speak to each other directly and freely. They were all identical. much like last time Ganondorf had figured it wouldn’t be a good start if he had given different chairs to everyone.

[ Ganondorf remains fairly calm- That's pretty amusing from his viewpoint. he hadn't expected for things to go so well according to the plan. There was always something to get in the way of his schemes usually.
Not today, unfortunately for these two. ]
It doesn't matter if she's one of yours. Do you hear her? She's obviously neither ready nor able to participate in our meetings. She shouldn't have been here.
[ He pauses and sighs, visibly getting irritated by the time it's taking. ]
You know what you have to do.
no subject
Killing her ain't gonna get her memory erased if it's been that long. The only reason it worked with Link was cuz I did it right after he barged in. You should know this. You were me for a goddamn week.
{Reno shook his head and put on a nervous smile, hands on his hips.]
The hell is this? Some sort of test?
Lemme know if Ganon would've cut her off early and I'll fix
She had to do something. And if getting out wasn't going to work then...]
Reno, please just go! I'll be okay I just... I don't want him to hurt you. He says he wants to expose a traitor and... [She sags against the front of the crystal, her head leaning forward against it and sliding a little. She knows it's probably a largely ineffectual plea, but... she has to try.
Please, be safe whatever you do]
Naaah it's fine
Xion's voice cannot be heard after "He says he wants to"- Her lips can still be seen moving, but nothing can be heard of it outside the crystal. Xion can keep screaming, but not a a single of her words will be heard by those outside the crystal.
Xion however can hear Ganondorf and Reno just fine. ]
What an annoyance, but you're right. It probably won't work this way.
It's not test, I had overlooked this element. I'm going to have and do it myself then.
[ He shrugs and stare at the crystal... He's sure Reno will enjoy his method a lot, right? ]
Reno, when you were in my body, did you happen to see my memories of the Dark World? Some call it the World of Darkness, others the Evil Realm, I personally call it the Void between Dimensions. The world I rule over, the world I took possession off in my youth.
no subject
Pretty bad place... you were... stuck there. Those people that you fought with... they don't try to get along with ya, do they? They didn't care 'bout anything but themselves.
[He had a moment of disorientation, probably a side effect of having spent a week in someone else's body, but the memories weren't trying to take over his brain at least. If anything, Reno could understand Ganondorf's point of view on some topics.]
Kind of reminds me of some people back home.
Anyway, the girl's not really a threat. Do ya really need her memory erased? I mean... [a heartbeat, really really loud in his ears] I could kill her if ya want, but... seems kinda unnecessary. No memory erasing... sort of like puttin' down a queen and actin' like you got a royal flush.
[He was a Turk. He could lie with a straight face like that.
But that last part... a royal flush- that was poker. He'd been teaching the kids the basics of the game.
Wasn't that... a bluff he was talking about?
Xion, if only you knew how sorry he was... he was in a dangerous game, he had to play the cards he was dealt.]
no subject
[They aren't reacting to what she was saying. Why aren't they listening? She beats a little more on the walls, but with the pain already in her hands, they aren't nearly as strong as her initial attempts, and do no good.]
Reno? Reno! Please...
[Please, please you have to listen to her...
At last she seems to give up, fully sagging down inside the crystal, tears leaking from the corners of her eyes. From there, there's nothing to do but listen to what's being said, but it wasn't... it wasn't making sense. A Dark world? Constantly fighting?
Then when Reno said he could kill her, her eyes sharpened on him, a brief look of horror crossing over her face. She'd never worried about such a possibility because she'd never thought he'd do anything like that, and it made something dark and uneasy clench in her stomach. Maybe it was better than this... this dark world, and death wasn't permanent in the Tower, but...
Then the mention of a royal flush. Wasn't that a really good hand in poker? He'd been teaching her, but... what did it have to do with now? She bows her head, clenching her eyes shut. She doesn't want to be a part of this anymore. Not that she ever did. But now more than ever she just wants to be gone, with her friends somewhere far away, or even eating ice cream with Roxas and Axel back in Twilight Town.
She's never hated this tower as much as she does right then.]

[ He walks around the crystal, thoughtfully. He could only imagine what they were think, and that card analogy-- Oh well, time to move on to the next part. ]
You have no idea what horror can befell residents of the evil realm. Pain and suffering beyond imagination- The fate reserved to the enemies of the Hylians. Some even turn into animals, trees or living walls. The tower- [A low chuckles.] You all act as if this tower is the single worse and most awful place in existence. A living nightmare. The truth is, this tower is nothing compared to what awaits beyond...
[ They can hear the exit doors of the maze slamming shut. That's all really to create an ambiance and get Reno as uneasy and uncomfortable as it can get. After all, he's a traitor. ]
Of course I was not a victim of this world- I am its absolute ruler and in a sense, its maker. But I have seen and witnessed people, who under such extreme pain wished they could die... But they weren't allowed to die. I find it interesting how different beings react to suffering, but in most case the mind ends up receding. Some forget their friends, their loved ones, more and more things and after a long time? They forget who they once were...
[ He looks at Xion with a smirk then back to Reno with a more professional face. ]
I think we have a solution to our problem then! Tell me Reno, you know her pretty well don't you? How long do you think it would take for her to forget these four past hours?
no subject
How long... I couldn't say, I don't have that kinda power to erase that long of a memory. I don't remember all that much about yours.
[His nonchalance grew with the deepening situation.]
Founding member, huh?
[He gives Ganondorf a hard stare.]
What makes ya think it wasn't on my orders she be part of it?
no subject
(And maybe that's just fine... he wouldn't want the likes of Xehanort or Vanitas to pick up on his presence.)
While this spot behind the wall doesn't give him any line of sight, he is close enough to listen, to hear the voices of the attendees and sense the make of their heart, and last is really all he needs - voice and looks can be disguised, can be hidden beneath illusion. The scent of a heart? Not so much.
He feels something inside him twist when the children arrive and speak (stupid idiots; he's warned them against this, they all have, and still-), he stays in place until the meeting is over and beyond that - it seems better to wait them out, to make absolutely sure that no one is aware of his listening in on them.
He presses himself further up against the wall when Ganondorf speaks of a problem - had he been found after all, even though he had been so careful? - but nothing prepares him for the sheer horror that washes over him when Xion's name is spoken, when he hears her muffled voice sound from the center of the maze.
It takes a second to force that horror down - standing frozen in place is not going to help anyone - to keep listening as he tries to figure out just what to do now (and he slowly feels anger rising; at Ganondorf for using her for whatever he was up to, at Reno for not keeping her save like he's promised - maybe not to him, but to Axel).
And a moment later he is already leaving his hiding spot and taking quiet, but quick steps towards the exit of the maze.]
no subject
Then Ganon's suggestion, his description of the world he rules and the effects it has make her eyes open wide and her blood run cold.
She doesn't want to forget. She doesn't want to forget anything. Memories so many times feel like all she has and without them, without her friends or their faces or voices what is she anymore? Just a puppet, a useless doll. Without even realizing it, Ganon had picked the most horrifying thing to say.
She knows Reno's bluff is wrong because the Fellowship was started before she was ever a Turk. Before Axel left. Before Vanitas came back.
She doesn't want to forget.
Tears are well and truly streaming down her face now, as she flings her shoulder against the sides of the crystal, as much as she can in the cramped quarters.]
Let me go!
no subject
Since you don't offer me an alternative.
[ From now, Xion's voice can he heard once again. And, he starts doing exactly what he described to Reno earlier- The crystal is surrounded by what looks like lightning bolts for a second before he puts Xion under extreme pain. The kind of pain he described as making most people wish they could die but is just at the right intensity not to kill.
Quite obviously, Ganondorf has whatsoever no interest in erasing Xion's memories- If anything that counts as a nice bonus. What he's interested in is to see Reno's reaction and what he will do.
He sighs as if bored. ]
I believe we are going to be here for quite a couple hours. Maybe even days depending on her ability to resist.
Got permission from Zen to go before her
Everything is haze and red and pain and nonono stop it stop it stop it. All she can feel is pain even as she writhes, the confined space leaving her jammed in all sorts of uncomfortable-looking position that she doesn't even notice. Because pain, pain everywhere in her arms in her legs in her bones and chest and head and feet and everywhere she can think except she can't think for the agony.
There's a high wordless scream that sounds like her voice but can't be her voice because her throat hurts too much for it to actually be her and-
Please just stop just stop.]
no subject
Stop!
[Reno didn't even wait for an answer. His EMR was out and crackling with a speed that surprised even him. The lightning bolt that arched toward Ganondorf was powerful. A Thundaga with all the pain and rage he felt toward this beast that was hurting his friend.
He just couldn't let Xion suffer for his sake.]
Leave her alone!
no subject
When he finally, finally reaches the center of it all, he halts, heart pounding in his ears, eyes wide as he takes in the scene before him - Xion screaming, Reno attacking and himself frozen right in front of it, mind racing - should he attack, or...
And then he sees it, the faint glimmer of gold-pink, the keyhole shimmering right over Xion's prison.
Well... he can definitely take a hint.
A second later he is already on the move again, not thinking as Way to the Dawn jumps to his hand with a light ring, sliding into a halt once he is close enough, light already gathering at the tip of his Keyblade as he brings it, aiming at the gleam and then he fires a beam of light - knowing (hoping) that it would shatter that crystal prison
First thing is freeing Xion. They'll figure out the rest once that's done.]
no subject
The beam of light does break the crystal of course. The crystal is nearly unbreakable from the inside, but from the outside he didn't bother making any consolidation. As soon as the crystal shatters into thousands of pieces, Xion will find herself falling on the ground quite brutally but at least the pain ends instantly.
And at the very same time, lightning bolts fall all over the maze. As if breaking the crystal had activated some kind of security system. And indeed, each of these lightning bolts deposit a monster in the labyrinth, for the most part monsters originating from either Hyrule or Middle-Earth. ]
...
Joining the festivities, boy? Really, you shouldn't have.
[ Ganondorf turns to Riku- At least this had the advantage of revealing that there was another spy. Next two Darknuts appear right at Ganondorf's side. He addresses the two of them in a language most likely no one here may recognize- It is a language that probably only the Princess and Link know. ]
[ Whatever he's said, one Darknut turns to Riku, the other to Xion.
For now Reno's lucky that Riku's sudden appearance caught Ganondorf's attention, not for long though. ]
no subject
Then there's the barely-noticed sensation of falling, her heart leaping into her throat, then she slams into the ground, and the breath is knocked out of her. She chokes for a moment, lungs sucking in air she didn't realize how much she needed.
For several moments that feels like all she can do, stunned and dazed and aching from the fall and the fading echoes of the pain Ganondorf had caused. The haze in her head is clearing, but not quickly enough for that Darknut headed in her direction.]
no subject
All he registered was that Xion was out of the crystal and there was someone trying to help her.]
Get her out of here.
[And then he focused on Ganondorf, readying another Thundaga though it irritated his skin, like it had been burned after the first one. He ignored it and just focused on trying to drive the bolt through Ganondorf, prolonging it as much as he could.]
no subject
Even without Reno's shouting it, getting her out is his number one priority.
First he needs to get near her though.]
no subject
Ganondorf observes and prepares to cast a curse on Riku and Xion when the Turk attacks. He then turns to Reno and winces at the Thundaga- Hadn't seen this one coming. No matter, he pointed his hand at Reno and within seconds, Reno would see and feel his own shadow raising. This trick Ganondorf had taught him some time, how to use his shadow as another self, as an alter-ego?
It had been a very generous offer. Having a dedicated alter-ego doing whatever it is you desire is after all- Very useful. Alas, secret techniques from the Dark World have a tendency to turn on traitors. So it's no surprise when Ganondorf tries and uses Reno's Shadow to restrain him and keep him from doing further attacks.
Which of course this time around keeps Xion and Riku clear of Ganondorf's gaze, which is why he soon will summon his own shadow. ]
no subject
The lightning stops, Reno's arm already encased in shadow.
Dammit dammit dammit, he KNEW he shouldn't have accepted that offer. Keeping it secret had been hard, but now?
Struggling, Reno tries to yell out one more time, but it's drowned out by the darkness creeping over him.]
no subject
or uncaringof Reno's struggles, left arm lifting as he concentrates on the magic he is about to call, snapping his wrist as he whispers "Heal!" and green magic washes over both of them (and should he be close enough, also Reno). It's by no means a proper Curaga spell, but it's almost as strong as one, even though Riku still has some issues with focusing it properly. He doesn't let his eyes linger on Xion to make sure it worked properly - he can't with those fast approaching enemies, so he calls for another spell; one that he has mastered properly.
Way to the Dawn is dismissed as he draws back his right hand, channeling his fear, his worry, his furry into his darkness, drawing it into the spell before firing two large blasts of Dark Firaga at the Darknuts, each of them scattering into smaller blasts, then targeting the enemy.
He will keep this battle at distance as long as he can. As long as Xion needs to find her way back on her feet (no matter how unsteady she may be then).]
no subject
It's then that she's finally able to fully acknowledge and appreciate the change in position. She blinks, her eyes focusing as she sits, arms quivering a little as she pushes herself upright.
The figure next to her isn't Reno, like she thought it was. But she knows that coat, enough to be relieved. Her eyes drift past him, in time to see the Darknuts charging. She yelps, lifting her hands up in a shielding gesture, focusing her own power into the strongest Blizzard spell she can manage.
The shards of ice shoot past Riku's side (very nearly hitting him, something she'll be sorry for later) towards the Darknuts, and with luck they might hit, maybe even freeze one or both.]
no subject
That's what happens when you play with fire. And it's only beginning for you Reno. I have always despised traitors of any kind.
[ Note the hypocrisy considering Ganondorf himself betrayed the King of Hyrule long ago. Details.
Meanwhile, one of the two Darknut (the weakest one) positions himself to receive most of the damage and protect the other. Those monsters are amongst the hardest to defeat in all of Hyrule and the tower gave them an upgrade. The armor is nearly impervious to damages and must be removed for the creature to be killed. That happens after a lot of damages are caused to the armor or if they find a way to cut it down.
After the onslaught of Dark Firaga and the Ice Shards, it finally manage to do the job. When his armor shatters, it reveals a paper white and featureless creature, bearing a striking resemblance to some kind of anthropomorphic dog or something. On one hand, they can now attack him. On the other, he is now three times faster and agile. And the second Darknut is intact, so while the spells slow them down they should be soon enough within sword range, and they are expert swordsman.
Nevertheless, the Darknut better not be Riku and Xion's main focus. If they manage to look around, they'll probably witness Reno's fate as he is engulfed by his own shadow. And see Ganondorf's stern expression as he is now focusing on them, preparing a spell to cast on them. A bad one. ]
no subject
Not exactly ideal conditions to turn their backs and start running towards to the maze.
His mind is racing as he tries to find a way out of their situation - while might be able to finish off that unarmored Darknut rather quickly with Dark Aura, he is well aware of the drawbacks; Xion left unprotected, the two other enemies that just might disrupt his attack. No, he needs something different-
And then he remembers the last time his heart had raced like this, when fear had spread through him, had made him call for magic and crush a large rock right in the middle of a hallway...
...
It's risky.
He has only ever cast a spell like this once, while stuck in a body with instincts to use and handle that kind of magic, only barely knows what not to do, but... considering the lack of alternatives, it's worth a try.
Centering himself, he breaths deeply as he calls for what magic he has, as he tries mold it similar to what he had done when he had woken up in Terra's body, the best he can remember at least. He has only one try to get this right.
Just before he is about to cast the spell, he turns his head back to Xion.]
Get ready to run.
[Then he releases the magic, bracing himself as the earth starts shaking right beneath the Darknuts, and a rock start crashing-
A second later it all explodes into a huge blast, and it's only instinct that makes Riku throw up his left arm to shield his body and face and after the first wave passes, his shield goes up, weaker than usual, with only Darkness to feed on, but enough to protect him a little at least.
Well... he can't say this is exactly the result he had hoped for.
But at least the raised dust should make a good screen for their retreat. He is already turning back towards Xion; it's really time to go.]
no subject
Reno!
[She flips over, pushing herself to her feet, trying to ignore how her legs wobble. She's not sure what to do but she knows that she has to do something. She can't just leave him like that, she can't let him get hurt because of her!
In that regard, Riku's spell backfiring serves to not only cover their impending retreat, but the resulting explosion prevents Xion from darting out, forcing her back behind Riku for protection from the blast, covering her face with her hands. Coughing she glances up, trying to peer through the dust.
She sees Riku turning, she knows what he wants to do, but she can't. She can't leave her friend behind-!]
